Nineteen Weeks

Rate this book
Amy Silver had a conventional life as a suburban housewife married to a successful man. That all changed the day she discovered her husband's affair--and how she responded surprised her. When she caught him red-handed, she proposed a solution that would avoid the mess of a loud and public divorce. Instead, she told her husband and his mistress that they would belong to her for nineteen weeks, the same length of time the affair had been going on. For those nineteen weeks, both of them would help her to fulfill her wildest fantasies, no questions asked. The things all three of them learned during that time would change their lives forever.

I quite enjoyed this book. But I prefer being the submissive rather than the master. And would rather M/M/F rather than F/F/M, but that is just my preferences.

The beginning of the book had me in stitches, I loved it!

I was also quite surprised that it overlapped another book, there was two scenes, not even two pages long, but I thought it was done quite well. It overlapped with the Evocation (book 2) book.

This book was in the females point of view.

A terrific story; innovative sex and a story that sees the characters grow!

I picked up the sample a few years ago but didn’t purchase the book. Having “rediscovered” the sample and read the reviews, I purchased the book. I’m so glad that I did.

You’ve read the teaser so I won’t retell the story. The sex in this book is pretty innovative with 1D / 2s’s, plus two smaller characters that play along.

The more interesting aspect of this story is the character growth, particularly between the husband and wife and them individually. The husband (Greg) starts off very controlling where he is the sole arbiter of what’s “right” and “proper” in the relationship with his wife Amy. The affair discovered by Amy throws that out the window. However Greg continues to try and control; his favourite word is “But”. A fun system of white and black marbles eventually cures him of that bad habit (I’m sure in the end it will make him a better lawyer). One hopes in this process that he is also cured of lying to his wife, which he initially seems to take for granted.

Amy through the story grows in her “D” persona which carries over into every day life; and she rebalances her marital relationship.

The third key character is Amber. She falls easily into the “s” role, but is able to easily step-up to a “D” role when asked. She’s a senior partner in a legal firm, yet falls into an “s” role easily. We never really get into her head beyond her commitment to honour her word.

This book is a stand-alone with no cliffhanger at the end. However, there are some interesting threads which suggest an potential sequel which I’m not aware the author has penned.

Yes, this is a good story of kinky D/ss sex, but then again it’s so much more. Enjoy!

Setting: Boston, USA.
Amy Silver suspects that her husband, Greg, is having an affair so sets a trap for him. Pretending to leave home to attend a college reunion, Amy instead sets herself up in the house to keep watch, assuming that her husband will take the opportunity to entertain his mistress - which he does. Surprising the couple in the act, Amy takes film footage of them. As Greg's mistress Amber is a senior partner in his law firm, exposure of their affair could cause serious professional damage to the pair, let alone the financial impact on Greg should Amy sue for divorce. Discovering that their affair has been going on for 19 weeks, Amy offers the pair an 'alternative resolution' - if the couple become her sex slaves for the same period of time, doing everything she demands, she will destroy the evidence...
An intriguing prospect and certainly the erotic action was pretty hot at times - I just found that the book was just too long and the erotic episodes a bit repetitive, which eventually left me just wishing the book would end! There were also numerous 'typos' throughout the book, which were quite annoying but seem almost typical of this genre. Overall, great premise for a book but just too long and repetitive - 6.5/10.

Bit far fetched?

Wife catches her husband and his lover on their marital bed doing the horizontal shuffle ! She asks how long has it been going to which they reply " nineteen weeks". She decides to blackmail them both to become her sex slaves for the same time they were cheating on her, namely " nineteen weeks ". Then the book becomes a sexfest, getting her victims to accept her every perversion..and there's quite a few!! For me, went on a bit but, in short bursts, a very sexy read.

A young woman discovers her husband is having an affair, but instead of throwing him out on his ear, demands that the pair become her slaves for the same amount of time the affair has been going on. The writing style is fairly basic, but suits its purpose in this instance. For fans of the genre, Nineteen Weeks probably hits the spot, but I found it a bit daft in places and somewhat repetitive, dragging on a bit too long. I started skimming quite early on. I've given it a middle-of-the-road rating because although it fails as a novel, for its intended audience I think it will tick the boxes.
