The three months that past after that night were hard on all of us. I had secrets, and it was taking everything I had to keep them locked away. I made a promise to the man I loved. It was a promise I knew I needed to keep. How could I do it? Could I really walk away from him? What would happen when if he found out who I really was? Would I end up living a life like my mother? These were my first books by this author. Her writing is very good, the books could use some editing but I loved the series!!! I got a great deal on all three for .99 cents.
Part 1
Brooke Smith is burying her mother at the age of 21, with debts and leaving college behind to take care of her, she is left a box in the attic to be opened after her mother pass's. In the box she is given a letter and pictures revealing that her father wasn't dead after all. He never knew her mother was pregnant when she left town 22 years ago. Needing a job and hoping to go back to college, she puts in an application for a secretary in her fathers company hoping to get to know him. Brooke is a very strong woman and was taught to take care of herself. There she meets Kevin Reynolds, her new boss. Even through he is off limits they can’t help themselves when they find themselves at a Vegas work convention within a few days of meeting each other. While there she finds out Kevin has a closer relationship to her father than she ever imagined.
Part 2
Brooke and Kevin’s relationship continues to grow despite his control issues and her standing up for herself and not taking his crap. They drive each other crazy. Brooke signs up for college classes at night and life is going good. Kevin decides he wants to see where their relationship can go and wants to tell Luke about them, go public. While at Brooke’s house one weekend he happens to find the box her mother left her and the articles about Luke and the business. He fly’s off the handle and accuses her of deceiving them all and wanting money. He was burned in the past and has trust issues. He never gives her a chance to explain even after she tells him she loves him. He leaves her house on his motorcycle in the pouring rain saying they are over.
Part 3
Brooke receives a phone call telling her that Kevin has been in an accident on his motorcycle after leaving her house and was life flighted and in surgery. Brooke goes to him and helps his parents with taking care of him at the hospital and his little sister all while continuing to work, and go to school. During this time Luke comes to pick up Abigail at her house and tells her that he knew and dated her mother. Brooke doesn’t tell him he is her father. Once Kevin is released from the hospital Brooke moves in with him to help take care of him and continue to work with him while he is recovering. Knowing their relationship is over she makes plans to leave the company once his is recovered and puts her house up for sale. Once the 3 months are over, Brooke leaves letters for both Kevin and Luke explaining everything and leaves wanting a fresh start. Kevin and Luke find her and and Kevin finally tells her he loves her! Very good conclusion to the series!!

I loved this series, I didn't read it as a full boxset as I was given parts 2,3 and 4 as advance copies from Sharon Cummin.
Part 1 was the 1st book I read from Sharon and she has me hooked on her books.
This series had me in tears and fits of laughter.
We meet Brooke is this series. Her life has just been blown up, after losing her mother to ill health she takes her time in processing what her mother told her about a box in the house that she needed to open. Upon opening the box Brooke is given even more life changing news this news about her father Luke and who he really is and why her mother keep her from him.
On the chance to get to know her Father, Brooke finds that his company is hiring new staff and she gets an interview, she is told she will be an assistant to a member of the team, whilst she is there is meets handsome alpha male Kevin Unknown to Brooke that Kevin is in fact going to be her new boss.
Attracted to one and other whilst at a work conference things get heating and then even up in bed together how ever they are both holding secrets. Hers being that the CEO is in fact her long lost Father and while away she uncover's that Luke is also Kevin's step father.
however even after trying to stop things with Kevin Brooke wants to tell him the truth, but wife past hurt of a women only ever wanting his money when he comes across the box of things of luke in her home he jumps to the wrong conclusion and after having a fight he drives off and is then in a Road Accident , and so before leaving the area for good Brooke moves in with Kevin to help him back to health.
Once he is back to full health she leaves the life she knew and with it a letter for both Luke and Kevin. The men then make a rush to bring her back as they both love her and want her in their lives.
This part of the story covers parts 1-3.
Part 4 had me confused at first as we meet Tyler and Kathy . but after the first page things are clear.
this part of the story fast forwards 20 years and then history is some what repeated of Brooke and Kevins love story however the 2 lovers in this book grew up together. being the children of best friends.
I dont want to say more about part four as i feel i may spoil things for the next reader but this book is onne to read thats for sure

I loved this series so much, the thought of falling for your boss and fighting to remain professional at all times but failing miserably!
Keven and his assistant Brooke start this story when Brooke tries to find her Dad and starts to work for Keven at her father's firm, he is a complete arse and she winds him up daily but they can't resist each other any longer and sleep together, things between the two of them get seriously hot but there is a problem on the horizon for the couple.
The final story recaps so much from the first book and I loved how it refreshed my memory of Kevin and Brooke's story, they are now older with a grown up family but still madly in love with each other. They continue to wind one another up which I loved.
This is about Kevin and Brooke's son Tyler who starts to work for the company to see if it's what he wants to do as a career, on his first day he realises his assistant is his sisters best friend, he is a total arse to her but she gives him as much shit in return. You can see Kevin and Brooke's story happening all over again.
This has been a brilliant series, I've loved the inner struggles and the hotness between the couples!

