A Gypsy Brothers Epilogue

They say a human being needs few things to exist.

A purpose,

Hope for the future,

But most of all...

Love.

Juliette Portland had all of those things. Her purpose was simple: Seduce. Deceive. Kill. Avenge. Once Dornan Ross and his sons were dead, her future was supposed to be clear. Her life was finally going to begin. And love... Against all the odds, she had the love of a boy she never thought she'd see again.

Everything should have gone according to plan. Everything should have been easy.

Of course, life has a way of f*****g with even the most meticulous of plans, and calling in owed debts can have the most severe consequences. Thanks to Juliette's diabolical retribution, the Il Sangue Cartel has lost it’s Kingpin, but not for long. There’s always someone in the wings, ready to step onstage and seize power. The Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club might be reeling from the deaths of their President and his six patch-wearing sons, but they’ve come back swinging.

Two deadly enemies, hundreds of bloodthirsty members, both sides eager to punish those that would try to topple them.

Two survivors, a man and a woman, forced to flee in the night.

For Juliette, vengeance is a hollow victory.

It never, ever ends.

The flames of incomplete vengeance are licking at her heels, and it’s only a matter of time before the Il Sangue cartel and the Gypsy Brothers catch her in their grip and crush her.

Unless she crushes them first.

Wow this series was so good. It was like a wreck you know you should look away but you just can't help watching. This series has sex, lies, rape, torture, and murder all wrapped up in a action packed plot that kept me glued to my kindle. I will say that I wondered at times why Julz went about getting payback the way she did. I mean she could have just hid and killed them off instead of bedding the enemy, but still this series was a addicting read. I can't wait to read more books by Lili St. Germain.

Another Action-Packed Installment

I loved the 'Gypsy Brothers' series because there was never a dull moment. Like earlier installments in this series, 'Zero Hour' is fast-paced and absolutely gripping. It has been quite awhile since I finished the other serials, but within minutes I was right back into the story, like no time had passed at all.

'Zero Hour' picks up where the last serial left off. Jase and Juliette are on the run after the death of Dornan. The cartel and remaining Gypsy Brothers want them dead...or worse. They've made a deal with the DEA, but it looks like they might fare better on their own, suspecting that their DEA contact is dirty.

Along with Luis and Elliot and his family, the couple has been bouncing from one safe house to the next. Yet, time after time, the cartel hunts them down. Sick of running, they decide to deal with the threat once and for all.

In the meantime, Juliette and Jase have to work through some relationship issues. Jase has secrets that he's kept from Juliette all this time, and so does she. Neither of them is being completely honest about what they experienced, or what they want now. Eventually, it all comes to a head and they are forced to come to terms with everything.

As with earlier books in this series, I was completely entranced by this story. I'm continually amazed by the amount of action and content that this author can pack into so few pages, without making the story feel rushed. Every page is significant. This book is a fantastic way to spend an hour or two.

This is like one big epilogue of The Gypsy Brothers series. You need to read the series to get to this one, as it is not a standalone.

Jase and Juliette, after dealing with Dornan (Gypsy Brothers President) and his father (head of a drug cartel) are on the constant run. The moment they settle somewhere, their hiding place is discovered and they have to run again. You would wish they had some peace finally, but nothing like that happens, that is until they decide to take matters in their own hands and deal with cartel and bikers once and for all. Together with Elliot and Luis, they literally wipe them off the face of the earth.

Along the vengeance, they try to be happy together again and though it's hard after all they went through, they love each other too much to give up.
Julie is weak and dissipated in the beginning but she comes to her badass self at some point, thank god. But Jase was the big surprise for me, I always thought he was this quiet, collected Gypsy brother, I never would have thought he had this dark side. I am aware this was all Dornan's doing, but still I was shocked about his kinky desires.

This one is supposed to sum everything and though it does in most aspects, strangely I still have few questions that I would like to get answers for. Except this minor objection, overall, I enjoyed it and if you like it dark and gritty, I recommend the whole series.

"They say a human being needs few things to exist.
A purpose,
Hope for the future,
But most of all...
Love."

And this was the final chapter in this incredible and unbelievably fucked up story!!!
I think that this story was absolutely necessary for Juliette and Jase to find themselves and each other, once and for all!!!

The road was hard and full of thorns, but they had as a weapon the love for each other...

