I was hoping that this would detail how the inventions would theoretically work but it was more an encyclopedia about when the items were first introduced. Does not included pictures or diagrams, which was also disappointing. Very dry reading.

It's a good book IF you are a real serious Batman fan.
One problem: No Illustrations. Not one. No pictures.

Each gadget and device is noted...but at times some are out of sequence. A publisher's error maybe?

Still, with all these items and descriptions there is no one picture or drawing of anything in Batman's Arsenal.

I cannot recommend this except to the most dedicated bat-fans

An extremely thorough look into how Batman has evolved with the times (did you know it was originally called 'The Bat's Cave' not the 'Bat Cave'?) Great for any dark knight fan to take a look at.
