She’s meant to be getting married tomorrow, not stranded in a snowdrift tonight. In this irresistible short story, Amazon Charts bestselling author Catherine Walsh serves up a Christmas Eve that changes everything.
Chloe is getting married tomorrow, and everyone is thrilled. Everyone except Chloe and her fiancé, Robbie. Somewhere between the castle and the ice sculptures, their dream Christmas wedding became a three-hundred-guest circus neither of them recognizes. Tonight’s task is Collect their beloved celebrant and drive back to the hotel. But a snowstorm, a mountain road, and a deeply unreliable car have other plans. Now they’re stranded on Christmas Eve with nothing but a tiny Irish pub glowing in the distance. But what if a little Christmas magic is exactly what they need?
Catherine Walsh’s Just Say I Do is part of All I Want for Christmas, holiday stories of winter wonderland weddings to warm the heart. Curl up and read or listen to each in a single dreamy sitting.
is it too early for christmas books?! 🫣🎄 i hope not because two books from this series are read now on netgalley 🤭💞 and i’m jumping right on to it because i love, love, love christmas books so much! thank you to my bestie, zil, for telling me to get this on netgalley 💗😚
Chloe is thrilled to be marrying her childhood sweetheart Robbie. She always dreamed of an intimate, picturesque Winter wedding to her soulmate.
So, how did they end up saying “yes” to their parents idea of the perfect wedding-in a castle-like hotel with 300 guests-when that is the complete opposite of what they wanted?
Is it too late to say “I do” in the way that they envisioned? Maybe fate will intervene…
A quick, cute, kisses only short story to start the snowy holiday season.
Catherine Walsh’s “Just Say I Do” is part of the Amazon Originals “All I Want for Christmas” collection of short stories with winter wonderland weddings. You can read or listen to each one in a single sitting.
Expected publication date: November 10, 2026
I grabbed my copy as a READ NOW on NetGalley. As always, these are my candid thoughts.
Chloe is getting married the next day, and everyone is happy except her and her fiancé, Robbie. Their dream wedding became a 300-guest drama. They have to collect the celebrant and drive back to the hotel. But a snowstorm and an unreliable car change the plans.
Stranded on Christmas Eve with only an Irish pub nearby might be exactly what they need.
The story comes in Chloe’s first-person POV.
My Thoughts
This is a cute little story about a couple totally in love but stressed by the huge production their cozy wedding became. There’s enough information to see that the MCs are ‘the one’ for each other and have been since they were kids.
The snow and the pub setting give it the required warmth. I absolutely love the side characters we meet in the pub, plus the FMC’s sister.
There really isn’t anything to say except that this was a funny, cute, and heartwarming read. No unwanted drama. Just a sweet story.
To summarize, Just Say I Do uses the Christmas setting to remind people what actually matters for a wedding, and why you need to do what makes you happy.
Thank you, NetGalley and Amazon Original Stories, for the eARC. This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book.
It's hard to rate this novella. The whole story takes place over the course of a single day, I didn't connect with the characters, and there weren't any particularly sweet moments.
The main characters are getting married, but the FMC is unhappy because it's not the wedding of her dreams. Her family wanted a big, extravagant celebration, and she agreed to it, even though she's now miserable. Honestly, I couldn't really sympathize with her.
The only thing this novella gave me was a bit of a wintery feel, but I expected more.
Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Original Stories for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

this one was actually really cute!! i kinda wish this was a longer book bc maybe we could've had some chapters where we got to see them fall in love as kids 😌 the romance was also really cute, and i really liked being able to read abt them being engaged and then seeing them get married 🥹
‘Catherine Walsh’s Just Say I Do is part of All I Want for Christmas, holiday stories of winter wonderland weddings to warm the heart. Curl up and read or listen to each in a single dreamy sitting.’
A hearty winter storm ensues before Robbie and Chloe’s big wedding day that has everyone up in arms and the celebrant out somewhere stuck in the snow. So off go the bride & groom on a rescue mission, where they’ll find their missing nuptials guy, but not before getting stuck themselves. As the 3 of them seek shelter in a cozy Christmas-decorated pub to wait for a tow, they become acquainted with some quirky and friendly locals.
