The first three books in the bestselling Ujal series at one low price!
Vados – A human woman, a tail-sporting alien, and a deadly hurricane… of course they’re going to hook up! Or rather, they did hook up. But that was then. This is now.
Tave – Rina Zeret is not prepared to settle down. At least, not with a genetically selected mate. She wants true love and a happily ever after. Unfortunately, her mother has other ideas and submits Rina’s biological material—the woman’s a hairbrush thief!—to the Population Ministry to see if they can find a genetic match for her. Suddenly Rina is presented with Tave fa V’yl, Crown Prince of Ujal, High Warrior of the Ruling Caste and Earth’s greatest ally. Her mother is going to be so happy.
Rhal – Sometimes a lie is the only way to get to the truth. Rhal fa Adar—Ujal assassin—is a liar and Cara is more than ready to beat the truth out of him.To Cara Marte, the Ujal are everyday average people—er, aliens—who occasionally grow fins and scales. They’re friends and colleagues, and mates? Cara knows she wants Rhal fa Adar—with his thick muscles, midnight black scales, and dark eyes. He always keeps her at arm’s length, sharing pleasure and nothing more. He wants her but refuses to mate her. When she discovers the reasons he told her are lies, she takes her battered heart to the Intergalactic Mating Agency. Her match is out there, and the agency promises to find him. But what if all she can imagine is a future with Rhal?
This book contains “Vados”, “Tave”, and “Rhal.” If you own these three titles, do not purchase this book. It DOES NOT have any new content.
Part of the UJAL series: Vados Tave Rhal The Ujal Volume One (Vados, Tave, Rhal) Erun
I seem to have been reading a lot of short sexy sci fi recently and think that it was this author that started the theme. I read the story of Vados and found myself intruiged by this strange mixture of aliens and what I can only describe as mermen. The idea that these aliens ( the Ujal) are now here on earth and able to transform was a strange one but it's their fierce protective natures that warmed this readers heart and this admittedly short first story introduces this world created by the author but it's the surprise Maris faces at the end that really caught my interest. The second story for some reason I'd missed when first released so I was quite looking forward to sinking into it. Tave is possibly the strongest and fiercest amongst the Ujal but as crown prince then he certainly has a lot to live up to. Unfortunately his sire has already informed him that when he takes a Mate it will be for political reasons. Now step forward two ( yes two!) mothers desperate for grandchildren and life is about to get very complicated indeed! Both Tave and the very human Rina have unknowingly had their genetic material tested and they are a match! ! Stubborn and very outspoken Rina is about to well and truly test Taves discipline but he is more than up to the challenge! Rhal is a character previously introduced but he was very much an unknown quality. This story had me not quite liking the heroine Cara initially but I cannot fault her for standing up to Rhal. Rhal has had a difficult past and it rears it's ugly head in this story but as these two lovers are tested we get so much more insight into just how the Ujal function and I can't wait to find out where this story is going. What can I say? I really wish these stories were a tiny bit longer particularly the first story featuring Vados. However these stories are romantic and I'm truly enjoying the world building. Best of all for this reader though is the humour as these human females have their guys tied up in knots at times. The Ujal might try to understand pop culture and slang but their frequent misunderstandings just raise a smile. I guess the bottom line is if you enjoy a sexy story with a little tension and heros who truly can be heroic then this series is for you. Suspend all belief and just enjoy the ride I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review Four and a half from me
"Alien Love and Accident mating's" This series is stunning!. The story lines are captivating and entertaining. The characters are fascinating. Book one- We meet Vados a super sexy Ujal and Dr.Maris the human woman falls in love with. Only lots of humans do not want the Ujal on Earth. They riot against humans mixing with the Ujal. Maris had been seen with Vados now she is in danger. When Vados and Maris were together a hurricane was hitting. Vados had to do rounds and he asked Maris to wait for him. Only it took longer then he thought. So Dr. Maris went to help at the Ujal station. When Vados came back she was gone he thought she had ran from him. Now Vados has been assigned to protect Maris will this give them a second chance. Book two- This one we meet Rina and Tave. Rina a spunky young woman whose Mother submitted Rina's DNA to mated. The mate chosen for her was Prince Tave of the Ujal!. When they first meet they can hardly keep their hands off each other lol. Wow these are some quirky, funny and steamy hot stories!. Book three- Is very suspenseful. These one we meet Rhal and Cara. Rhal is a high guard to prince Tave of Ugal. Rhal is a stormy Ujal who has had a rough past. Cara works for the UST-Ugal station Tae she is also best friends with Rina the Principseea Prince Tave's mate. Rhal and Cara's relationship starts off as stormy as Rhal. Rhal knows Cara is his true mate only he refuses to mate with her. Until an accident happens and he has no chose. This book is full of twists and I believe the most touching of all!. This is truly a amazing five-star series!.
