If you thought Tangled Bond, got us all tangled up with Drake and Noelle, Ms. Hart will once again have her readers entangled and tethered to a whole new fun, sexy, and dangerously romantic suspense in Tethered Bond. Detective Nash and Noelle may be the perfect duo to solve crimes but their story couldn't be complete without Noelle's crazy family, her feisty and meddlesome Nonna, and of course why not toss in a cantankerous British parrot named Gio into the mix. And oh yeah, we can't forget the cupcakes!!! So what can go wrong when you have Detective Nash to help protect the people of Holly Wood , Texas? Well, for one... they didn't take into account Noelle Bond.
Tethered Bond was downright fun, sexy, intriguing, and delectably sweet!!! I loved that Ms. Hart can weave romance, humor, suspense, mystery, and family craziness all into this story. The writing as always was engaging, witty, smart and outrageously fun! Ms. Hart never fails to deliver a story that will have you grinning from ear to ear and begging for more. I love reading her books because she can make her stories playful and at the same time incorporate some serious elements into the story-line as truths and secrets are unraveled.And of course, readers will be entertained with the playful and sexy banter of Noelle and Drake. I absolutely love this series. When these books pop up on my kindle, I dive right in and don’t come up for air unless I have to!
Drake and Noelle are back again and there’s another killer on the loose in Holly Woods. Their relationship is put to the test as they are working together again on this case. With a serial killer out there, an annoying ex, a crazy parrot, and an equally crazy Nonna, will Drake and Noelle come out of it all with their relationship still intact?
Drake and Noelle give me all the feels. I love their banter, their constant fighting, and their inability to stay away from each other. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I love the mystery and the romance of these books. They keep me guessing as to who the killer is while Drake and Noelle steam up the pages. ~ Leah, 5 stars

OMG, I couldn’t wait to crack open the latest craziness of Noelle and Drake’s story. And Emma Hart did NOT disappoint.
The lazy little town of Holly Woods, Texas has doubled in size since the annual summer fair vendors and crowds started to arrive. This annual event brings out the people and the crazy and the crazy people. Yes, that includes Nonna.
Noelle and Drake find themselves in unknown territory—a relationship. A boyfriend/girlfriend, “you’re mine, I’m yours” relationship. And God help anyone who tries to come between them—or tries to insinuate that it’s something more right now. Come Hell or…. Well, actually, it could be considered Hell dealing with Noelle’s family. Especially once the bodies start showing up.
Noelle and Drake are embroiled in yet another trail of dead bodies, but this time it’s not necessarily random. This time there’s a method to the killings—and no one is safe, especially not Noelle.
I loved everything about this book. Every. Thing. Noelle and Drake are so real in their reactions to their circumstances. Noelle and her independence but trying to be a little softer, a little more loving, a little less argumentative. And she tries so hard—even self-medicating through sugar. And she’s pretty damn successful until Drake opens his mouth.
Poor Drake—he’s just trying to be a good guy, a good boyfriend, and a good cop. He wants everyone in his world to be safe, protected. But, man he really fucks it up sometimes with Noelle. But their make-up scenes are sure fun… Speaking of fun and crazy—Nonna! Now with a parrot that speaks Italian and pirate. Good God. When is Tied Bond releasing?? ~ Missy, 5 stars

“Hot wench! Hot wench!”
Fucking hilarious! I can’t tell you the last time I laughed this hard, this loud and this often! I could sit and just quote my favorite funnies from this book and you’d laugh so hard you’d pee your pants, change them and then do it again. My current living situation means my laugh echoes and so then I laugh even more! My abs still hurt! Thank you, Emma Hart!
Noelle Bond loves cupcakes—Gigi’s Cupcakes to be specific—and so do I! She also loves being in charge, sky high heels, and telling all the men in her life what to do! Noelle, I think we can be BFF’s. You can have the Champagne cupcakes and I get the Raspberry ones. Deal?! Deal!

DAMN Straight! Thank you, Noelle, for setting the record straight! I have a love-hate-hate relationship with my treadmill, but a love-love-love relationship with Gigi’s Cupcakes! Um hum!!!

But when Noelle has to find out who is wreaking havoc on her town, it takes shoes, Gigi’s Cupcakes, loads of coffee, Beks and Brody, Trent, Dev and Drake to all help with this investigation!
And don’t we all know this chick….

AMEN Sister! I can’t wait to share this one with my girlfriends! Just wait Emma! This is going to be quoted all over Texas and beyond!