"She thinks I'm her light, but I'm her worst fucking nightmare."

The only sure thing is that Dornan is chassing them even through his grave!!!
He fucked them both up for good... in their head and in their bodies!!!

As much as they thought that they were free for him since he is not alive anymore, they were wrong!!!

“I am safe.
Dornan is dead.
Jase is with me.
The second and third are true, but the first is a lie.”

It had passed a little time since Juliette ended her revenge, but she still have the demon lurking in the dark and chasing her....

She is not the same girl as she were in the beginning... She got through so many shits in the last seven years and for all of them, Dornan Ross was the responsible one!!!
And it doesn't help the fact that her beloved one is looking like HIM!!!

"She’s like a ghost of two girls—Juliette Portland and Samantha Peyton—because she’s both of those people, and she’s neither. She’s what was left behind after the fall."

Jase has his own demons to face... Demons that Dornan Ross created to his own son from the very first moment that they met each other...

Jase is trying really hard to keep his demons in check because he doesn't want to hurt Juliette but it's getting harder and harder as the days are passing by...
He is afraid that if Juliette will discover them, she will understand how much alike Jase is with his father....

"Sometimes, I can’t tell if I’m starting to become him. My father. Dornan. The way I am, the things I’ve done—they make Juliette’s sins look like child’s play.
Of course, I’d never tell her that. I’ll never tell her the things I’ve done.
It doesn’t mean she won’t find out anyway."

Juliette, Jase and Elliot are still on the run, since nothing got over when the Ross family died!!!
They thought that they will be free, but there are still people after them and the only solution is to end it once for all!!!

“I’ve created a war that spans countries and families for generations, a war paid for in lives and blood.”

At the same time, they had to fight to get free from the demons inside of them...
Will they find the light through all this darkness???
Will Juliette and Jase's love will stay untouched if the truth will surface out in the light???

Or can you???

"I push her into the wall, kissing her like I’m a dying man and she’s the thing that’ll save me. Because she is the thing that will save me. She always has been.
My beautiful, vengeful girl."

***For those that they will love dark and a little fucked up stories, this story is one that you don't want to miss!!!***

We almost lost each other twice.
We’ll never lose each other again."

“I am safe. Dornan is dead. Jase is with me.
The second and third are true, but the first is a lie.”

If you haven’t read the Gypsy Brothers: The Complete Series, you need to before reading this. This series is a dark romance but even at that, I wouldn't say it's a love story. This is a raw, gritty tale about vengeance, hatred and evil with love mixed in. It's not for the faint of heart and it's certainly not pretty but it's one wild ride that will keep you on edge, fists clenched and stomach churning!

“I’ve created a war that spans countries and families for generations, a war paid for in lives and blood.”

This is Juliette and Jase’s story in the aftermath of killing Dornan Ross, Jase’s father and head of the Gypsy Brother’s MC and his father, Emilio Ross, head of a drug cartel. Of course, no surprise, they're on the run. They no sooner settle in a new place and then their cover is blown. With both the MC and Cartel on their heels, Julz and Jase are constantly staring death in the face. Elliot, his daughter and ex-girlfriend are also on the run with them, as is Luis.

 photo zero hour_zpsag1i4eil.jpg

Jase and Julz are reeling. No surprise, vengeance doesn’t necessarily bring peace. They're drifting apart, fighting their own demons...

and the ghost of Doran that just refuses to fuck off, but they still love each other so much.

“I love you because you are you.”

This was the perfect ending to this series and so very realistic. It's not pretty at times and it's not easy but it's fitting for the journey and fight that both Jules and Jase had to face to be where they are at the end.

"Bite me. Make me bleed. Choke me. I'm yours. I trust you."

Jase and Juliette are on the run, along with Eliot and his daughter and his daughters mother, all struggling with trying to evade the cartel who have been wanting them dead ever since everything came to a head in One Love.

Jase and Juliette are feeling all sorts of messed up, and their relationship is hanging on by a thread.

"I try. I try so fucking hard to be the man she needs me to be. But it's getting harder. I've got this rage inside me that never lets up, and I need somewhere for it to go."

I had almost forgotten quite how much I enjoyed this whole series, it is dark and gritty and Lili St. Germain doesn't hold back on anything.

It was brutal and incredibly raw, and I loved seeing how Jase and Juliette were able to deal with their demons and finally put the past somewhat behind them.

