Frost Station Alpha was published in six parts, with new episodes available each week, and should not be read as a standalone. It is available as a Complete Series (Frost Station Alpha, #1-6). This said the following review is for the complete installment. Genetically optimized human race was nuked when the government saw them as a threat. Some of them survived in cryogenic chambers to wake up 150 years later and find themselves starving on a destroyed moon, thus some men go on a bloody mission to blackmail the government for help. They kill all soldiers and kidnap the scientists as well as a communications officer on a nearby space station. While this story definitely does not speak for a very nice group of people, and I have morally a hard time to excuse the decision to kill so many innocent people, the action and romance where just great. Well done!
Yeah yeah yeah if this was an actual novel in full right now I'd skim to the end, but by doing this as a serial that I can read for free (through Kindle Unlimited) its not a terrible draw on my resources to put up with it.
I'm gonna skip over the whole "mercs killed the soldiers so Tamryn had to help Makk and his people to save them all" BS since it was really only a chance for him to share his people's tragic backstory, for her to feel like a heel for being an ass towards him (which NO) and for them to make out.
Firstly - no Tamryn you shouldn't feel like a heel for calling him an asshole. He was. He is. Sure he's not the biggest asshole there and he's hella likable if you don't mind the slaughtering of your comrades and threat to your life he represents, but NO. Don't feel bad for hurting his feelings.
Secondly - fuck you Makk. Just seriously. You've possibly "fallen in love" with her? How? Why? WHEN? During your stalking of her? Or when you handcuffed her? Blatantly told her you wanted in her pants? "Nobly" didn't shoot her for trying to kill you during a blowjob that she was initiating while half drugged? I don't know who's the bigger naive idiot here - you for thinking she's worth risking the mission for (repeatedly) or her for...well being her.
And actually a belated double fuck you Makk for the last part where you got turned on at the thought of hunting with her. This guy literally thinks about the carnal pleasure they'll have if they go hunting together in an ice cave and take down something together. While she's babbling about the fact she only went hunting with her father and grandfather (sorry da and grandda :eyeroll: ) so she could have their attention. In no way shape or form did she ever indicate she derived sexual thrills from the hunt, or from killing something like you seem to. NOTHING ABOUT HER CURRENTLY even suggests she would be a good hunter! She hides decently enough, if you don't have the nose of a bloodhound and stalking senses of Christan Grey, but where are these wonderful hunting skills?

Tamryn and Makkon must work together to fight off a new threat and that is the space pirates. *** She told them her name before she twigged that they were fakes. And now they want her to ransom. Makkon tells her to run but of course, she chooses to fight next to her recent enemies. Makkon is very impressed. And given she actually managed to shoot him earlier, he’s half in love with her for that alone. Brax, the Glacian co-leader, actually fought in the historic wars. But of course, it’s a TWWAAAP!
Lines are crossed in this installment of Frost Station Alpha
Tamryn crosses some major lines when dealing with the Glacians in this installment. You can feel her struggling with her attraction to Makk. Throw in another baddie and the old adage the enemy of my enemy is my friend sound right to Tamryn. Tamryn's secret is about to burst forth.