I love Noelle and Drake!
This series is so much fun and has great storylines. But I have to admit that I am getting a teeny bit bored now. I love the progression wth their relationship and how much these books make me laugh, but Noelle is starting to annoy me. I get wanting to be independent and not have others tell you how to live your life, but there comes a point when it’s just stubborn stupidity. When there’s a killer on the loose looking for Catholic women (which she is) to abduct, poison, rape and murder, ignoring your boyfriends will to keep you safe is just stupid. Going out alone to prove a point isn’t brave!! She’s reckless and makes awful decisions.
Also, no one ever seems to solve a case! Even the FBI was in on this one and they still just accidentally stumble across the killer at the very last minute. This has happened every time so far.
I enjoyed it overall, but I’m finding each book a little repetitive now. I will absolutely be finishing the series though as they are a ton of fun!

“I already have an appointment for next week.” He smiles, brushing his thumb across my cheek. My lips twitch, but they’re weak. “I’m scared to love you,” I whisper.
“Good,” he whispers right back. “Because I’m petrified of the fact that I love you.”

Emma Hart has done it again! She has once again delivered a truly exciting read. I honestly can not get enough of Noelle and Drake. The two of them together have the most explosive chemistry. I love that both of them have their own alpha tendencies and how well they challenge each other. Watching the two of them is like watching your favorite reality show. You never know what they are going to say or do next. And you can’t stop watching, or reading in this case, no matter what else is going on around you.
For all the Nonna fans out there, she does not disappoint. She is as crazy and as entertaining as ever. I can always count on her for a good laugh and for her to put a smile on my face. She is always one of my favorite parts of the story!
What can I say about Tethered Bond? Tethered Bond is exciting and captivating. It is well-written and entertaining. The characters are a lot of fun and there certainly is never a dull moment. Tethered Bond has the perfect mix of drama, laughs, romance, danger and suspense. I’m always excited to see what new case Noelle will be apart of and what kind of danger she will find herself in next.
Tethered Bond is an excellent addition to the Holly Woods Files series. It was a great read; from start to finish. I can not wait to get my hands on the next book and see what exciting new adventures/cases are in store for these characters next!

I can hardly even see straight after having my mind so completely immersed in Emma Hart's "Tethered Bonds" Book 3 in the Holly Woods series. Gah! Seriously, the talent with which Ms. Hart writes humor and suspense is unmatched. This particular plot had the wicked religious twist, and I so love a good religious theme. Especially when it's done as well as this one. If you can't tell, I'm still reeling a little bit. It's one of those books that you most definitely will not forget.
I'm finding through reading Emma Hart, that her mysteries, written with intense love and incredible wit, will steal a piece of your heart that you don't want given back.

Wow!!! What an amazing ride this book was. I have to be honest….I truly think this just might be my favorite Emma Hart book and it even beats out Twisted Bond (book 1 in the series).
Emma Hart has done it again!!! Tethered Bond is the Third book in her Holly Woods Files Series and this book is the reason I fell in love with this series. It had everything mystery, suspense, intrigue, romance, Nonna and a crazy Parrot :) My heart was racing through most of this book. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out how this story unfolded.
I am going to warn you this review is going to be short and vague, because I can't talk about the storyline hardly at all because everything would be a spoiler and this is a story you want to unravel yourself ;)
This book had me guessing and on the edge of my seat all the way through. I found this storyline interesting because I haven't read a mystery/suspense story with a religion based storyline. I thought this was a unique and intriguing story and very well written. I also loved that Emma focused more on the mystery of the story and threw in just enough romance between Noelle and Drake to keep her readers happy. I mean what would a book in this series be without the sassy and smart mouthed banter between Drake and Noelle.
Tethered Bond is not a stand alone book. Just like Twisted Bond (book 1) and Tangled Bond (book 2) Tethered Bond is a complete story and the mystery is solved by the end, but what makes these books NOT stand alones, is the on going story between Drake and Noelle. Each of these books follows their journey and how they handle being in a relationship together. This book will test their bond. Will they come out unscathed or will their job threaten their happiness together?? You'll just have to read the book to find out.
What I loved about this book was we got some more background on Drake and Noelle. We find out why Drake doesn't like Messina and we also find out exactly happened with Noelle in her past in Dallas. I enjoyed watching these two continue to open up to each other and continue to learn how to trust and love one another. There are many times these two characters had me laughing out loud. I absolutely love their dynamic and when you throw in her family, Nonna and a crazy talking Parrot, you can't help but laugh :)
So if you are a fan of Emma Hart, you don't want to miss this book!!! I would also recommend this book/series to anyone who is a fan of a romantic suspense story. If you like a book that is full of twists and turns, mystery, and intrigue…..then PICK this book up, you won't be sorry!!!

