The twigs snapped under foot, the branches whipped at his body. The air was chilled and frosty, a jacket of goosebumps spread across his skin. He could hear the dull sirens wail and the distant barks of fearsome dogs.
He was on the run.
With the sun setting and time running out, what he is truly trying to elude begins to haunt him in his every move. Before long, he finds himself in a struggle for survival against the one sole factor he had never considered...

Good descriptions of how the subject felt as he ran through the woods. I kept thinking the author's job is not to make you read about the situation, it's to make you FEEL the situation. I thought he did this pretty well.

My only criticism was the ending...seemed to be something lacking in that same sort of descriptive writing.

Overall I enjoyed it...good quick read which is what I was looking for.

Descriptive

Did not build character up, so no empathy for him. The description of what was happening was well written and would like to read a full novel with a full plot by this writer. This was like reading a final chapter of a book.

Good description of what the character was experiencing but the ending had me scratching my head.
