Making new friends is a wonderful thing. Should you have a lot in common with your new friend? Do you have to look the same? What happens when you look very different from each other?
“The Jungle Crew” is an enjoyable rhyming story about how animals big and small meet and become great friends. Each animal has something special to share. Although they are look very different, there is something lovable in each and every one.
This is a story about diversity and how unusual friendships can lead to fun times and happy occasions. “The Jungle Crew” is a great bedtime story for children 3-5 years old.
Good rhyming and fun. Children would surely enjoy this. More to bedtime story, this must be added to the school curriculum of KG and children of upto 2nd standard.
The lion walks alone in the forest until he comes across a lonely hippo. The two become friends continuing the journey as new animals like a giraffe, elephant, toucan, zebra, and monkey eventually join in the fun. Each of the animals brings a new character trait or talent like humor, brains, loyalty, and generosity to the group. Each of the animals brings out the best in one another.
While the illustrations are simple and rather stylized, the rhymes are crisp and sharp. Counting skills are reinforced as each new animal is introduced. I would recommend this book as a bedtime story or fun read-aloud for children ages two through five.
There was once a lion who walked alone. 1-day I met hippo by the river bend. He was looking for a friend also. We became good friends & met giraffe. Next the 3 of us made friends with a large gray elephant. A black toucan was flying by & joined out group.
What animals joined their group next?

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) rhyming storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s movie, educational presentation (diversity, unusual friendships, fun/happy times), an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

This is a sweet delightful rhyming bedtime or anytime story about a crew of animals meeting and getting to know each other. They are getting to know each other for the next book adventure and the next and the next. It shows how different they are but how they can get along and become friends. Animals thought the lion was mean and cruel with big sharp teeth. His teeth were big and sharp to chew his food, just like you. He met a sad and lonely hippo on the road. He had big eyed and pink skin and was fat, though he would never tell him that. "Then I wondered what's wrong with that! ". They came across a giraffe. "You won't find a wiser animal than me." If there is a problem the giraffe doesn't quit. They meet more animals along the way. " We are all different yet we are the same because great friends are what we became. " Keep reading/listening because such fun you will have. The website for the free book does not work. How sad. I borrowed this book on a Kindle Unlimited website and so can you.
This was great. I enjoyed reading it to my grand daughter today. I like how it was teaching her about being different and they could all still be friends. Everyone has something different that they bring to each friendship they make. Not to judge just by appearance, get to know them, you might enjoy their company.
Must read for kids to make them understand the diversity and the friendship!!
Very simple language, kid loved thr poetic style of the writer.I could talk about lots of things like friendship, sharing, trust and fun while narrating the story to my kid. Highly recommend it for age-group 5+
What a fun sweet quick read this was! Perfect for teaching children that it doesn't matter what someone looks like it's who they are that counts, by using animals Emma makes this a read that will entice children to read it and take notice of it. It is very well written in a fun rhyming way with beautiful illustrations!
I thought this was fantastic and I would definitely highly recommend it. It’s about a lion who goes around making lots of friends with various different animals who then all become part of his ‘jungle crew’. This story has rhyming text and bright, colourful illustrations too that children would really enjoy.
My kid liked this story very much. I read her this story during her bedtime. She loved the hippo very much because she is the one who became friends with a lonely lion. I highly recommend this book for kids aged 3-7 . Happy Reading. Thanks Emma Scott for this lovely book. 😊😊😊

The book teaches a lesson of even though we alk different we can be nice and kind to one another and get along. MAN AMERICA NEEDS THIS RIGHT NOW.
Fantastic way to teach kids about how everyone is different but still have great characteristics and personalities to share. I love this! Great illustrations of each animal to enhance the story. I like it!
What a nice book. Lucid Enchanting Imagination stimulating Unravelling like a quiz Highlighting friends in a best possible way. My daughter could not leave without completing
It's a good book about diversity exploring differences in looks, character, emotions and behavior. However, despite these distinct differences, all of the animals could still be friends. This is definitely a book much needed about loving others in our day and age of racial and economic disparity.
This a good book about friendship, accepting that everyone is different and unique. Also you learn about some of the animals in the jungle. I like to read this book to my daughter.
A tale of a lion who is unhappy because he has no friends , but as he travels he starts meeting other animals. Do they become friends . You have to read this cute little story to find out. Recommended for young children!!
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the story, reading guessing the animals and the qualities of good friends. She was entertained and engrossed in it.
A short book about jungle animals and how they joined a friendly group of other animals. This book is teaching kids about interactions with kids who are different than them.
A good book to introduce animal Kingdom to your little one. Rhyming lines, simple and beautiful. Spread a smile on your little one by reading this book to them.