3.5 stars. One of the reasons I like this series so much is the wacky heroine. She smart and sassy, with a hint of neurosis. This book gives us a little insight into the reason why. I enjoyed the interplay between the heroine and hero. I would definitely say this is a heroine-centric book. Maybe too much so. My biggest problem with this story is that it is a little over the top for me. There is too much emphasis on cupcakes, shoes, and insecurities, even her beloved family started to get on my nerves a little. The mystery is also not as tight as the previous books. It is crime is interesting, but not that complex and the ending was a little disappointing.

The Holly Wood files series just keep getting better. Noelle and Nash are absolutely perfect with one another. Not only are they in a relationship but they have to work together once again. All the bickering back and forth and then some is so much fun to see. And add a crazy Italian grandmother this book is absolutely amazing.

Another amazing, laugh out loud, suspenseful read for Noelle Bond and Detective Drake Nash!
In this installment of the Holly Woods Files series Noelle and Drake are moving forward with their relationship, and it’s hotter than ever, yet they are still at eachothers throats at work 90% of the time. Noelle is dealing with finding cheating husbands, escaping her crazy grandma and her new parrot Gio, and keeping Drakes ex away from him. She wasn’t expecting to have to work closely with the PD again to solve more murders.
I loved that in this book we not only got the suspense and the “who did it” like we have in previous books, but we really got to see Noelle and Drake working on their relationship and opening up to one another. Even though their relationship wasn’t the focus of the book again, I loved seeing a bit more of them moving forward. It is hilarious when Noelle and Drake fight, he goes caveman on her, and she just keeps on pushing. Everyone knows having them work together is a bad idea, yet they all sit around and watch the fireworks they bring when arguing and not caring who hears them.
The rest of the story line in this book is a bit darker than the previous books. The killings are awful, and there is no rhyme or reason that is easily seen for why these victims are chosen. I was suspicious of everyone in this book that was a new character and wasn’t sure exactly who was doing these awful things to the girls. This case definitely has the Noelle, Drake, and all the rest of the force shaken up and it takes to the very end to figure out who did it.
Along with the hot and sexy scenes, and the suspenseful crime the characters are trying to solve, we also got more of Nonna and the rest of the crazy bond family. Nonna may be a side character, but she definitely lightens the mood of this book when everything that can go wrong seems to go wrong. Nonna is guaranteed to make you laugh out loud, and make you thankful she’s not your grandma. It’s all fun and games when it’s someone else she is torturing, I mean helping, but I definitely feel for Noelle and her brothers for the things they go through with her.
If you’re looking for a funny, hot, and suspenseful story, I highly recommend Tethered Bond. It is book three in the Holly Woods Files Series, and should be read in order, but don’t worry, each and every one of these books is a five star read that you will fall in love with!

If there is one thing that really stands out about this series, it is how quickly each book pulls you in. I'm talking THE VERY FIRST PAGE!!! I always feel like I am living every situation, the characters are a readers dream and the story itself holds the intensity I love from a series. Emma Hart is one of my top three authors, but there is just something so special about this series, I LOVE the direction Emma has taken the books so far and it is definitely up there with my favourite series of all time!
Tethered Bond is book #3 in the 'Holly Woods Files Series and if you haven't read the previous books in the series, you need to get on that...STAT! I love the creativity Emma Hart has used throughout the series, the mystery that is so capturing and even though I do like to play the Detective myself, I still can never guess what is going to happen.
Once again, we are blessed with Noelle, the badass, HILARIOUS, infuriating, sassy, independent, ballsy woman. She literally KILLS ME! If I could be any female book character, it would hands down be her! The woman is AMAZING at what she does, she loves her independence and knows how to use a gun better than anyone! Whilst I love her on her own, I love her even more with Drake Nash!
Oh Drake. Can this man get any sexier? Seriously! He is wrecking me for all other book boyfriends and I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF HIM! I love how he just 'GET'S' Noelle. He loves her crazy, and for that, I just LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM! He still feels this strong need to protect Noelle throughout every situation, bringing out this glorious alpha in him.
The story is full of intense situations and the chase to find out who did it! But what you also get from the story is the next steps in #TeamDroelle's relationship! They make each other burn hotter, they frustrate the hell out of each other and Noelle pushes Drake's buttons and she absolutely LOVES EVERY SECOND OF IT! When these two characters disagree, I get so excited! They are EXPLOSIVE!
The secondary characters bring so much to the story! Nonna is HILARIOUS and with her newest addition to the family, GIO THE BRITISH PARROT, you will seriously be laughing until it hurts!
The love of the family is the beautiful and something that has clearly stood out since the first book in the series.

