Businessman bad boy Mick Sinatra is at a sweet spot in his life. His business is flourishing, the Feds are off his back, and Rosalind Graham, his African-American girlfriend, is making her own way in a cutthroat Philadelphia marketplace. He still worries sick about her, but he respects her drive and determination. He and Roz even find time for a reunion in Jericho with his big brother, Big Daddy Charles Sinatra, and meet a family filled with love, grace, and inspiration. But when his son is nearly killed in a drug-deal-gone-wrong scheme, and Roz is targeted in a snatch and grab, Mick finds himself in a war he didn’t know had been declared. He didn’t start it, but he knows he has to finish it, before it finishes him. Mick Sinatra 2: Love, Lies, and Jericho, is the second book in the Mick and Roz interracial romance series.

Book 2 in Mick and Rosalind's story. I love this couple very much they remind me of Gina and Sal from the Mob Boss.
Another great instalment and I love that whilst Roz may not be totally comfortable with the darker side of Mick's life she absolutely has his back. She is there for her man. Mick loves Rosalind and you better not mess with his woman or else you will have him to answer to. I also love the fact that Rosalind understands the dangers of being with a man like Mick and is not willing to let him go because she has never been loved the way that Mick loves her!!!
Always pays not to judge because the incident that happened at Charles' home when all the family were present, every judged Mick and found him guilty for what happened only to discover it totally had nothing to do with him or his connections. I loved that!!!!
This author never disappoints as far as I am concerned. I loved this book and I cannot wait for more about the Sinatras.
This is the second installment of Mick and Roslyn's love journey. Mick and Roslyn are totally devoted to each other and in love with each other. They both find it very hard to believe that they have found each other. Mick is a lot of things he's a crime boss with a volatile temper and so much so he has a nickname Mick the tick. He's a CEO of a Multi million dollar legitimate business. He's also a man Who is broken on the inside and doesn't even know it. Not until he meets his Roz. She along with his older brother Charles helps him to redeem himself. And he gets a second chance at life with Roz his children and most importantly with himself. This story has plenty of action and suspense I recommend this book to you.
Mick Sinatra aka Mick the Tick was a brilliant second story.
In this story we delve deeper into Mick the Tick and learn that he is a very complicated and hard man but also a man in love with an incredible woman. Rosalind aka Roz is crazy in love with Mick and is understanding him more and more. Her love for him makes him stronger and his love for her makes her incredible.
There are things that come across Mick's plate that people will understand he is not a man to be trifled with and when his lady love Roz and his long time driver Deuce is attacked and then his son Joey is almost killed. Let's just say we find out why he is called Mick the Tick.
We also learn that Mick is not a man to be trifled with either, he will kill you where you stand and won't blink. He is a father who is trying to become better for his four children and he finally goes back to the town where he left over 20 years ago and became Mick the Tick or Mr. Mick Sinatra. It was great catching up with Big Daddy Charles, his beautiful wife Jenay and their children.
And yes we get to see Mick and Roz take their wedding vows.
I was thinking when will Mick come across his nephews Tommy and Sal Gabrini. They are no slouches whatsoever and just as ruthless. Well it seems author Mallory Monroe heard me because, the next book will at least feature Sal Gabrini Woot! Woot!
I'm starting to believe if you've read one Mallory Monroe book, you've read them all. This one is pretty much more of the same, but I was entertained nonetheless. I really don't have a whole lot to say about Mick Sinatra except he's not one of my faves. The saving grace to this story was his emotional return to Jericho and reuniting with his brother Charles "Big Daddy" Sinatra. If you're a true Mallory fan (like myself), click it up.
I really wanted to say this was going to be absolutely great hands down but I really can’t. Seems like when you’ve read one, you’ve read them all. Most of the story is sex, then you have a bunch of different ways the characters are repeated over and over, we know Mick was a serious man, we know Roz was all in with him, we even know Mick doesn’t play and will snap. Over and over again with the same stuff it was borderline annoying. I thought Jericho would be explosive but the little that happened was just bland. The beginning had me thinking it was about to really go down but I guess not. Alright but could’ve been really better.
Mick Sinatra 2: Love, Lies, and Jericho is a very good interracial romantic thriller that earned a five star rating. This book is up to high standards like the rest of Mallory Monroe's books in the Sinatra and Gambrini series. It was exciting, thrilling and very sensual interracial romance. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read very good romantic books.
Completely amazing book exceeded my expectations. Love that Mick found true love, and that Mick and Charles relationship has improved. I don't like Betsy telling Rosalind to leave Mick. I like Mick being more involved in his children lives. Hope to read more about Mick.
I thought Reno was my Favorite but, Mick just took his place...I Love the angle of family reuniting. Roz's mother is a trip, you don't get your way, so you throw a tantrum.... PLEASE, BYE FELICIA!!!!!!!
This is my second time reading this book. It is better than the first one. So, even with the few errors, this is a five star read. Even after reading all of Ms. Monroe's book, this is still the best of the Mick Sinatra series. The original review (below) still express my complete delight with this book. On to the third book in the Mick Sinatra series.
I've read all of the President's series, the Mob Boss series, the Gabrini's and now the Sinatras and even the others listed in your books. Ms. Monroe, you are back on track. You truly began again with Mick. The book was well written with very few errors. You made Mick even more human than you did in your last book. His children, brother and the rest of his family finally understood what type of man he is - a good man. Roz always knew. Ride or die doesn't began to describe Roz. I can't believe how well you developed everyone in such a short book. I didn't want it to end. However, the ending was one of your best ever. You tied up most loose ends but left enough to have me holding my breath for the next Sinatra book. Can't wait for the Gabrinis to meet their new and improved Uncle Mick, especially Sal. I'm also holding my breath waiting for Roz, Trina and Gemma to meet. I'm sure you already have that one outlined. Is it possible that Roz may even meet Grace? Her daughter is close kin to the Sinatras - Trig's granddaughter. Roz will love Grace because she'll understand her. They are more alike than most readers (and even the author) will admit.
