The Missing Pieces

Rate this book
Adam has always trusted records more than memory.

A work ticket he does not remember answering. A calendar entry he does not remember creating. Conversations other people remember differently. Small gaps begin appearing in an otherwise ordinary life, and Adam decides to investigate without assuming what the missing pieces mean.

He starts keeping careful records, separating what is documented from what he remembers, what others report, and what he can only infer.

But the more he investigates, the harder it becomes to ignore a disturbing possibility: another perspective seems to exist within the same life—someone with different memories, different instincts, and a different way of handling pressure.

Instead of forcing an explanation, Adam begins trying to understand what is actually happening. The search takes him into questions of identity, memory, trust, and responsibility, where certainty becomes harder to find than the truth itself.

The Missing Pieces is a psychological mystery about a fragmented sense of self and the difficult process of learning to live with what cannot be remembered, explained, or controlled.

About Ash

Welcome to Ash Writes!

I’m a writer and creative freelancer with experience in both fiction and nonfiction writing. My interests cover a wide range of subjects and genres, and I enjoy exploring different ideas, perspectives, and forms of storytelling.

In fiction, I’m particularly drawn to human psychology, crime, thrillers, suspense, relationships, family dynamics, political themes, drama, and the complexities of human nature. I enjoy stories that explore people’s motives, difficult choices, hidden truths, emotional conflicts, and the forces that shape their lives. At the same time, I’m open to writing across different genres and styles. My nonfiction interests are equally broad, covering different subjects and types of writing.

My creative work extends beyond writing. I have experience in freelancing, graphic design, image editing, video editing, and other writing and editing projects. Before publishing my own books on digital platforms such as Kobo and Goodreads, I had already been involved in writing-related work, including contributing material to magazines, digests, and newspapers, as well as helping other writers with their creative projects.

Through freelance work, I’ve helped with writing, editing, story development, and other creative tasks, including video and graphics-related projects. These experiences have allowed me to work with different ideas, formats, and creative approaches.

I’m now continuing that journey by publishing my own work and sharing my stories with a wider audience. Whether fiction or nonfiction, my goal is to explore ideas, understand people, and create work that gives readers something meaningful to think about.

Thank you for visiting my page and being part of my creative journey.
