But nothing will ever be easy for our teacher and her rock god, including planning the perfect wedding. A jilted colleague from Danny’s past, a desperate ex, a potentially fatal tragedy, a remodel, a parent-teacher conference, illness, a drag queen, and many many more obstacles are piled in their path. Will Jesse and Danny ever find their happily ever after or will they forever be as those famous doomed lovers, kept apart by circumstances beyond their control?

I have been waiting and waiting for this book since it is the last of the series. That being said, I am sad to see it end. I am hoping perhaps we can have more someday with the other members of the band.

In this book, Jesse and Danny face so many obstacles, you start wondering if they broke a mirror somewhere. The one thing that stays true throughout this book and the series is their passion and love. A love like theirs is timeless and can withstand anything. Tears fell down my face many times while reading.

I have truly fell in love with this couple and all of the other characters.

For this review, I chose Teacher: The Final Act by RL Merrill. This is the final book in the Hollywood Rock n Romance Triology. Book #1 is called The Teacher. Book #2 is called The Teacher: Act 2. Both great books. I couldn't wait to read this book.

I received a copy of the ebook for a honest review of this book.

Here is a brief description from Goodreads:

I have a lot to write about this book. But not sure where to start. First, it's great to be back with Jesse, Danny, and Janey. It's sad that this is the last book of this series. I would love to see a book about Cosmo.

Jesse has many fears she needs to overcome before she can give into the idea of being Mrs Danny Black and that that entitles. She is used to taking care of herself and not relying on anyone for help. She needs to let Danny help her more.

As you can tell, Jesse is my favorite character in this book. She's a strong woman, who tells you like it is. Living with RA, she lives in pain. There's days where is struggles with moving. I am like Jesse. I live in chronic pain with good and bad days. My husband is like Danny. Always taking care of me. Another way I am like Jesse is when she was talking about her desk. She says "I walked through the library and decided my desk needed some unlcuttering, a task I often did when I was avoiding paperwork. " (88%). My desk goes through a cycle. Uncluttered to cluttered to uncluttered to cluttered. It's always due to paperwork.

Danny and Jesse had too many obstacles to get through. I believe more to come in their marriage. As I read the end (91%), I was remembering marrying Shawn almost 19 years ago. We have had many obstacles. I know there will be more to come, but they are not obstacles to me, but moments that made us stronger together than apart.

Not only I recommend this book, but the first 2 books too. I want to read Road Trip: A Rock Season from this author.

Teacher: The Final Act is book 3 of this fantastic series. These books must be read in order and can not be read as stand alones.

In this book we get more tears from Danny & Jesse (a lil too much for my taste but I guess they let their emotions run amuck. ) It didn't stop me from loving the book, just caused me to pause at times and roll my eyes. Yes it would be nice to have a man that isn't afraid to show his emotions like that but at times it just didn’t' seem necessary.

As for the storyline itself, it was fantastic as always. The story took up where the previous story left off. The best party, we finally get to see Danny and Jesse get their HEA. Even though all this happened in just a years time, it seems like it took them forever to finally get to that point.

We do get to witness Danny having a few of his "dick" moments but Jesse was able to talk him back from the edge of the cliff. Throughout there is laughter to be shared, deceit by some, redemption for others and a few violent moments that did not go into graphic detail. There was also a wee bit of romance and some hot, steamy, panty melting sexy goodness. We also learn a tidbit from Danny's past that I wish had gone into great detail but it was only skimmed over. Let's just say it involved Alex and I would loved' to have read that part for sure!! But anyway….back to this review…

Written as a single pov. I would have loved to have seen Danny's thoughts and feelings through out this book. I'm sure he had some pretty strong opinions and reactions that I would have loved to have witnessed. It would have also been cool to see some of the events of while he was away on tour and how he handled the women that were lurking in the back ground I am sure.

All in all, another fantastic read and a great finale to the story.

Would I recommend this book? Yes - but you must read 1 and 2 first.

Would I read more from this author? Yes

* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. *

This is the final book in the Hollywood Rock n Romance Trilogy and it goes out with a bang! The reader gets the chance to catch up with their favorite Rock Group Blackened and they also get to figure out the twisted romance that is Danny and Jesse. There are times throughout the story where the reader becomes so upset and enraged and the things that happen that they almost want to re-write it themselves, but have faith because the author does fix all of the kinks that happen.

This is an amazing read, however, the reader must first read books 1 and 2 to understand what is going on. Don't just jump in here, you have to go to the beginning! The author continues to draw the reader into the world of Danny Black and once you are in there is no getting out (not that you want to). The plot is quick, the characters are more than characters, they are friends and the stuff that happens to them feels like it impacts you as well.