I was so excited when I heard about these books. I'm a huge fan of Celia Kyle's shifter books and I do also love a good alien romance. So, to find out that Celia Kyle also writes sci-fi as Erin Tate? Awesome. A quick visit to Amazon and I bought all Erin Tate books too.
I have to say that the Ujal are not really very alien. Ok, so they originally came from somewhere in space but these books are set on earth and the Ujal have much in common with shifters... basically they are merman shifters. There's no real sci-fi in here. That's not a criticism, merely an observation. These books wouldn't have been out of place if they were published under the name Celia Kyle.
The style of writing is similar to Celia Kyle but perhaps toned down and with a little less humour. I did notice that as the books progressed, the writing became more Celia-like and the humour crept back in. The first book, Vados, was perhaps the weakest of these three but it was still a good read and the next two books were awesome.
Overall, the books were well-written and highly enjoyable. More please!
I five it a rating of 4 1/2 stars. The first story was good but I felt the ending was a bit abrupt. The second story was better. It flowed nicely from beginning to end. The Best Story out of all of them was the third story. It's worth the read

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Contains Vados, Tave, and Rhal books 1-3 of series
Vados- Sweet Vados. He was so cute! Really hot and funny without trying. It was adorable! Maris and Vados met during a hurricane previously. She was out caught in it and he found her but they were drawn together now they didn’t have “sex” but did a make out session. Both thinking they abandoned the other. She thought he left her because he said he’d be back in 5 minutes and she waited an hour so she figured he was gone. She was heartbroken because there was a connection. He thought she just left him because of what or who he was. Both wrong. They both had duties and his just took longer but she couldn’t wait so she can help others who were hurt. Once he finds her again later being told by Prince Tave to guard her because it did get out that a human female and a Ujal were seen together. They just don’t know it was Maris and Vados. After everything is explained and he reveals they are mates. Just a sweet and hot mating. She takes on the characteristics of the Ujal…scales cool. Of course she becomes pregnant with their first hatchling and once she goes to get examined…he doesn’t understand that doctors have to “touch” her. So cute he gets all possessive. Good start to this series. I enjoyed it! Although we know a little about the Ujal I would have liked a little more background which I am sure we'll get to know more as the series goes.
Tave- Awww Tave was sweet. He made an appearance in Vados and he seemed kinda stern but he IS a prince so maybe he had to be that way but he was sympathetic to Vados’ position. Dude…Vados was annoying a little in this one. He was a pain in the butt once or twice lol. Back to Tave…oh he was sexy mexy! I LOVED Rina! She was sweet also and a spitfire a bit. LOL…their mothers cracked me up! So protective! Rina’s mom entered her into the mating agency without her knowledge and boom her mate was found and its none other than Prince Tave! His mother entered him as well…stole a scale lol. He was really shocked at first but once he saw her it connected…shes his true mate for sure. He is so honorable and sweet. Good to her. Respectable I mean damn…I want him myself! Perfect guy right? Yumminess too. They take things slow because she is human after all and not comfortable with things moving so fast so they date. After getting photographed in a compromising position…they kinda have to speed things up cause he is the prince and well they had better mate or things could go south fast. It was a sweet story and loved it!