I love side characters done well. And I know it can’t be a simple task, especially in a short. But the pub SC’s were absolutely adorable and it was so easy to imagine myself sitting there with them having a pint and a laugh.
Storm be damned, the couple will have their happily ever after, just in a slightly unorthodox way with an intimate setting for the I do’s and the win.
Walsh’s work is always a delight.

Just Say I Do is part of the All I Want for Christmas collection from Amazon Originals (novellas from multiple authors that you can grab with kindle read & listen). I’ve loved Catherine Walsh’s holiday romances so I was excited for this one!
Chloe and Robbie are about to have a Christmas wedding, and sadly aren’t really looking forward to it… Not because they don’t love each other, they’ve been in each other’s lives since children, but all the dreams they had for their wedding aren’t happening since they’ve said yes to everyone else’s ideas for the planning. Now they’re regretting saying yes to their families ideas and wish they had a small intimate moment for just them like they always wanted.
Super cute! A quick one to binge in a sitting since the audio is about 1 hour. I loved their connection and history, they’ve known one another since they were children, started dating as teens, are best friends on top of being so in love. It was so sweet and we get enough backstory for it to be believable being a novella too. No steam: kissing only with a quick little make out sesh.
I received an audio ALC from the publisher, all thoughts in this review are my own.
This was just okay. It didn’t have a lot of substance and wasn’t as Christmas-y as I’d have hoped. I kept thinking there would be some grand happy moment or fun little twist, but it was very low stakes.
It’s about a couple who are childhood friends that are getting married, but the FMC wanted a small wedding and their families wanted a large one. So on the eve of the wedding, they find themselves on a small adventure, and end up at a pub with some options in front of them.
This is set in Ireland and is single first person. This has no spice (kissing at most).
Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Original Stories for the eARC in exchange for my honest review. This will be available on kindle+ as an ebook and audiobook on November 10.
[arc review] this is the perfect festive read for christmas!!!!
chloe and robbie are childhood friends turned lovers who are getting married at christmas, because christmas has always been their season. except the wedding they had in mind is vastly different to what has been planned for them.
this was a cute read and I flew through it. I really enjoyed seeing them get the wedding that was right for them. like most novellas that I’ve read, I just wish there was more!
thank you amazon publishing for the advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review!
thank you to netgalley, amazon publishing uk & catherine walsh for the arc! :)
this was genuinely so so so cute! this is the first book i read on my first ever kindle & i had so so so much fun hehe! this is my first catherine walsh story & i can’t wait to check out her other stories, i genuinely would have loved to follow the characters in this story for a full length book actually! this is the perfect cozy & quick (only about 50 pages) christmas story & i genuinely can’t wait to read the rest of the stories in the collection! we follow chloe & robbie as they are preparing for their wedding, their families have planned them this big extravagant crazy wedding and they are grateful but they just feel like it isn’t them, they want a smaller cozier more intimate & fun wedding with just a few family & friends! as they begin feeling like this & talking about this together, they realize their celebrant, paudie has gone missing and they go out into the winter storm to search for him and the story follows their adventures as they try and find him, it is such a cute story full of fun, coziness & laughter (it had me giggling AT LEAST 75 times) :)
This was cute! I knew Catherine Walsh wouldn’t let me down.
Dreading the extravagant castle Christmas wedding their families have insisted on, Chloe and Robbie end up at a quaint Irish pub during a snowstorm the night before the big event. I adored the unexpected setting in this one, along with its fun, lovable side characters.
Since Chloe and Robbie are an already established couple and madly in love, it was missing a bit of that will-they-won't-they tension, but I think this kind of HEA premise worked perfectly for a novella. I loved having these two get a chance to step away from the noise of everyone else’s expectations and celebrate the way they want.
(spice level: kisses only)

A cute, super quick story about Robbie and Chloe, who are about to get marriedbut aren’t feeling it, not because ofeach other, but because the weddingisn’t what they want. Was it love changing? No. Was it fun? Yes
Also, perfect to read if you haven’treached your reading goal yet.