The author is so unpredictable that the reader never knows what is coming and doesn't know exactly what the end result will be. They turn the pages of the book at a break neck pace and that is how the entire series goes. I love the way that I am immediately hooked and it takes nothing short of an earthquake to move me from my seat. Make sure that you set aside plenty of time to read this one because once you start you won't be able to stop!

Add this one and the first 2 to your TBR list and you won't be sorry! This is an amazing series that has fast tracked it's way to the top of my favorites list! Enjoy!!

This is an amazing end to a fantastic series. I have been waiting for this book since I finished Act 2, and it did not disappoint. Danny and Jesse have had so many ups and downs since we first met them, and this final act in the story follows suit! Happily ever afters don't come easily, even for rock stars. I love the relationship between Jesse and Danny, the premise of small time teacher and rock star, was great, it highlighted struggles that can be related to (even if you're not dating a rock star!).

I love the interaction and friendships between all the supporting characters, Jane and Nora added so much color to the family dynamic of the Black household, and we really got to know them over these three books. The guys of Blackened add entertainment to the story and I hope we see more of them in the future!

Patricia's story through me for a loop (I won't say more, I don't want to spoil it) but WOW. I hope we get to see where she goes from here. I'm just not ready to leave this group of characters. I was able to get lost in their world and become invested in their lives. I laughed and cried, got excited and scared, and even frustrated at times. All the marks of a well written story. This is definitely not a series to be missed.

R.L. Merrill hit the nail on the head with this final act. The emotions she evoked in me will definitely have me coming back for more of her work. Looking forward to where she takes her readers next!

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **

This is the final instalment of A Hollywood Rock n’ Romance but R.L. Merrill

Jesse and Danny have so many things going on at the moment. Jane is starting to settle in and things seem to be going good for her now. Jane has found that Jesse is her support person for so many different things that she doesn’t want to talk to Danny about.

How is Jesse going to get Jane to talk to Danny?
Will Jane be okay with everything that’s going on with her mum?

With Danny going back on tour its hard for Jesse to know where their relationship is going to go.

Will she be okay with Danny being gone for so long?
Can she live up to Danny’s expectations?

While Danny is on tour so many bad things happen to Jesse.

Will Jesse ultimately lose her life?
Will she ever get to see Danny again?

All of the answers are revealed in the thirst and final instalment of Jesse and Danny’s story.

WOW, just WOW, what a way to end this amazing trilogy.

Again R.L. Merrill had us from the very beginning and we simply couldn’t put it down. We absolutely fell in love with both Jesse’s and Danny’s story all over again. Full of emotion we were grabbed from the very first page until the very end.

This is must read and for everyone’s TBR list.

For us an absolute, definite 5 star read.

Teacher: The Final Act is an absolutely amazing end to this trilogy. Although I’m sad it is the final book, I couldn’t be happier how Danny and Jesse’s story was concluded. There were so many obstacles they had to deal with and overcome, I wasn’t sure they’d ever get to where they were at the end. When everything finally fell into place, I had a huge smile and tingling all over. Danny and Jesse have been through so much since they met, and R.L. Merrill brilliantly led us through all of their ups and downs, struggles and triumphs, heartache and happiness. The character development and descriptions in all three books is outstanding.
I’m excited by the Epilogue and hoping for more about Cosmo! And of course, Cosmo is one of Jesse’s best friends, so there would have to be an update on Danny and Jesse!! *wink-wink, nudge-nudge* Plus, the sneak peak of Road Trip was very intriguing and I will definitely keep my eye out for that one to one-click immediately when available.
This is definitely one of my top series ever, and I know it is one I will read again.

Jesse and Danny are back and they still are like a hurricane and tornado wrapped up in one package that you will love. This is the end of the road for them and we finally find out if they will get their HEA or will their romance fade away. This trilogy was terrific and I loved how we met them in the beginning of their relationship and followed it right through to the end. At times I really wanted to smack Danny, but he always got his stuff back together. His past comes back to try and take him down and tear him apart from Jesse, but the story is written well and holds your interest. I am sad to see this series come to an end, but look forward to what is next from R.L.

With the promise of more rock-n-romance from RL Merrill, Teacher: The Final Act, closes out the “Teacher Trilogy”. This one, quiet frankly left me with a bit of a book hangover. The series covers about a year on the life of Jesse Martin and Danny Black, from their introduction as Student and Teacher. The story is a fast paced read as Jesse and Danny facing the challenges that come with finally settling into their relationship. Teacher: The Final Act has a lot more action than the first two books, with every character in the series experiencing highs and lows in life. There are some distinct personality shifts that change up the dynamics at casa Black.