Rahl- Boy…this one was one heck of a roller coaster! Rhal…idiot of the highest order! Man…poor Cara…I even cried for her. After what he did to her…so cruel and cold. I KNOW he thought what he was doing was right and protecting her but damn…he hurt her pretty bad. I really think he could have done it differently instead of pretty much breaking her. Ouch. Then after fooling around a little he accidentally mates her by getting some of his "stuff" in her blood stream and that seals them both as mates. Although THIS happens after telling her he didn’t want her but because he's an idiot liar and she can't help but love to hate they sorta let things get out of hand. She’s gonna die though if its not completed but she refuses to do it the “natural” way and I sooo don’t blame her. He’s an ass and doesn’t deserve her on the base principal of rejecting her and lying to her and basically making her feel like she was nothing. She was used and crapped all over pretty much. So there were times I wanted to kick his butt. Rhal and Cara’s road wasn’t an easy one. Their mating is constantly tested. I kinda felt bad for them. They’ve both done terrible things to each other. She betrayed his trust and told of his past in order to save his life. He hurt her by dismissing and lying to her. I was happy they were able to forgive each other eventually and move on. When she transforms she’s got a tail…how cool is that? Ok…so the King is NOT a nice guy. He was horrible in how he treated Rhal and raised him to be an assassin and a crap ton of other stuff. He was sexually molested by his dam by mating…pretty much a step-mother. His father was no better just different circumstances. Man…Cara took charged and kicked butt! At this point we've learned quite a bit about the Ujal. Learned in this book that Tave's mother the Queen actually holds the title of ruler. She is da boss! Loathes her husband the King and puts him as well as Rhal's parents in his place. Lets just say they are no longer in the palace. I can’t wait for more stories. Lots of likable characters.
Now…I know we all know who Erin Tate is by now. However, I wouldnt have known it had she kinda spilled the beans in her newsletter. LOL. The writing was a little familiar but it was enough of a difference that I couldnt tell yet. This is different from her other work and NOT in a bad way at all. Its nice how it differs from her Paranormal work. Enjoyed this trilogy and getting ready to read Erun.
I would gave 5 stars to The Ujal Volume One (Books 1 - 3: The Ujal: Vados, Book 1; The Ujal: Tave, Book 2; The Ujal: Rhal, Book 3) by Erin Tate a.k.a. Celia Kyle. The science fiction alien romance story is about humans and aliens for readers 18+ age group due to sexual content. The Ujal have come from space to live on earth in our oceans, and save it.
The Ujal: Vados, Book 1 This wonderful story is about a couple, human female and Ujal male (alien amphibious), whom despite all odds happens to be mates. The Ujal are an attractive race. Dr. Maris Xayer and Vados fa Kotan got real close during a hurricane. Stuff happens, and it takes off at a rocky start. Vados said he be back in five minutes but took longer. She waited as long as she could. Later, things hit the fan for her, and bad people want to hurt her. She needs saving. She needs Vados. When the time comes Vados doesn't hesitate to grab what he wants. Yeah, alpha male! You just got to read the story.
The Ujal: Tave, Book 2 A great story about a Rina Zeret (human female) and Tave fa V’yl (Crown Prince of Ujal). Their mom's were desperate for grandbabies and sent their DNA samples to be matched at the Intergalactic Mating Agency. This whirlwind was a blast to read.
The Ujal: Rhal, Book 3 This story was awesome! Don't miss out! Rhal, alien alpha male, can be a dark, lying, passionate, and moody individual. He loves Cara with passion, and thought he could be happy for a while. The tension can be felt between him and Cara. She is a strong woman that loves him, and among the few who will standup against him. The two currently have a difficult time in their relationship. At the moment, their love is put to a test by himself, and other factors. He will have to overcome his past from Ujal, and set aside his pride. Rhal's past from Ujal made him who he is today. A human-Ujal mating with special characteristics are only seen in Cara.