Great series!!!
This series was amazing. The story was one to love. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Although, if you are are going to be picky about editing and grammar usage then maybe you'll find yourself irritated at times. I have to say that I have read a few books wherein the editing,I thought, was done by an intelligent grade schoolers. At which point I didn't bother with the book. I've learned to overlook some of these issues when it pertains to a good story and where I don't find myself distracted by all the errors. Honestly, this series does have a handful of errors but nothing major where if you are smart enough it doesn't disturb the story. I would definitely suggest this series. Overlook the minor errors and you'll laugh, fall in love, cry, laugh again and fall in love all over again.

I found this series very interesting. Yes, it is the old story of growing up with no father only to find out the truth after the mother dies. Yet I found something in the telling of this story that kept me entertained and unable to put this series down.
I purchased this box set and was pleasantly surprised with the author's writing style and storytelling gift. The plotline had a few interesting twists and kept me glued to these pages.
If you are looking for a book to entertain and pass the time, this is definitely recommended.

I was given this book for my honest review
Kevin and Luke's journey is a hard one make no doubt about that. These characters compliment each other and will keep you on the edge of your seat from the very first word till the last and then you will want more of them. I just wanted to yell and scream at times every time the author put in a twist that had me floored but the twists worked and this read became amazing.
The sensuality, the hotness and the twists surely had me.

Sweet...
Ok, so I'm really not feeling the whole stepbrother romance phenomenon. However, in this series it was very uniquely written. Brooke and Kevin had no idea their relationship was so close until after feelings developed. I kept thinking throughout the book that Luke was a little dumb for not figuring out his connection to Brooke. Unfortunately all the secrets caused quite a bit of heartache. With that being said, this series had a great storyline and wonderful cast of characters.

I loved this series, I liked how the reader made you aware of the issue at the start of the book. The rest of the book is based on what Brooke finds out and how she works through what to do. She didn't count on falling in love.
This book is full of sass, love and heartbreak. By the end I could not finish it, I had to blow my nose and wash my face so I could continue, that didn't make a difference once I started again I was a blubbering wreck.
Fantastic read, a battle of strong personalities, heart warming. I will be reading more from this author.

I really enjoyed the entire series. They were all quick and easy to read books which were also funny, steamy & hot one and all. I'm sure that the series will keep you on your toes. Each book should be read in order due to the fact that books 1 & 2 end in cliffhangers. I've written individual reviews for each book in the series. Enjoy them and have a chuckle or two while witnessing the quick, sharp & witty exchange between Kevin and Brooke.

I just want to start of saying that I absolutely loved this series! I fell in love with the characters. I felt these were very well written. In parts of the book I felt like I was actually there laughing at some of Kevin and Brooke exchanges.
I think you get fuller picture of the story when you read the books back to back.
The chemistry between Brooke and Kevin is sizzling hot. I was amazed they were able to keep the depth of their relationship under wraps.
I consider this series a 'must read'.

1.5 Stars. Poorly written. Didn't finish. The sequence of events didn't really make sense. Just couldn't overlook the holes in the plot. Author seemed to try and push how mean he was to the heroine and it just wasn't working. The hate... was totally feeling it. I mean they go riding on a motorcycle for lunch on the first day (and they hate each other and this is totally normal). Some authors could make this work, but this was definitely not the case.

This story is wonderful!!! It has drama, hot, sexy scenes, and characters that you can't help but fall in love with!! Sure, it could use a little editing but it's self-published and the errors that there were for few and far enough between that it didn't change the story or make it any less of a well written and great work! Fabulous book
I think this just became my favorite book. I couldn't put it down. grab tissues. the story makes you laugh and cry. it has a wonderfully written storyline. the characters are great. definitely enjoyed and would definitely recommend

Way better than expected
Not my typical read, but boy did I enjoy it!
Well written, edited properly (not always done these days), enjoyable storyline, hot characters, genuine emotions.
All in all, well worth the tiny money it cost.

We watch as Brooke struggles with her mother's death. She left alone, until she reads her mother's cofession. We see her build a relationship with Kevin, who has his own trust issues. Great series, highly recommended!!

4.5 stars. This was the first book I have read by this author and I loved it. Brooke has lost her only family and a secret is revealed that will lead her to her HEA eventually! This story took us on a bumpy ride of emotions it had me laughing and crying in equal measures. I loved how strong Brooke was and how she stood up to Kevin and his alpha controlling ways. This couple were truly made for each other but you couldn't help wonder if they would ever make it and that was what kept you turning the pages because you really wanted them to. Good recommended read.