Definitely one of the most realistic and gripping biker series out there, it's been a hell of a journey and I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

A four star rating for me for both this epilogue, and the whole entire series.

Zero Hour is the last in the Gypsy Brothers series, a dark romance, told in dual POV.

This book was needed. It is the epilogue that was missing from Juliette’s story.

The seven men who destroyed her, died horrible. Now Juliette has to start living. Sadly she has become the shell of the former self.

But there is no time for weaknesses and inabilities. The Sangue Cartel and Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club are after Juliette and after the two men of her life, Jase and Elliot. All of them need to hide before they decide their next moves.

Elliot is trying to protect his daughter and her mother. He does not want to hate Juliette for this mess, but he cannot help it.

Jase is trying to fight his demons and he is miserably ashamed of his past. A past that Juliette does not know anything about it.

Dornan on the other hand, may be dead but he is still torturing them from the grave. The ghost of him is still around, terrorizing them, confusing them and fuck with their lives.

Jase suffers the most, but Juliette will be once more there for him:

“Fuck me. Bite me. Make me bleed. Choke me. I’m yours. I trust you.”
“You are good. You’re mine. We belong to each other. I’ve never loved anyone the way I love you. I love you because you’re you.”
“Give me your darkness. Give it to me, and I’ll give mine to you. I am never walking away from you.”

And vengeful Juliette is back and the time for action has come.

I don’t want to add anything else. I just want to say that there is peace in the end and love and lots of money. Perfection!

Can LOVE conquer all?

Zero Hour is the much anticipated Epilogue to the Gypsy Brothers Series. In its entirety, The Gypsy Brothers takes the reader on a dark and twisted path. There’s a bad, bad man and his sons. A courageous heroine, a boy she used to love and loved her back, and a man who became her hero. It's about revenge of the highest order; retribution is essential for the healing of the protagonists. For readers who love the rawness and the relationships behind the story, they'll not want to miss the conclusion that wraps up this series comprehensively, leaving no thought unanswered.

The time period toggles between past and present with both new and old information. The reminders, whilst I feel they're maybe too detailed and littered too much throughout the story, do act as the perfect reminder of the happenings in the first seven novellas. My frustration came from the fact that I wished for the epilogue to develop and move forward with the present time frame a little quicker, it was a little too deep rooted in times gone past, for too long, for my personal taste. Despite this small frustration with the story arc, the author completely drew me in to the epilogue and recaptured my love for the characters until the thrilling end.

The story isn’t a pretty one full of hearts and flowers, its raw and grim. It showcases darkness and evil but it’s these elements that make the light shine when goodness is exposed. I felt heartbreak for the teenage Jase. His story is tragic and so very sad when you see the pictures created with the prose.

I highly recommend this series if you enjoy your books on the edgier side, with a dark quality to the subject matter and a main female protagonist who makes challenging decisions. Zero Hour is ultimately a must for readers who fell in love with Jase and Juliett. I was gripped from the beginning of this series to the end. It has everything fear, revenge, suspense a glimmer of romance, and beautiful relationships. This is not a love story but I felt love and hope as much as I felt fear and darkness.

Note: Zero Hour is told in the first person narrative from the perspective of the main three players, Jase, Juliette & Elliot.

MY RATING: 4 STARS

The final, shocking conclusion to the #1 bestselling Gypsy Brothers series

I've followed this series throughout, one thing I've learn't to expect from this author is her ability to push us out of our comfort zones with her dark, gritty, stomach curdling moments within this series..

They say a human being needs few things to exist.

A purpose,

Hope for the future,

But most of all...

Love.

Just like the previous books within this series you have that sit on the edge of your seat anticipation awaiting for a shit storm to come at you in pure Lili style. So easy to get into, so hard to put down.

I am safe. Dornan is dead. Jase is with me. It's my mantra, words that I repeat over and over.
I am safe.
Dornan is dead
Jase is with me.

You'll be pleased to know that life FINALLY comes to a standstill for Jace and Juliette, these two have been put through the wringer more than any other characters within a book I've encountered before, but knowing Lili more is to come where these two are concerned..In this book we see the broken parts of Juliette and the dark bits of Jace emerge..

No more secrets, all will be revealed.

She's still recovering from the torture and mental abuse my father rained down on her in the three months she vanished.

