I was kind of annoyed with this at first. I knew it was still going to be in the After the Cure world, but I had hoped it wouldn't still be the City. I was looking forward to possibly seeing something in another country. Maybe doctors and scientists trying to find a cure on the other side of the globe. It would've been cool.
Well, this was cool too. It starts out looking like more of the same: yet another person who got infected and ate people and has to live with the knowledge of what they've done. Yeah, yeah...
But this ended up giving back story for an event that Nella mentioned in one of the books (3?). Which is pretty awesome. And Khang's decision is pretty heartbreaking. The bit about the button? *tear*
Deirdre Gould has talent. In the books she gets hampered by bad editing. In this little one-shot she gets to shine. So happy about that. :)