Thank you Amazon Publishing UK for providing this short story for review via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
I quite liked this one. The author made a good choice by writing a love story about an already established couple. It meant that the story had room to breathe, it didn’t have to build their relationship. We meet Chloe and Robbie the night before their wedding, hiding in a hotel room from the obligations of an overly extravagant multi-day wedding that neither wanted.
The strength of this story was the dialogue and the characters. I liked how Chloe and her sister talked to one another, and to Robbie. They really felt like people who had been around each other their whole lives. But by far my favorite character was feral and funny Harriet.
This was a cute story that made me add Catherine Walsh to my list of authors worth checking out more from. Recommended.
I’ve read one other story in this holiday collection and both of them mentioned Kindle by name. I doubt the authors chose to do this themselves and it just hit me as kind of tryhard on Amazon’s part. We know about Kindles guys.
Third book in the "All I Want for Christmas Collection" - perfect to catch up on your reading goal or a one sitting read/listen. This was my favourite of the bunch so far.
It's Christmas Eve and also the Eve of Chloe and Robbie's wedding. Instead of being happy and excited; they're both dreading it. They love Christmas, love each other.. but hate the wedding that their parents have planned for them.
The officiant to their wedding gets stuck in he snow storm, and to escape all the crazy, Chloe and Robbie volunteer to go rescue him. Only to get stranded themselves. They luckily make their way to shelter in a cute little bar but waiting for the pick up truck may mean they miss their own wedding.. but would that be a bad thing?
I loved the already established relationship and that this focused on their wedding instead of any issue between them or a couple just starting a romance - it was a great change of pace.
"This may not be the wedding of my dreams. But it's the wedding to my soulmate"
"He may or may not definitely be missing."
"It's Christmas. My favourite time of year. I could at least act like it."
On the eve of their destination wedding, childhoods sweethearts Chloe and Robbie can't help but second guess all of the choices their family made for their wedding. Their dream, quiet, intimate gathering has ballooned into a giant, expensive extravaganza that simply isn't them. While following the maid of honor's orders and organizational plans, can Chloe and Robbie carve out a special moment just for them?
This sweet novella brings all the romance and witty lines we love from Walsh with minimal drama and tension. It's the ultimate feel-good Christmas romance!
"Do you want the good news or bad news?" "I want no news." 🤣🤣 "... it definitely straddles the line between fairytale and ominous murder mystery." "I feel like you're about to steal my phone." 😂 "Good to know you have limits." 🤣😂 "When we get back, I'm taking your kindle away." "Probably for the best." 😂😂

Thank you to Amazon Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC!
This feel-good story was a quick 45-min read that got me in the mood for the Christmas season!
What I Liked: - The side characters were really well written and endearing for such a story story! - I appreciated that the author didn't try to take on a full novel-length plot. It felt appropriate for the length of the story. - The setting (a castle and pub in the snowy mountains) was perfect for the Christmas season.
What I Didn't Like: - The main male character Robbie didn't have strong characterization and we barely got to know him at all. - It was more Women's fiction than romance. There was no conflict arc typical of a romance.
Bottom Line: A short and sweet Christmas-themed story that will provide a light escape from the busyness of the season.
Content Considerations: Kisses only, no spice. Minimal profanity, if any (I can't remember any.)
Thank you to Amazon Publishing UK and NetGalley for the complementary copy of this story in exchange for my honest review. My opinion is in no way influenced by the author or publisher.

A very cute and heartfelt holiday romance.
We follow Chloe and Robbie on the eve of their wedding. Although they're excited to get married, they're markedly less excited about the extravaganza their families have turned their wedding into.
When their wedding officiant goes missing in the snow on the way to their castle wedding venue in the mountains, they decide to escape the madness by sneaking out to go looking for him themselves.
I thought this was a really charming and cosy short story, and I really enjoyed the writing style. There's nothing unexpected or anything that completely blew me away, but I appreciated that it didn't fall into the trap of trying to do too much in too few pages, and I was really invested in the characters from the beginning.
I would absolutely read a full-length book about the main characters. It would be wonderful. This was just so sweet!
I loved the whole concept. The only real problem was that the couple didn’t want a big, fancy wedding. They just wanted a small ceremony without a bunch of unnecessary relatives they hadn’t seen in years.