Vengeance

Sometimes, I can't tell if I'm starting to become him. My father. Dornan. The way I am, the things I've done - they make Juliette's sins look like child's play.

Love conquers all

I'll never tell her the things I've done.

When I'm really tired, I see things. I see him. In the corner of my eye, Dornan Ross looms, even though he's dead and buried.

So many loose ends in the end.

Can't get over the fact that the H is slut shaming the h for getting raped and brutalized by his own father since the book 4 and it didn't stop until 70% in this book with no apologies in the end or even a simple acknowledgement.

Jase you suck, booooooo.

A raw, gritty and fast paced ending to a series about corrupt and unscrupulous biker gang and the woman that set on taking her vengeance against them.

They say vengeance is a platter best served cold. What they don’t say is that it leaves an ugly aftertaste that’s almost impossible to get rid of. After making sure evil incarnate, Dornan Ross and his sons, where six feet under, Juliette Portland got what she thought she wanted. She was supposed to be free and be able to live and love.

But even without a head the Il Sangue Cartel and the Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club won’t die that easily and they’re looking for retribution of their own.

Can Julliet and Jase find the freedom they’re seeking? Not just from the monsters that would crush them but from their own pain, guilt, emptiness and remorse from everything they’ve been forced to do in the past years and haunts them day and night?

I have to start by saying that this is my first Lily St. Germain book, and when she says she writes disturbing romance she means it. Zero Hour is intense and I really appreciate the fact that I could read this title and understand it without having to read the rest of the series. I don’t normally recommend doing this because I know that a series like this is better understood and savored when read in order. But to be completely honest I was curious.

I still can’t get over how Jase and Juliette were so thoroughly broken to the point of being almost unrecognizable, even to each other. Finding their happiness was not easy much less guaranteed with so many blood on their hands and malicious people after them. They had to face their inner demons, be brave enough to reveal their darkest and most shameful secrets to expunge the poison to which they had been exposed in order to find the buried boy and girl who so many years ago had fallen in love.

Having to know of the horrors and violence that Juliette and Jase were submitted to and made to participate in even after the fact left me reeling. I don’t think I could have survived reading the rest to the series. It’s not you, it’s me, disturbing is not my cup of tea, can we still be friends? And I don’t have to like it to give it a four or even five star rating because I certainly recognize a well written story that’s more than capable of stirring emotion.

Zero Hour is installment #8 in the Gypsy Brothers series. It’s a novella told from both points of view with a happy ending. WARNING: Due to violence and explicit sexual content readers should be 18+.

Lili St. Germain does it again! Her stories are the adrenaline shot I've been craving and Zero Hour only feeds the addiction! The foundation you're standing on explodes from a mega ton blast as hailing sheet rock, wood and fire litters the space.

The eerie sounds of screeching metal grinding together is worse then any horror flick you've ever watched. The Sangue Cartel and Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club is pounding at your door, stalking your every move, demanding payment in pound of flesh. Bullets are flying, past haunts the present.

There's only one goal you share with Jase, the man you love and your trusted allies.... survive! Need I say more? Gypsy Brothers is a hell of a great series and why I read everything Lili St. Germain puts out! Happy reading...enjoy!

I didn't read the synopsis to "Zero Hour." Maybe I should have because for some stupid reason, I thought this final instalment in the "Gypsy Brothers" series would go easy on me. I mean epilogues are supposed to be hearts and flowers right? Nope, not this one. Lili St Germain came back with a vengeance and was absolutely ruthless when it came to my emotions and my anxiety levels. I knew Juliette and Jason were on the run. I mean they'd killed the president of the Gypsy Brothers MC. I knew they'd made enemies of the cartel so I was expecting a game of cat and mouse as the couple went on the run. But they had each other and love conquered all.. isn't that what they say? Well how wrong was I because this couple were drowning both as individuals and as a couple.
"He's dead.... he's dead but you're the one that's gone."

The time had come for Juliette and Jason to face their demons but with so many skeletons in each of their closets, with so many untold secrets and with the nightmares never far away, would confessions bring them closer together or tear them apart? My heart broke for Juliette and Jason. They were finally back together and Dornan was dead. It was supposed to be over but it was like Dornan was still playing with their lives, toying with them and driving them closer and closer to breaking point. There was so much guilt, so much pain, hurt and resentment from both sides. It was so devastatingly sad to read as each of the characters tried to come up for air only to find the past pulling them under water again.