The Ujal Volume One, I got caught up in the interesting, original storyline, drama, action and was not disappointed about the way it flowed. The scenes unfolded at a good pace throughout the story, and was realistic. The author, Erin Tate a.k.a. Celia Kyle made all the characters come alive in her vivid storytelling. Alien alpha males and sassy women were a great personality combinations. The Ujal males place their mates wellfare first. I was swept away in reading the story. I wanted to see how they progressed in their relationships, what conflicts arose, and how they would fix things. Their journeys were difficult but worth it.
I was not bored or disappointed while reading it. The stories were well-written. She never left me hanging while I read it. The setting was realistic, and believable. I could imagine myself at Ujal Station Tau (UST) or Cara's Ujal transformation. I am ecstatic about completing The Ujal Volume One and was thrilled to finally complete it. I read the complete series, and will be happy re-read it again. You'll have to read the complete series to really enjoy it.
All three books have HEA in The Ujal Volume One. I hope you will enjoy reading this novel. Erin Tate a.k.a. Celia Kyle it is next on my reading list. I look forward to reading more of this series. I just can't wait for the next book to come out, The Ujal: Erun, Book 4. I received this story in exchange for a honest review.
Title: The Ujal Volume One Series: The Ujal Designation: Books One through Three, Three Standalone Novellas, No Cliffhangers Author: Erin Tate My Rating: FIVE DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING STARS ***** Are you ready for a great sci-fi read??? Well, come and get it because now you can get three delightfully entertaining standalone stories in one great release! Erin Tate has combined the first three of her mega-popular Ujal series into one complete compilation and it is hot, hot, hot! I first became a fan of Tate's work when she released the first book of the series, Vados. I instantly became addicted and a diehard fan. I then read Tave and Rhal as they were originally released in individual installments and loved every single page! I simply couldn't get enough! So, I felt that I should pass along the love and tell you just how great they really are! But let's talk about the books. The stories are original, inventive, well developed, well executed, exciting, romantic, seductive with quite bit a of humor thrown in for good measure. The dialogue is smart, snappy, funny, exceptionally well written and flows effortlessly. The characters, my favorite part, are captivating, fascinating, engaging, intriguing, sexy as sin and at times, laugh out loud funny. They come to life and jump off the pages while capturing your imagination and your heart. Tate expertly combines these elements into a science fiction masterpiece filled with danger, adventure, suspense, humor and romance. After reading Erin's stories, I go to bed and dream of handsome, sexy aliens, and in this case, sexy amphibious aliens who have come to earth and now live in our ocean. They can shift from beautiful scales and tail-fins to hunky muscles, skin and legs. Oh my! Sigh......If only they were real! Each book features a different alien and his mate and what challenges they must overcome in order to be together. And what a wildly hilarious ride it is! So, buckle up for a merry adventure with the Ujal and their mates! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Vados Finding the family he always dreamed of What a fantastic first book in a series. I especially enjoyed the doctor and his sense of humor. These Ujal are the perfect possessive alpha males, I’m sure their lady loves probably don’t always agree, but as an avid reader I want to read more. More HEAs, more love, more joy and more humor. I’m looking forward to the next book. 4 stars
Tave Mothers know best When these two ole gals get involved there is sure to be a barrel of love and laughs. The author took us on an enjoyable journey full of invasive journalists, a cocky prince who actually ends up being kind and considerate, a reluctant mate match, and interfering mothers desperate for grand babies. I loved it! This book is full of everything I have come to expect from the author, including the HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. 4 stars
Rhal A love that transcends all pain I think my favorite books are the ones about the tortured souls, the ones who remain gentle at their core, who finally find their true mates and the HEA they truly deserve. The author certainly delivered that, and more, with this book. She graced Rhal with such a strong mate in Cara, who was willing to lose him so he might finally be free and get the justice so long denied him. I’m not sure how the author can create anything better than this, but I look forward to reading it. 5 stars
This book introduces us to three different "aliens". It is unique and very different (in a good way) from any other sci-fi romance I have read. I have never read any work by Author Celia Kyle and I did not receive it or read it in exchange for a review.
