Elisabetta Gnone is an Italian writer. In April 2001, she co-created the Italian comic/magazine W.I.T.C.H. with Alessandro Barbucci and Barbara Canepa. The publication was later made into the television series of the same name. Gnone also wrote the children's trilogy Fairy Oak: Il segreto delle gemelle (The Secret of the Twins), L'incanto del buio (The Spell of Darkness), and Il potere della luce (The Power of Light). She expanded the Fairy Oak Universe with four more books, "The four mysteries": "Captain Grisam's love", "Shirley's wizarding days", "Flox smiles in autumn", and "Good-bye Fairy Oak".

When I was young I didn't have all of the magazines, so some of the parts were left out and I had to guess what happened. Now I understand more about the astral drops and how Will's first kiss happened. I'm happy to finally read all of them in order!

To be honest, I love nothing more than a good doppelganger-plot and I do distinctly remember this issue now that I have read it. Interesting that fire is depicted as the strongest element and the difference in the passage of time between Metaworld and Heatherfield.

One of the best ones yet! The storyline was pretty interesting, the art of the parallel world was great and I liked the strong friendship/family theme. There was a bit of Taranee's family as well. And five clones!

Mogę się mylić, bo choć robiłam rewatch bajki to jednak było to już trochę czasu temu, ale jednak mam wrażenie, że w komiksie wszystko się dzieje szybciej i bardziej intensywnie! Ale też odrobinę chaotycznie - zwłaszcza te przeskoki czasowe między poszczególnymi tomami. Mimo wszystko ogromnie mi się podoba i fajnie po raz kolejny wrócić do tego świata <3

Gostei muito mais deste 4 volume do que do 2º e 3º e espero que continue assim.
Agora é só continuar a seguir a histórias destas 5 bruxinhas.
Neste 4º episódio, Will, Irma, Cornellia e Hay Lin voltam a Meridian à procura da sua amiga Taranne que foi feita prisioneiro pelo principe de Phobos.
Mais uma grande demonstração de amizade e companheirismo, estas histórias começam a ficar muito mais intensas e simples de compreender. O envolvimento que sentimos ao longo da Bd é incrível.

While I reading the comics , I keep comparing them to the tv series. Their events are so much different but it is sooo entertaining. It is like watching two versions of W.I.T.C.H 😘😘😘

Rereading this after so many years.

I can clearly remember this issue because this was my first physical issue ever and I loved it. It obviously resulted to a lot of obsession way back.


Lots of things happened in this issue.

First off, Astral Drops. It was the first time that they all created their own version of Astral Drops. Will's turned out to be forgetful. She doesn't even know who Will is! And she doesn't know her own house or who her mom is. And one of the most anticipating scene was Will's astral drop kissing Matt! Elyon was totes jealous.

Next, Taranee was still captured by Cedric and Elyon. Elyon was feeding her reflections on what was happening at Heatherfield. At the end, Cedric said that fire is the most powerful element. I liked that Taranee is shy and quiet and an introvert yet she has the most powerful element. It sort of balances it out.

They also met their former Math teacher, Ms. Rudolph. It turns out she was a friend and helped them.

And it was so funny when Irma's astral drop agreed to a date with Martin. And Irma screamed so loud she could have woken up the whole town. Haha!

I'm so addicted right now! I used to have all the physical copies of the issues but my mom give them away so right now I'm rereading those in English at my iPad and, even this way, I'm completely in love with the art of these graphic novels! This drawings are so smooth and lovely but still realistic!

On this issue Will, Irma, Cornelia and Hay Lin got back to Meridian to save Taranee and that forces them all to create their own astral drops for the first time. And during all the episode we can follow both the real girls - in Meridian - and the astral drops - in real world - and both the adventures and troubles at the two worlds are incredibly fun and amusing!

Todo inicia conmigo en una librería en Italia y un cupón de 10 euros para gastar. Revisando todos los libros posibles, encontré este que me trajo un viejo recuerdo de infancia y no dudé en comprarlo.

W.I.T.C.H es una serie de fantasía que nos presenta a cinco amigas y a las aventuras y misterios que vivirán. En este caso, el libro que compré traía los primeros cinco volúmenes de la serie:

Halloween
I dodici portali
L'altra dimensione
Il potere del fuoco
L'ultima lacrima

Todos con cinco estrellas porque no se merece menos. Es una historia brillante, simple de leer y que te mantiene curiosa en la trama.

Oi että, en muistanut että jo sarjan neljännessa osassa on se kohtaus, jossa Willin astraalimarja suutelee Mattia epähuomiossa. Legendaarinen kohtaus! :D

Tässä osassa on muutamia muitakin ikimuistoisia hetkiä.

"En, mutta kunnon korvapuusti yleensä oikaisee sellaiset erehdykset."

Ihmettelen kyllä edelleen, kuinka heikosti tytöt on perehdytetty hommaansa. Kandrakarin väki tuhahtelee paheksuvasti, kun tytöt menevät Meridiaanin pelastamaan Taraneeta, vaikka heidän pitäisi sulkea portteja, ei kulkea niiden läpi. Mutta eihän tytöille ole kerrottu heidän tehtävästään juuri mitään! En oikeastaan edes muista, missä vaiheessa tytöt pääsevät ensimmäistä kertaa Kandrakriin ja tapaavat oraakkelin. Mutta eivät ainakaan vielä.

I cannot find the English equivalent of this volume, so I'm marking this one for my reading progress.

This was a pretty cool volume. It introduced the concept of astral drops (aka magical doppelgangers). The girls duplicated themselves and made these dupes stand in for them while they go about their duties. In this case, it was a way for them to escape reality (while still being physically present) and go rescue Taranee.

Also, I love that the girls were slowly making a little bit of progress when it comes to their relationships with each other. Cornelia was tamer this time around. LOL.

The memories are all coming back and, on my rereading journey of the W.I.T.C.H series, I become more and more happy that I grew up with this comic! Like most magical girl comics, or really any teen genre comic, the main theme is friendship. The girls are discovering the extent of their powers including astral drops, which play a big role in issue four. I distinctly remember this issue because of the astral drops and specifically Will’s copy. It’s a fun read with a cute ending and I’m in awe at how beautiful the art is! I remembered it being good but looking at it now is brilliant! It’s very fast paced and definitely aimed at a younger audience, but I still really enjoyed the read, particularly as it’s massively nostalgic!