This was a fast paced, intense, action packed conclusion to Jase and Juliette's story that also gave us an insight into the possible next chapter in Elliott's story. That man truly deserves his own HEA and I pray that Lili gives it to him.
"It's going to be okay," she whispered.
She loved him, even then. Her beautiful broken boy. He didn't smile. he didn't blink. But he squeezed her hand back. And she knew, somehow, that they belonged to each other.

I rated "Zero Hour" ❤️❤️❤️❤️

4.5 stars!

This is the end of the Gypsy Brothers series and what a ride this series has been! This book picks up from where One Love had stopped! The plot is still interesting, strong, surprising and full of raw emotions and action. But Zero Hour is kind of different from the previous books since it's not only Julz's POV that we get but the one of Jase and Elliot. To be honest, I loved that at this point Jase's and Elliot's thoughts were heard. I needed them.

Juliette has totally changed from the young woman in Seven Sons. She is not anymore confident, full of anger and desire for vengenence. She feels totally lost since she cannot find any purpose in her life at this point. But she has survived horrible situations and she still stands on her feet! I love her for it! I also love her for loving Jase with everything she has, every part of her mind and heart. And I love her the most for finding the peace of mind that she needed.

Jase, oh Jase. This boy became a man much sooner than I thought! After Alternate and Jace's secrets about his past, I feel so much pain for him. He doesn't like himself and he is so scared that he will lose Juliette if she ever finds out his dark side. And he loves her! So very much! I love him too! For being a man and not giving up even when everything was so difficult between them.

Their interactions were full of pain and suffer for the most part of this book. I liked that Ms. St. Germain put them at this hard place before giving them the chance to really be together. Both of them had their darkness and they couldn't be together as it was. When they found each other, it was like an explosion of light and it was beautiful to read about it!

The end of the story was perfect! Everything fell in place in a way and I loved that there was a part of Elliot's end. The reason that I cut half a star is because I'd love to know more about Luis whereabouts and choices after everything. I kind of missed him in the end.

I definitely recommend this series to everyone who loves dark, raw, intense books!

After the ending for the Gypsy Brothers, I knew Jase and Julz weren't over. I knew their HEA wasn't complete. They were things that needed to be out in the open. They needed more time to deal with what they've done, what they were after all this madness.

At first, I didn't recognize Julz. She was so different from what I read before. She was more broken than brave; she was more scared than brave. She wasn't herself anymore.

« She’s right here beside me, but I can feel her slipping away. I’m losing her. I’m losing us. I don’t know what to do »

Jase was no better. He only want the best for Julz and he doesn't feel worthy of her. He hides himself behind his trouble past, terrified to lose his girl if she found the truth.

description

In such a short story, Lily Saint Germain maintains my attention all along. Our MC will have to battle for their happiness. They will have to again overcome certain obstacles to be fully together.

description

In a little over 100 pages, you have true ugly moments. I was holding my breath most of the time, praying for them both to stop suffering the way they did.
Now that it's the end, I would want to see Elliott HEA too. I hope a new book is in the card for him ♥

“Give me your darkness. Give it to me, and I’ll give mine to you. I am never walking away from you.”

description

description

☆ I received an ARC via TRSOR PR in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!! ☆

Zero Hour….. Is there really any words to summarize what I’ve just read? As much as I’d like to write about it, I also don’t want to give away the plot and what you can expect. It’s best to go into it blind.

For those of you who have read, which I’d imagine you already have, read all of the previous books in this series--- you know that Jase and Juliette have been through hell and back and are fighting and succumbing to the twists and turn of events, fate has laid upon them.

With each chapter, interchanging between the two and also Elliot, we see the ripples of being hunted and on the run, and how broken yet strong each character truly is.

It was amazing how my heart still bled for this characters and was stilted with the no holds barred quality that author Lili St. Germain integrates in the plot and these jaded souls.

Honestly guys, if you’re a fan of this series, pick it up now!! It’s everything you could have ever wanted and MORE.

I read this thinking it was an epilogue and a way for the MCs to find their peace and be happy.. Wishful thinking.
it tied some loose ends but it still feels incomplete.

I hated the whole "secret" thing, i feel like Lily wanted to make a new book and she just made up some bullshit, sigh*

I don't even know where to start. Sometimes when a book is so good, I struggle to find the right words and I really want to find the right words to do this book justice.