I don't know how she does it, but Emma Hart has made each book in this series better and better. Tethered Bond was laugh out loud funny. With Noelle and Drake's continuous arguing, Mom and Nonna's constant bickering over store bought or fresh pasta, and, now, Gio, there were times that I had tears in my eyes.
Noelle is the best at what she does. Everyone knows it. Which is why she keeps getting put on cases to help the Holly Woods Police Dept. She's starting to rethink that decision though. While she and Drake make a great couple, they don't exactly get along when it comes to work.
As much as Drake loves his work, he finds it difficult to work with his hardheaded girlfriend and protect her at the same time, especially when she won't listen to him. All he can do is try to argue with her until she gives in (which is rare) or bribe her with cupcakes. Unfortunately, he's had to resort to the latter quite a few times.
I always find myself reading entirely too fast. I tell myself to read at my normal pace, which is usually pretty slow, but when it comes to this series, I. Just. Can't. Do it. I'm sure I've said it once and I'll say it again - This is my favorite series of the year. You put me on a deserted island and I only get to choose one book, I'm choosing this entire series. You'll take me kicking and screaming without them. With it, Emma Hart has become one of my "stop what you're doing and read their new book" authors. She shows that she can give us an enthralling story, full of drama and laughter, sarcastic characters who will argue til the death, and a family that loves each other as hard as they hate. Even though I'm not constantly thinking about this story, it's always lingering in the background with the countdown until the next book in the series. It's just that good. You're left feeling content until the next adventure begins.

Well, pada awalnya aku agak khawatir baca buku ketiga ini, kenapa? Soalnyaaaa drama sang mantan masih berlanjut dibuku ketiga. Tapi rasa penasaran dan rasa cintaku pada H/H mengalahkan segalanya. Dan ternyata sama sekali tak mengecewakan. Diluar super menyebalkan dan tak tahu malunya si (aku lupa nama mantannya Drake, sebut saja kamboja) Kamboja yang terus berusaha mendapatkan Drake kembali, justru kehadiran si Kamboja ini bisa menjadi pembuktian betapa loyal, manis, gentleman dan cintanya Drake pada Noelle. Kehadiran Kamboja ditengah-tengah hubungan mereka membuat Noelle mengeluarkan aksi-reaksi yang membuat semua orang deg-degan.
Explosive chemistry yang terjalin dinovel ini semakin terasa. Aku suka bagaimana cara Emma Hart menjalin chemistry antar H/H dari buku kebuku. Hubungan mereka yang penuh adu urat dan diselingi dengan scene-scene manis tak terduga membuat kisah romance mereka tak pernah membosankan untuk diikuti.
Kemunculan tokoh baru yang membuat pembaca menduga-duga memberikan warna berbeda dari kasus-kasus sebelumnya. Dan dengan konflik yang lebih rumit dari sebelumnya.

First we were Twisted, then Tangled and now we get Tethered in the latest addition to the Holly Woods Files series. Just like it’s predecessor’s, Tethered Bond is a suspense-filled, romantic journey that has made this series one of my Top Picks for 2015. I simply can’t get enough of the Bond family and I anticipate every release!
Noelle Bond is one of my favorite heroine’s with her stubbornness, determination and her badass gene! In Tethered Bond, she’s dealing with her Nonna, a screeching Parrot, her boyfriends ex-fiancée and working a murder investigation but she seems to always find the time to satisfy her cupcake craving. This case is the darkest one we’ve seen yet and we get to learn more about Noelle’s past but she proves time and again that’s she one tough chick!

Of course there is plenty of Detective Drake Nash, ladies. His alpha ways are in high gear…and we all know how well that plays over with Ms. Bond. The banter is hilarious, the sexy time is swoon-worthy and the fights are better than ever!
If you have not read this series then I recommend you start from the beginning and…what are you waiting for?!

