Spoilers!

What’s it all about:
Lexi has known money her whole life, what with her e-husband being in the lime light and of course wanting a younger model of herself. Lexi knows how to take care of herself and handle men who have money and seem to want to control her. The same goes for Sloane Slade. He knows what he wants and goes for it, controlling all aspects, but when it comes to Lexi he just can’t seem to find the right footing.

The Worst Parts:
This story is like a fifty shades wannabe. That sounds harsh but when reading about a sex scene, which sin’t actually there, just kind of told to you about champagne and strawberries, there isn’t much more you can think about. Which can I just say it is not fun t have alcohol poured on your body, thats sticky, and having a strawberry shoved up you vag, so not cool. These story line seems a little predictable and is very hard to believe in the characters.

I didn’t see Lexi as one to just go out and be at a club, but I didn’t see Sloane as the one to come barging into her place the next day. We don’t get enough of the characters to appreciate what they do. Also there are lots of word changes and names that are confusing. Like Miranda, who is also Mirry, used both in the same sentences more than one. Lexi, who is Alexis, and then there is Edward. I truthfully have no idea who he really is, but just a figment of our imagination.

Final Thoughts:
I think this novel could have been great. Could have. It needed to be longer and more thorough to really understand the characters. If you were going to introduce so many then I need more. You never really get the sense of Lexi or Sloane to understand why they make the choices that they do. Why is she afraid to be in a relationship again, since we have no idea what really happened in her marriage. Also with Sloane he is so paranoid about trusting people, but tells Lexi his deepest secret and wants to marry her right off the back. Unrealistic.

I received a copy of “A Slade Overload: An Erotica Romance Novella” through a giveaway on LibraryThing and the following is my honest opinion.

Ms. Knight wasted no time in getting to her first erotic scene as it’s in the first paragraph of this story.

Slade is the kind of guy every woman fantasizes of having to fulfill her sexual desires to the nth degree, and Lexi is the woman who’s lucky to have him as her partner. Even though she has come to expect how satisfying her next encounter will be, Slade is full of surprises when it comes to giving his hot partner a new sexual experience, as can be seen in this first paragraph.

Besides the sexual scenes this story is loaded with emotions. While Ms. Knight is apparently a New York girl, this story is sprinkled with some British terminology, which doesn’t have any impact on the storyline itself.

For allowing me fantasize being Lexis, I giving the author’s endeavor here 5 STARS.