After reading One Love, I always thought there was more to Jase and Juliette's story. I also know we had a glimpse of what was happening to the couple in Hells Kitchen, Lili's collaboration with Callie Hart.

Each chapter is dedicated to either Juliette, Jase or Elliot. The trio are on the run from the remaining Gypsy Brothers and the Il Sangue Cartel. Who can they trust? The DEA? Will they ever be free from the violence and continuous running? All these questions seem to have been answered, but I have learnt to expect the unexpected from Lili, so maybe there is more to come, maybe not.

Having read this series in its entirety I have an overwhelming sense of unease each and every time, you just never quite know what is around the corner and I mean that in the best possible sense. I love the fact that I squirm at certain parts, I love the parts that made me unsure whether I wanted to turn away or carry on reading. And having read quite a few dark reads now, I have become immune to certain things, but not with The Gypsy Brothers series. Talk about shocking the unshockable.

This penultimate book is truly brilliant that is all there is left to say and Lili does tie up all those loose ends, so why do I get the feeling this is not the last time we'll be seeing Julz and Jase, or is that just my wishful thinking? Here's hoping!

4.5 STARS

I can never get enough of this dark, twisted and gut wrenching world of Gypsy Brothers. I have missed being in it and was eager to see whether or not Juliette and Jase would be able to find happiness without constantly looking over their shoulders. They have lived on the run for the past six months, having to constantly shift when their lives are in danger.

Zero Hour was told from multiple perspectives: Juliette, Jase and Elliott. I loved getting into the heads of the guys and seeing what they were struggling with. I was able to understand what Jase went through in the time after Juliette “died”; the horror and torment that his father, Dornan put him through. These acts shaped him into the man he is today and he is constantly trying to keep his beast at bay.

Elliott cared for Juliette from the moment that he walked into her life. He continued to protect her and will do anything for her. Juliette was a bit lost after everything that has gone down and he’s there to comfort her when needed. But he has to think of his little girl and her mother too.

The majority of the book was from Juliette’s perspective. She’s trying to pull herself back together, but I think with everything that they have been through that she may be suffering from a bit of depression. She can feel Jase pulling away and is unsure how to handle it. Once she has a purpose though, she begins to become her old self and is willing to do anything to save the people she loves.

Zero Hour was everything I expected. This is not a fluffy kind of read; it’s hard, it’s brutal, but there is undying love between these characters. The first third of the book was a bit slow, recapping some details that have happened in the past, recently or over the years, but it quickly picked up. The action scenes were quick (I would’ve liked to see more) and the sex scenes were intense! It was a terrific read and I am happy that they were all able to find some peace.

Zero Hour is the final installment in Lili St. Germain's epic Gypsy Brothers Saga. It is an epilogue after One Love and Alternate and cannot be read as a standalone.

New Years Day 2015 I started the Gypsy Brothers series. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, just that it wasn't a love story, but a tale of vengeance from the strongest female protagonist I've ever read. I read the seven books in two days and was completely hooked on Lili's words ever since.

"Not all vengeance is hollow. I feel like, for once in so very long, I can see the end of this dark tunnel."

Zero Hour ties Jason Ross and Juliette Portland's love, loss and retribution together. Some aspects of their lives were left unanswered in One Love and even more in Alternate, where we learned what happened to Jason during his years in confinement. This epilogue gave me such a wild sense of closure for their story and it couldn't have been written better.

"Give me your darkness. Give it to me, and I'll give mine to you. I am never walking away from you."

Lili St. Germain pulls emotions from her core and hits the nail on the head every time. I've read many serial series, dark stories, different points of view, but she always finds a way to keep the story fresh and new and I'm always on the edge of my seat. Nothing was redundant or boring. Zero Hour is the perfect ending to Jase and Juliette's quest for love and a future.

This hasn't really come as a surprise to me considering I wasn't a huge fan of Alternate. I just feel like this story should have ended with the 7th--and supposedly final--book of the serial. I'm over reading about Jase and Julz now. The only bits that really had my attention, much like in Alternate, were the scenes with Dornan. He is a character I have always been intrigued by and I cannot wait for his own series to continue as I love, love, loved book 1! But as for the Gypsy Brothers series, I'm glad it's done now because so am I.