And then something happens that forces them to leave the castle where they were supposed to get married and venture out into a snowstorm to find a missing person.
Exactly what you need to lift your spirits and curl up by a window, enjoying the snowfall (though it’s not always a good idea, and the experience isn’t always as enjoyable as it sounds). ❄️
Just Say I Do is a cute, warm festive read despite being set in the middle of a snowstorm. A couple have realised just a day before their wedding that the planning for the big day has meant they have got a little lost in the build and making everyone happy has in some ways taken away their happiness and excitement for the wedding but when fate, an adventure and a snowstorm come into play they learn what truly matters to them.
This was a quick and easy read that warmed my heart. I loved these two characters and totally believed their love. I of curse wanted more simply because of how much i adored these two but this was such a great novella with beautiful themes running throughout. It worked as a reminder to slow down, step back and remember what really matters to you and the person you love most. If you love a festive read but don’t want anything too Christmas heavy then this one is for you.
Chloe & Robbie are a day away from their wedding. While they can’t wait to marry their person, they aren’t looking forward to the elaborate, over-the-top festivities their families organized, which just don’t fit the couple’s vibe. Maybe some unforeseen events can help change that for them?
I found the story engaging and the relationship between Chloe & Robbie is sweet and cute. It’s a super quick read that has great cozy winter vibes. I liked the setting and the side characters they meet while stranded. The grandpa and granddaughter duo at the pub were my faves.
This is one of the novellas in the All I Want for Christmas Collection. Releasing on KU (with audios) on 11/10/26!
Thanks to the publisher (Amazon Publishing UK) & NetGalley for an advanced reader copy! All opinions are my own.
Chloe and Robbie are about to get married; however, their entire wedding has been organised by their families, resulting in a grand and pompous event rather than the quiet and intimate one they both want.
It was such a cute story! I loved the partners-in-crime kind of vibe the main characters had. Even though we meet them after they've already fallen in love, there wasn't a single moment when their relationship felt boring. Their dynamic was one of my favourite parts. You could just tell from the way they talked how in sync they were.
It was also a refreshing take on the wedding theme of this collection, as Chloe and Robbie were the ones getting married instead of being attendants at someone else's wedding.
This follows Chloe and Robbie, a couple that are meant to be getting married tomorrow in this huge fancy ceremony. They're not exactly thrilled about it and would prefer a much smaller wedding but their family roped them into it. They leave the hotel they're in when their officiant doesn't show up and is stuck in the snow and end up getting stuck themselves. They end up in a pub where they meet strangers who may be able to help them create the wedding they actually want.
I found this short story/novella to be really cute. I loved how believable and real Chloe and Robbie's relationship felt and I liked that they were on the same page about everything for their wedding.
I also really loved all the side characters, including Chloe's sister and everyone they met at the pub.
Overall it was just a really fun time and have all the Christmas wedding magic I really could've asked for.
Thank you to Amazon Publishing UK and NetGalley for the ARC to honestly review.
Chloe and Luke are getting married in a remote castle where the wedding preparations blew out of their liking. When their preacher got started, they went to rescue him then got stuck in a snow storm where they decided to get married on their own terms.
This is such a cute and fun novella.
The book still got the Catherine Walsh's humor and writing style on it, plus the setting was a vibe. However, it felt like the end of a book, yk. It doesn't feel very complete.
Read this during my doctor's appointment and facial, where it keeps me company during waiting time.
Part of Amazon Original Stories' Christmas collection, this was another cute little festive read! 💍☃️
A super sweet friends to lovers story about a couple set to be married who find themselves caught in a snow blizzard. The couple were adorable, but honestly, the wholesome little town and its lovely townspeople were the highlight for me!
A cosy, feel good Christmas story that was short, sweet and full of festive charm🩵

My Thoughts: This was cute! I liked how we got some backstory on the couple to help us feel connected to them. Their love story was very sweet. I honestly wish this could have been a full-length novel, because I enjoyed the set-up and would have loved to see the events leading up to the wedding that neither of them had dreamed of. It was cute to see them make their own special moment that they could look back on fondly. All in all, this was a great beginning story in the collection.