The characters are interesting and I really hope to know them and their loves better in future books. The Ujal is different and the mating ideas are different. There is quite a bit of erotica in each story which is part of the reason for a 4 star rating. I believe the stories would be better with less allowing my imagination to fill in the rest. There is not enough information about Ujal society, how they came to Earth, beliefs and many other little bits of information. That is the other reason for a 4 star rating.
I am happy to recommend this book for adults that enjoy sci-fi romance. The writing is easy to read and edited pretty well. The stories are interesting and will keep you turning pages to find out what happens next. There is mystery, action, intrigue, suspense and romance that all balance out to good reading. I look forward to more of the story in the next book which I will begin reading in about 5 minutes.
I hope this review is enough to make you curious as I know you will enjoy the stories. Happy reading, see you on the otherside.
1. Vados The whole hot story in one book. They meet in a storm but lost each other with in a few hours but when danger comes for her, he is there for her. And This time he is not losing what's his again! I can honestly say I loved it
2. Tave So you wake up one morning thinking everything is normal and this day will be like any other timed scheduled day. You get up, shower, start washing your hair then your worse nightmare comes true. You are now being carried off by 2 alien men. Soap is running in your eye because you didn't get to rinse off. Your mom telling you she signed you up to married because she wants grandkids. And now you're being taken to meet your mate as is. Wet and soupy ! Yeah lol too funny! I loved their story and it gets better!
3. Rhal This is wonderful. It's about Cara, a human woman who falls head over heels in love with a Ujal (Rhal). She is having a really bad time. He broke up with her and broke her heart. Then the planet dating service said she is not matchable! Can things get any worse? I love the way Erin tate writes she can pull you into a story fast and keep you there! The story, the characters it's amazing book given for an honest review and I honestly loved it
There are three novellas in this bundle. The space aliens are aquatic, able to shift to almost human in appearance on land, but with scales and merman-like tails in the sea. They have an underwater city in the Gulf of Mexico.
I'm a fan of Celia Kyle/ Erin Tate, but I only felt like book 3, 'Rhal' approached her good (not best) writing. Likely this is because these are novellas and the brevity doesn't allow for a lot of character development. Also, all of the sex scenes take space away from a story and I usually read the first one, then skim through subsequent ones because I have read so many erotica novels that it's mostly a bore at this point....
I have to say, when I started to read this series I wasn't sure I would like it. I have not been big on sci/fi books but I loved these. They are just like all the stories I love to read, hot alpha male, strong female and some hot romance. Just goes to prove that good books are good books no matter the genre.i can't wait to read more of these stories.
Short stories easy to read. First time I read about this type of world( alien). The author has a good imagination but I felt that I was missing part of the story. Thing that she mentioned that could have been incorporated to make a longer and more descriptive and complex book. I like the series. It's fresh
Absolutely loved these books. So easy to read. Kept my interest. Guys are guys, even if they are space mermen. Women are soft and loving, but when needed will fight for their merman and his love.
I got this book free and I am giving my voluntary and honest review. I loved these books enough that I purchased the 4th book in the series.
These are the kinds of love stories that keep me turning the pages. I love SciFi romance, especially when they are so well written. These books are exciting and fun to read. I love the characters, the quippy dialogue, and the plots. If you are looking for an excellent SciFi romance read, you can do no better than this complication.
I was introduced to the Preor first so I was glad to find the collection of the first 4 books of the Ujal. It is the initial series of hot, possessive alien males to make Earth their second home. W meet with Prince Tave and three of his High Guards as the meet and fall for their destined mates. Very entertaining and excellent reads.