4 In the dark there is peace stars!

Source: eARC Novella for Honest Review Courtesy of Author and TRSOR

I have to admit sometimes authors and readers don't want the story or series to end, which usually results in another book. However, that can often back fire because it draws out the story too much. But this was the perfect scenario where its just an epilogue/novella. This way we get just a snippet of being drawn back into this world without over doing it.

Oh! Boy! Jase and Juliette are the definition of effed up. But someway or somehow it works for them. Both of their darkness equates to some inner peace for them.

At the end of One Love I was hoping that Jase and Juliette would find their version of a HEA. However, within this dark world, things don't always equate happy and easy. These two are still on the run, and are dealing with the aftermath of all of Dornan's mind fucks.

I am safe.

Dornan is Dead.

Jase is with me.

With the help of Elliot, Luis and Tommy these two finally start to conquer all their demons inside and out.

"Don't fight it," she whispers.

"Give me your darkness. Give it to me, and I'll give mine to you. I am never walking away from you."

This was a quick window back into this world, where all of the players can make peace with everything that has happened. It's the unconventional HEA, which we expected no less for these two. Jase and Juliette still have a long way to go, but once they finally give away all of their secrets, can they finally move forward. It's not easy, but it's their truth.

Even though this is such a dark series, there is also so much light and hope. Everyone needs light and for Jase and Juliette, they just plain need each other and no one else will do. Great ending to a great dark series.

~*~ Obsessed by Books copy given in exchange for an honest review ~*~

"Your problem is, you stopped being angry. You stopped being vengeful. Where's that furious girl who killed all the people who did her wrong? Where's that girl who danced in the dark?"

What do you do when the monster that lurks in the shadows is dead? When all you had was the need to end his reign of terror and free yourself from the stranglehold of that ultimate evil? Emptiness. Pain. And regret. The bitter hollowness of realisation that it's never enough to slay the beast as he stalks the corridors of your mind, reliving the horrors again and again...there is no escape. He may be dead but he haunts every waking moment. The remaining Gypsy Brothers want blood and the Cartel wants their money. The end game has been set in motion but can Juliette and Jason survive?

Zero Hour is explosive. The fallout from their actions are palatable and the consequences are far reaching. With nothing but time on their hands as they play cat and mouse, evading the men who want them dead, Jason and Juliette have to deal with who they each see when they look in the mirror - Dornan. Moulded by the atrocities he committed and made them participate in to survive can Jason and Juliette reveal their deepest fears and expose the ugly inside? They must battle through the layers of hurt to find that broken boy and that innocent girl that fell in love...but they have so much blood on their hands, and more to be shed.

Happily ever afters are not guaranteed. Sometimes acceptance is tantamount to defeat. Can Jason and Juliette finish what they started with a little help from their friends or will they succumb to the depths of their despair and fall victim to the Cartel and the Gypsy Brothers? My heart bleeds for one of my all time favourite couples as they face their greatest battle yet - survivors guilt. How do you continue to live when the cacophony of screams you have caused is your lullaby, when your skin is a road map of scars, when you no longer hide the devil inside? This book blew me away! Gritty and dark Zero Hour is the perfect end to their story.

A five star raw read.

Jase and Juliette, along with Elliot finally had the rest of their story told, and it was perfect. Although, honestly I could continue reading about them into their futures and not get tired of it. This was the ending needed to tie up loose ends left after the end of the Gypsy Brothers series. You must have read that entire series, and I'd also suggest the novella Alternate, before reading this book.

There are still so many unresolved hurts and resentments lying beneath the surface for both Jase and Juliette. They might be physically together but they're not emotionally close and they both know the other is slipping away. Juliette is drowning in grief and the realization that her revenge wasn't as sweet as she had hoped. Jase is plagued by the secrets of his past that he's hiding from her so that she doesn't see him for the monster he knows he is. They've been running for their lives, literally, with the remaining Gypsy Brothers and also the Cartel out to ruin them.