I never thought that I could love another character as I once did Tommy Gabrini. You proved me wrong with your fantastic writing about Mick and all of his family. You know your stuff. I can't wait for you to redeem yourself with Tommy. Loving your writing again. All of those who gave up on you because of your breakup of Tommy and Grace should give you another chance and buy this book. I did and I'm glad.
WOW what can I say I really enjoy this book from the beginning to the end it was really enjoyable I just love that Mick had took the chance to reconnect with his brother Charles. To me this reunion was much needed for mick because to me had got some closer when he went back to Jericho. But thanks to Joey for talking his father to go visit his uncle but speaking of Joey it seems like joey was trying to be like his father and to become his own man but with out his father help joey wouldn't survived the mess that he had gotten himself into. And as for Roz I feel sorry that she have put so much trust into besty because besty isn't trying to help her self and I have a feeling that she can not be trusted at all. And as for Charles I Can tell that he was not expecting mick to come visit him and most importantly to come reconnect with him because I think that he was in a shocked when he saw his brother in so long and as for Donald he reminds me of joey because they both gets into unnecessary situation that isn't needed. And as for Roz I feel sorry for her in a way because the most important person she can depend on his father and her brother because to me her mother is very judgmental but I am glad that joey and roz relationship is now on good terms.
Full of contradictions. Mick is trying to protect Roz get puts her in an extremely dangerous situation. You don't want her in your Mod business but allows her to sit in at a meeting then gets angry when your colleagues call her on it. What does big daddy mean he has good kids? His children are horrible. I mod boss apprentice who kills his brother. Children constantly involved in illegal drama. Why do all these black women have to be rough fighting and shooting guns? Can we just be beautiful woman and not have to fight all time? Grace was the feminine one and she was turned into a gangster too. Can black women just be pretty and loved and not have to take fight all the time? Let us just chill and be protected!
You really don’t want to bring fire to Mick the Tick and not expect him to extinguish it. This was another fabulous story by Ms. Monroe. I love the relationship between Roz and Mick. I was also happy to see Mick’s effort in making things right with his children. The family reunion at the wedding was lovely as well.
Like I’ve said before well done Ms. Monroe and I look forward to see the how Sal and Mick met in the next installment of this series. I’d definitely recommend this series as a must read
Wow! I love this book! I especially love the ending and the wedding! Rosalind's mother is hateful and I could not believe that she did what she did but anyway, Rosalind is a strong woman and makes up her own mind and has a very supportive Dad and brother! I love what her Dad said to Mick which made me think of "What's Love Got to Do with it" in the Tina Turner movie. Too funny! Now, onward to the next book!
This is the second time I’ve read this book and it was even better the second time. I applaud how the author brings out hard realities of abuse in families can shape a person life but help from families and friends can help the person that have been abused over come and deal with the abuse, to help the next generation. Families is a very important feature in all her books.
This is one of the best series I have ever read! Mick remains strong, and Roz still supports him! I love this couple and their extended family! Ms. Mallory, please keep these books coming!
I can’t believe Roz’s best friends from way back then could turn out to be traitors. They planned to kidnap her, ask for ransom and then kill her anyways. They forgot something or someone, Mick the Tick, her boyfriend. It backfired in a big way. Joey’s case also has a hydra’s head. Just another day in Mick’s world.
I am so engrossed in Mallory Monroe’s books. The books keep you interested from beginning to end! The strong men in these books prevailed in the end! AMEN!
Another excellent read in this series. Every time I think it can't get any better I read the next book and I am pleased to discover that these books are like a good wine.
I liked this book it had love and family and about what parents have to do to keep their children in the right way. That old saying don't do as I do do as I say.
Miss monroe put so much drama, so many twists, turns, and emotional moments between family, lovers, and friends. 212 pages flew by and once again I'm waiting on another release. (Not Tommy and Liz I hate she wrote off Grace) Mrs Monroe has the creative power to make an alpha thug seem loveable and just. She knows how to make a independent woman soft and submissive without laying down and becoming a doormat. Mrs Monroe had my head spinning when Roz was driving the getaway car with tension while I laughed as Betsy screamed her head off. I was in that limo I loved it. Great job,
Part two is definitely as good as part one. The action is still violent. The sex is still hot. Most importantly, the love between Mick and Roz is still there. It was cool seeing how all of he books in this series interrelated without re-telling everything.
I strongly suggest reading the Big Daddy Sinatra books so you can fully understand the dynamics of this story. Now I'm ready to read about Reno and Trina. They sound like they have one heck of a story.
Here the deal... this book was good.. very good actually. However with all the drama I still felt like something was missing. I am not sure what it was but it felt like a missing piece, maybe some serious female drama besides the little taste with the head of the house staff.
Nevertheless Mick gave what he gave in the first book... hella alpha male.
Roz is def a ride or die chick.. I think she is a little insane as well.
I was so scared that Mick would not mend the broken bond between his self and his children or fix what was broken between him and his brother. So far he's done okay with the you gets boy, I would love to read more on him fixing his relationship with the other three. So much action and just barely surviving the last shootout, had my heart pounding, waiting on the next installment with anticipation.
