The war between angels and demons has been waged since the beginning of time and the line between good and evil has always been clear. But now Irin is no longer sure.Cast out from Heaven, banished to Earth to rid the world of demons, she finds that line blurred. Denied the chance to return home, she is on a path that threatens to turn her into the very thing that she hunts. Betrayed by those closest to her, she finds herself broken and chained in the depths of hell, having to trust those she has been taught to hate. Those she spent her life killing. What happens when the lines between good and evil become crossed? Who will save her when she can’t save herself?
Welcome to the world of Angels and Demons; the sexy one. Stephanie Yarns takes the rules of good versus evil and throws them in the trash. She then proceeds to write her own rules with delicious consequences. I mean, a story about kick arse angels and sexy demons crossing the lines, what’s not to like? You won’t be able to help but fall in love with Irin, Elathan and Sitri as they each fight against their nature, and their own kind, to embrace an existence, a way of life they couldn’t have imagined existed. Each of them had grown tired of the roles they were cast in, until a chance encounter ignites in them a passion and new lease on life. Now they aren’t prepared to play by anybody’s rules, but their own. While Stephanie has promoted this book as a work of erotica, there is a fantastic story immersed amongst it. Yes, there are some explicit sex scenes and the use of strong language, so if you are opposed to that sort of thing, then I am disappointed that you will miss out on one hell-uva (pun intended) story. Whether it’s angels, or demons, or even us lowly humans, some truths remain the same. With age, comes wisdom. The lines between good and evil, right and wrong, are not always clear. You can’t help who you fall in love with. And my personal favourite, sometimes rules are made to be broken. I can’t wait to read the next instalment in this page turning series.
I encourage you to buy this book! You may think the fact that my name is mentioned in the Dedication (aww thanks for that Steph) makes my review biased, but you would be wrong. In fact, it was a glance at the first draft I got of Stephanie’s amazing story, that prompted me to want to work with her to get this story out there so others could enjoy it too. I fell in love with Irin, Elathan and Sitri and their fight to overcome stereotypes and rules to go after what makes them happy. I could sympathise with Irin’s plight and hurt of being betrayed by those she trusted. And the sex scenes don’t go beyond what I am capable of dealing with (ie this book is not an extreme version of erotica) In their most secret of fantasies, I doubt there’s a woman who’d object to having two super sexy males in her life and in her bed. To protect her from those that want to bring her down, to destroy her, but to also save her from doing the exact same thing to herself. I am fortunate to say I have had a sneak peak of what comes next and I can assure you, each story will be worth your time and money.