They're all tired of running and the only solution is to put an end to everything once and for all. Banding together with the few people left in the world they can trust turns out to be the start of the healing process they've so desperately needed. I'm not sure if you can say they get an HEA, because too much has happened that will never be forgotten. But when all the enemies are obliterated and all the secrets are exposed the true depth of their love for one another has a chance to prove itself. It's that love they need reminded of; the love that began when they were young teens surrounded by a nest of vipers and has continued to burn in their souls no matter what time has done to them. The realization that they have each other, and what that truly means, is what will get them moving in the direction of a happy future. I'd like to think that they're able to settle down safely in one place and get another chance at starting their own family. I wouldn't complain if Lili wanted to give us a novella set a few years in the future. :)

It will have blood; they say, blood will have blood.--MacBeth, SHAKESPEARE
I loved the very last book in this series because we got to hear Jace, Elliot, *and* Juliette's POVs. It was nice hearing Jase and Elliot's thoughts too.

This was a great HEA ending to a terrifying rollercoaster ride of death and destruction, and darkness with very little light along the way. I have fallen in love with Jace and Elliot, been worried, scared shitless and rejoiced for Juliette, hid my eyes and openly hated the man that Dornan was, throughout this entire series.

I was happy to finally find out what happened to Jase in those years that Juliette was with Elliot. My imagination really couldn't imagine the horrors he went though.

Juliette takes the prize for the most badass, fucked up heroin I've ever read about. She climbed up from her deathbed after being brutally raped by Dornan and his seven sons, to a relationship with Elliot, then back to exact her revenge on her rapists, to finding her lost love and her happily ever after.

Dornan is dead, the Gypsy Brothers and the Cartel are dead. Juliette got her revenge, even though it was actually bittersweet at times, and Jase gets his girl back.
Yes, a great wrap up to what will be one of my top favorite series' of all time. It was twisted and dark and chilling... all the things I love in my reads! There aren't many series that I've read that I can say were solid 5 star reads from start to finish, but this is one of them!

“I push her into the wall, kissing her like I’m a dying man and she’s the thing that’ll save me. Because she is the thing that will save me. She always has been.”

5 slow torturous stars!! The Gypsy Brothers series is one of my absolute favorite series and I loved this dark, twisty wrap up. Lili has knocked another one out of the park.

Jase, Juliette and Elliot are now on the run hiding from the cartel. Juliette is struggling with the death or hers and Jase’s baby and Jase is dealing with the dark demons he’s keeping secret from Juliette. The secret is eating him alive, which in turn is putting a wedge between him and Juliette. And just when you think they have enough to deal with, they find out the cartel are on to them and they are off on the run again. Back to Venice, where they have plans to take out the cartel and get their lives back. But when Juliette gets a phone call that gives her some insight into Jase’s dark past, will she still love the man she’s loved since childhood, or will his darkness push her away?

I loved this little wrap up of all the characters. I also enjoyed that we finally got an insight into what Jase was put through when he thought he had nothing to live for when Juliette dies. You finally understand him. This series is as sexy as it is dark, which I love!!! Absolutely worth the read!!

I received a copy of this title to read and review for Wicked Reads

4 Stars.

Zero hour is the long-awaited conclusion to the Gypsy Brothers' series. Each book is like a roller coaster ride on crack- slap to the face pacing that leaves the reader with whiplash. Once hooked on episode one, be prepared to binge-read the series in its entirety, leaving you sleepless and a bit ornery when interrupted.

At the end of One Love, I felt many emotions: satisfaction, heartbreak, and relief I was finally getting off the ride, hoping to get my equilibrium back. I wanted to know more about our broken Juliette- the girl was consumed by her own vengeance, making her just as bad, if not worse, than her victimizers. I felt the story had met its conclusion, but I was interested in whether it was possible for Juliette to truly have an HEA with all the taint on her soul. So I was equally shocked and intrigued when Zero Hour was announced- most readers were expecting a fluffy happy ending.

But Lili St. Germain is not fluffy.

Zero Hour was dark and gritty, wading through all the haunting pain, guilt, and resentment by the narrators. But what else could you expect after seven brutal installments?

A review is either to sell a reader on a book, or to dissuade them from buying. But if you've already read the seven previous installments, I don't think anything I have to say will do either. Just realize, don't start the book unless you have time to finish it in one sitting, as you'll be hard-pressed to put it down.

Perfect Ending

I can't get enough of this series. Juliette, Jase and Elliot have been running for their lives and Juliette feels she is losing Jase. With sick of running they decide to take everyone down and get on with their lives. I think this book ended the series perfectly. I will miss the Gypsy Brothers but look forward to reading what Lili will come up with next.
