Zinovya Vasilyevna Dushkova, Ph.D., is a Russian author, poet, philosopher, historian, and traveller. She has been honoured with a number of awards, prizes, and commendations for her contribution to the spiritual development of society, and for excellence in the domain of scientific research into the ecology of consciousness. She is a Fellow of the European Academy of Natural Sciences and the European Scientific Society, both based in Hanover, Germany.

A seeker of ancient truths, Dr. Dushkova has always strived to find only one thing: Love. She has engaged in research in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America for more than thirty years, acquiring the secret wisdom underlying all known religions and philosophies. On her way, lying across mountains and deserts, she has stayed at numerous sanctuaries of various peoples. These include: widely known Buddhist monasteries, following the Mahayana and Vajrayana philosophies, such as Ganden, Drepung, Sera, the famous Moru, dedicated to studying the profound mysteries of Buddhist mysticism, as well as Hindu temples of Vishnu, Shiva, Krishna, and other Saints. However, Dr. Dushkova has also stayed at remote monasteries and secret Abodes hidden in mountains, deserts, and caves in Tibet, Mongolia, Nepal, and India, which cannot be described in any detail. After all, these are the places which have preserved the oldest sacred scrolls and manuscripts, such as the secret Book of Dzyan, from which her famous predecessors in esoteric philosophy, Helena Blavatsky and Helena Roerich, obtained their own wisdom.

As a result of the rich experience of studying sacred texts and communication with wise monks and hermits, since 1997 nearly sixty books by Dr. Dushkova have been published in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, and France. These works are all of a spiritual nature, having been recorded during her travels in the Himalayas, the Karakorum, the Nilgiri, the Gobi Desert, the Pyrenees, and beyond. They reflect a neat synthesis of science, religion, history, and philosophy. Underlying Dr. Dushkova’s poetry and prose, her fairy tales and legends, is a worldview full of wisdom and the cultural heritage of both the East and the West.

The contents of this book expose the journey of this world and mankind. The evolution of human beings engaging both their mind and heart in addition to the battles between darkness and light. There are many revelations worthy of quoting, but I've chosen a couple of quotes, "Light is impossible to hide--it is there for everyone to see" and "The darkness had attempted to block the Light, but her shield was already riddled with holes." How true light reveals and darkness hides and interesting how author Zinovia Dushkova who has translated this gem refers to earth as "she" as we often reference Mother Nature or Mother Gaia. I very much enjoyed this read and find accuracy in our journey thus far !!

What kind of joke is this “book”? I really need to start closely reading the descriptions of discount kindle books.

I am supposed to believe this book (not scroll or papyrus) was read by Jesus and Plato? Even better, it is of some proto-language that connects all languages that special chosen people can read. While it is presented as a translation, it should not sound like a religious text translated before 1950.

Then there are the references to Atlantis in the introduction. Because we all know what people of the maybe fictional, maybe some other destroyed city did or did not do.

But what is most sad about this poorly written collection of simple, myth tales is that it isn’t even original. Frankly, it sounds like a cult.

The moral, dear reader, is question any supposed text protected by a mysterious, occult brotherhood and click your Amazon 1-click button with caution.

"The source of every ancient religion, philosophy and science"

Wow. Incredible. After millennia of human history and millions of the greatest thinkers the world has ever known collaborating and debating and thinking and re-thinking to produce the ideas and practices foundational to civilization as we know it, we now discover that it all came from an obscure book from Tibet with connection to an occult brotherhood. I'm so glad this book is finally here to conclusively answer the most fundamental questions that all of humanity combined just couldn't quite figure out.

Hint: If a book claims to have "secret wisdom" that is the source of everything and the answer to all of humanity's problems, it probably (definitely) doesn't.

Meaningless

The title of this review says it all. There is absolutely no value in reading this. Don't waste your time.

The version of the book that I read was actually only 38 pages long...a translation of 12 stanzas and an introductory chapter. It was interesting how an intricate but pleasant myth was being fabricated. The origin of the world, the description of the library, the material of the books...the details were interesting. The book proposed that only the chosen ones could access the library and even then there was a hierarchy of who could read what and the way the books were arranged there. Purity of heart was stressed. And the moral being taught was that of love. Love is the panacea, a Grace blessed by the divine.

The first third of the book claims to be stanzas from an esoteric ancient book, called Agapegenesis, but there is no proof offered to back this claim. The stanzas themselves are obtuse and do not make much sense, according to our modern scientific understandings.

The second two thirds of the book-the majority of it-consists of a New Age glossary of terms. Perhaps the book may be worth it to have this glossary as a reference.

The book overall is definitely not in narrative form, and the stanzas are hard to follow and obscure.

This book is not only worthless but positively harmful. Full of endless flowery abstractions that can only appeal to a sentimental but unthinking mind, but devoid of intellect and practical value. Despite her credentials I consider Ms Dushkova a self-proclaimed prophet who would like to be ranked with Blavatsky and Roerich, but it would be more fitting to class her with Elizabeth Prophet, another 'messenger' who was a pseudo-occultist and blind leader of the blind.

It was only 249 pages and was an incredible read for anyone who is well versed in the occult sciences or better understood - the mysteries. As with any author at all, there are notions and statements that I cannot agree with, but mostly, I found the book to be well worth the time spent in my studies.

A profound journey into the mysticism of past times, the perils of today, and a fabulous view into what the future can bring. This book touched me deeply, and I will order it in paperback.
I have been mainly listening to audiobooks lately due to an eye surgery that prevented me from reading.

You need to come above the comfort level of your understanding in Philosophy to understand this book. It explains the concept of sun, earth, love, hatred, jealousy and every other universal inconspicuous element that human fails to understand. The complex concepts are compressed in the form of short stanzas. I must say, to read the concepts mentioned in the book, you must first believe in the power of universe and that Philosophy is not a "just" thing. It is deep, deeper and vast than you could have ever imagined; it is as true as you and me breathing at this moment.

“The Book of Secret Wisdom” complements the idea of the most ancient Book of Dzyan, outlining in a concise form the history of the Creation of Life. This book expands consciousness and can provide the initial impulse to start down the path of self-knowledge, while providing an understanding of the Love of the Heart and the essence of Existence, and revealing many Secrets.

the title is illusive and maybe misleading. Madame Blavatsky's influence. The Secret Doctrine would be a better read if you have the time for it.