Following an amazingly fun prologue, guest starring Nikki Sixx (including props of feathers and body paint), the storyline continues where Teacher: Act Two left off; Jesse questioning her role in Danny’s life. But she has a reckoning of sorts and from that first chapter Jesse’s starting to sound a bit more like the Jesse we met in Teacher: Act One, confident and grounded. Danny’s lifestyle often leaves her overwhelmed but I’ll be damned if she doesn’t finally get it through her head and heart that these things just come with being with Danny. She also shines as she faces some scary moments and in this, her strength and faith in Danny and their relationship is revived.

Danny, while busier with the band and the demands that come from touring and an album release, has also become more impulsive and needy. He’s a bit older than Jesse and has always seemed more mature and confident to me. But he makes a few bad calls (okay, out and out bad decisions) that interestingly enough make him question himself and his worth with Jesse, if keeping her in his life is safe for her. These moments had me cringing and a bit angry with him, but Danny is utterly loveable and as soon as the words are out of his mouth, the ones where you want to throw your reader against a wall, you can feel him scrambling to try to take it back. His behavior around his daughter Jane, now living with him full time, shows Danny loosening up showing an amazingly playful side.

By the end of the story, we’ve been with Jesse and Danny ( and Jane, Nora, Patricia, and Cosmo) for close to a year. The author did a really amazing job plotting the entire story out, getting a flow going and connecting all the dots. Once again, RL Merrill ‘s writing style makes for an easy read; it’s descriptive and the dialogue is clear and thoughtful. Her characters are ones you really want to continue to get to know. She leads them down a few paths that might appear to be going one way…when things get sometimes hilariously twisted and sometimes frightening.

It’s rare that the final book in a series is my favorite, but Teacher: The Final Act is just that~My Favorite

5 #IFLY stars on series recommendation.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Wow oh wow! More Danny Black! Was I ever excited to get my hands on this copy! Danny is one of the sweetest, most exciting, jealous, loving and yes a little messed up book boyfriends I've ever encountered out there! It just makes me love him that much more. I'm so sad to see this series come to an end though.

When we last left Danny and Jesse it had been at the end of the wedding at book two and Jesse was overwhelmed with feelings of not belonging in Danny's life. We can all thank Danny's ex-wife for that! When Danny once again helps Jesse move past this and life starts getting back on track, you know that life won't stay on track for long for this duo!

One night when Jesse arrived home, Stacey (an old member of the band crew) was waiting for her and attacked her. She was able to get away but not without some scars and bruising. This prompts her to make sure she and Jane take self-defense classes. Good thing Danny wasn't home that night!

One of the many highlights of this book is the scene in the photography studio with Nikki Sixx. It's a very sexy setting. Poor Danny though and all that paint! The ending is so sweet and sets most of the tone for the rest of the book.

Most of the rest of the review that I want to write would give away spoilers so let me say this … there is talk of babies, weddings, sadness, pain, and pleasure. Cosmo gets disappointed and he just might find happiness. The guys in the band shower Jesse with more love than she ever thought possible. She learns what its like to be in a family that isn't all about blood. I hope there is finally peace in Danny and Jesse's world. Goodness knows Jesse deserves it!

I don't even know where to start. I loved this book so much, the whole series is so great! This is the final book in the story of Jesse and Danny, and I hated to see it end. I will admit I cried a little when it was over, for several reasons. I don't want to say what they are because I don't want to give anything away. This is a series that will stick with me, one of those books/series that I won't forget. I love so many things about it, the atmosphere, the music, the city, and especially the romance, and the memories it brings back for me, of some of my Rock and Roll days. Again, I hate to see it end, but look forward to what is next from Ms. Merrill.

Will Always love Danny!! This book starts out perfect!! It starts out with a scene of a photo shoot, which is perfect because...well you will see when YOU BUY THIS BOOK!!! Danny and Jesse are still determined to reach their happily ever after!! This time they are trying to get married, and complications with Danny's ex (Brooke) and Janey getting sick, and ultimately Jesse and Patricia getting arrested put a damper on the wedding!! But Danny has a plan and you will have to buy this book to find out exactly what it is!!! IT IS PERFECT!!

Loved this Trilogy

This is the first book I have read of R.L Lewis. I loved Jessa's and Danny's story. They overcame so many obstacles in their relationship. I don't like to reveal to much of the story and be a spoiler. This is a must read. I am hoping to see a story on Cosmo and Patricia next.