Vados was such a great introduction to the Ujal. Loved seeing how they feel about and treat their mates. Tave's story was funny. Loved the 2 interfering Mom's. Rhal was so full of angst. I needed tissues. Can't wait to read Erun.
I found the start of the series (Books 1-3) to be engaging and a fairly quick read. I found out about this series by reading another series by the same author and Celia Kyle (Dragons of Preor). I'll be reading the next in the series, Erun. Can't wait.
I couldn't stop reading this I read it in less than a day which is quite quick for me the last time I did that was when I read the first four Harry Potter books lol.
You cannot go wrong with a box set for value for money and easy access to your favourite reads. All these books have been reviewed individually. 1 - VADOS What a great first book in a new series. Just love the humour and witty repartee between Vados and Maris and the silliness of the Ujal learning our ways. Celia Kyles writing style is one of the most enjoyable I read. I am usually giggling out loud reading her books. After meeting during a hurricane, a misunderstanding causes Maris and Vados to miss each other until they meet up again. Maris is a marine biologist and trained nurse coming to work for the Ujal and Vados is assigned to protect her. Vados and Maris are the first mating pair between the species which causes a few problems with alien haters or purists, these types of people always find a cause to vent their hatred. Cannot wait for more of these interesting water loving aliens. 2 - TAVE Interfering mothers make the match. What a hoot. This is not a long story. This book started off so funny with Rina and her shower troubles. I kept snickering to myself, if only she had read her mail. Then this became an okay book, not the best, not the worst. We find out a little more about the Ujal, we also see humans being human and sometimes behaving not so nice. Rina and Tave were lovely together but this story just needed a bit more to make it better. The goings on between the two mothers was so funny. I read this as a complete book. 3 - RHAL This is not a long story but Oh my goodness, the best story yet so far. I was not on board with how Rhal treated Cara and I backed her totally in going to the IMA. He didn’t deserve her at all. But then the truth starts to come out and I cried when we read what Rhal had been through. I loved this story and the ending was great but I would have loved more punishment.
Love above and below the waves and the human women involved. Both the Prince and his guard are smitten with their fated mates and Rhal is a dark selfish besotted let the poor human woman think there was a future. Cara is gutted by Rhal's bizarre treatment and luckily has her BFF to intervene.
This was an enjoyable and easy read, though not without its inconsistencies, keeping me from giving it that full five stars, settling around 3.5.
Really, the big problem I had reading along was the way information was presented, making it seem like things from previous books had either been forgotten or incorrect. We start off with the mating of Vados and Maris. It was a simple story, really relating down to missed cues that make the two a match. There is some exploration of the inter species relations. But one big thing pointed out is that in mating the two become a target, especially Maris, because such mating is seen by many as disgusting despite it apparently being quite rare.
Well, then we move on to the next book with Tave and Rina. These two are matched by the Intergalactic Mating Agency. Wait, doesn't Earth have a big prejudice against people of the two species getting together? And yet there is this whole agency devoted to the possibility of that? Not to mention that Vados had to literally research if he and Maris could mate or not, yet a whole Agency exists.....felt very odd and contradictory. And then there is more of a PR concern than other threats to Tave and Rina, unlike the occurrence in the first book. Inconsistent.
Moving on to the last book we now have Rhal and Cara. These two get a longer story with more time to investigate their issues and how they feel about one another beyond just mating. There is next to no concern about how humans feel. No, what we have know is the Ujal disliking Cara, This is not something that has popped up even a little in the previous books, with the Ujal always made to be seen as so damned perfect. Now we find out they are far from perfect. While this was inconsistent, it actually really freaking helped the story. I couldn't abide by an entire population being so angelically perfect that they never to wrong, and the way they screwed up in this third book was monumental.
So, when you let those three books flow together, that's the problem, they don't exactly perfectly flow. But they do move together nicely enough and the individual romances are very sweet. As an overall I can overlook the rest as such, but I did find myself a bit frustrated and hope that as this series and it's shoot off progress that such issues will be smoothed out.
