A short history of the Jesuit mission for the Potawatomi nation, along with how the Potawatomi got to northeast Kansas and about travelers along the Kansas portion of the Oregon Trail.
Born in 1925 in Pennsylvania, she moved to St. Marys, Kansas, where she was a freelance columnist for the St. Marys Star. Her columns became the basis for her books on the history of St. Marys.
The are better sources on the Oregon Trail but the information on the Jesuit Mission and the little town of St. Marys was interesting but barely scratched the surface. Not recommended unless you have interest in the area.