I have to say, I really like Noelle Bond. She's tough, smart, strong, sassy, and she takes care of herself.
However, as I read this series, I can see the possibility of it maybe getting stale. Things I loved in the first books are getting a bit old now. Nonna was funny before... now she's just annoying. Drake's over-the-top alpha-male tendencies are making me want to junk-punch him. The cupcake obsession and gun wielding need to be dialed back a little. Are these things enough to make me stop reading the series? No... not yet at least.
I like the idea of a heroine kicking ass and saving the day. I also like that her relationship with Drake seems to be evolving and is not stuck in limbo. I would like to see a little growth in both characters where they learn to handle each other better. The me-man-you-woman shit will get equally as old as the you-can't-tell-me-what-to-do, I'll-show-you bullshit she pulls. It works now, but it'll get just as old as the aforementioned staleness soon. I'd like to see Drake keep her guessing as to how he'll react to her self-proclaimed craziness.
I still see the similarities to Stephanie Plum, but right now, if I had to choose who is my fave, Noelle wins, hands down.

There's only so much sassiness I can handle from a character! I don't know how Drake does it with Noelle, but clearly they're pretty perfect for each other. Noelle is such a feisty character, very driven and head strong and the girl can mouth off. It's like her second job when she's not busy being all detective.
Drake and Noelle's relationship is once again being tested as they've been paired up to solve another crime together in Holly Woods. Even though they bicker most of the time they actually work well together, when they're on the same page that is. I wanted more progression of their relationship. We see glimpses here and there and they've got great chemistry but I wanted them to at one point just sit and talk without the bickering. But then again, I guess that's how their relationship works. Also, I really liked the case they were working on in this story. It was very freaky but really enjoyable to read.

You know what Emma should do? Write a book from Drake's perspective. Oh, the feels. Please do this. I don't know if you are reading this but I want this so much. Filled with action, romance, and angst, it's got me feeling stuff that you shouldn't be feeling. Like crying out of happiness.
Now people, if you want to add onto your book boyfriends or girlfriends, this the series to fall for and you cannot deny the satisfaction from finishing this book. Or this series. I mean, it's just satisfaction when you read a book but the romance is overbearing and you want to gag at it. I love romance stories but this more or less focuses on how two people, despite their differences, come together to solve the shit out of these cases.

She acts like danger finds her but as a private investigator, she finds herself sticking her noses in places she knows shouldn't be there but cannot resist. Menurutku ini buku paling intens dari seri ini so far. Hubungan Noelle dan Drake mulai masuk tahapan berbahaya di mana Noelle mulai berjuang untuk mempertahankam integritasnya setelah menjadi wanita berpasangan. Seperti kita tahu gadis blasteran Texas Italia ini benar-benar badass. Mulut plus 3 pistolnya adalah lawan yang tangguh dan terlatih untuk menghadapi adu argumentasi dari segala penjuru.
Tarik ulur dan banter sarkastik level dewa mereka tetap seru dan tidak menjadi "jinak" dan membosankan seperti pada umumnya novel-novel magical pussy. Drake tetap nyebelin sekaligus ngegemesin di saat yang bersamaan. Sisi emosional dari hubungan mereka sangat terasa dan jadi fokus utama buku ini.

Drake & Noelle return in this action packed adventure, bringing the heat and unmistakable humour that we have come to love. Noelle is as sassy and strong as ever, her quirky one liners, crazy dreams and love for all things sweet had me laughing throughout.
Drake as always is the super hot detective that I fall further in love with, with each instalment.
Emma has fast become one of my top authors, her hot, heavy and humorous writing is addictive and I inhale every word she writes.

This was even sexier than the first two books. I would give it more than five stars because I loved it that much. I can't believe the suspense and action in this book. Noelle and Drake are together and happy. However, his ex-girlfriend is trying to come between them. The ex-girlfriend storyline was very interesting.
I loved the characters. Drake and Noelle have a complicated relationship, but they always make it work. I love the way they help each while solving a crime, or in their lives. Also, they have a lot of steamy scenes. Thank you, SJ, for recommending me this series. Can't wait to read book 4, Tied Bond. Overall, a fantastic read.

*update ReRead September 2016: after almost a whole year this is still one of my favorites! And I think out of the first 3, this is my favorite! Everyone who like awesome sassy heroines needs to pick this series up!!!

4 stars!! This book is exactly what I was in the mood for after my last read. I really enjoy this series! The characters make me laugh with their endless sarcasm and stubbornness. I love the family dynamic among Noelle and all her brothers, and especially her Nonna. And even though the book always contain murder and heavy situations, Emma Hart keeps the tone of the books light and fun enough that I just want to keep reading. #iShipDroelle :)

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! I freaking love how bad ass Noelle is!!!!!!!! My only regret concerning Tethered Bonds is how long it took me to finish it... I'm sooooo looking forward to seeing how Drake and Noelle's relationship will grow in the next book...

This one was a bit slow for me. I love the characters, but it was such a build up and then over on two seconds.
