Would make a cute book for a clothes or weather storytime... especially for toddlers, I think. A little girl gets dressed for what she thinks it is like outside, but then she opens the door to find out she needs to changes clothes. Of course this scenario keeps repeating. Catchy verse and bright illustrations complete the package (though I wish the actual book was a bit larger in format).

This is a really good teaching book. It stands up to rereading and the pictures are predicitable and illustrate the text.

By far the most read and sung book in our house this past year. Unfortunately, it is no longer in print. Most likely to be 'lost' from the library, but guilt is too strong to 'lose' it.

A great 'end of story time' book. I always choose my shortest book to read last. This fit the bill perfectly while having rhyming text which keeps children listening all the way through to the end.

Feeling a bit sorry for the main character as the weather changes so many times before she can get out the door.
Sunny -> Cloudy -> Windy -> Rainy -> Snow.
Must be Oklahoma to go through so much in just one day. :-)

Nice rhymes and a discussion of appropriate clothing for the various weather.

Then the girl goes out to play and returns to put on her PJs for bed.

A young girl wakes to the sun. She puts on a shirt and pants, ready for the day. Then clouds show up so she puts on a sweater, then adds a scarf and jacket when the winds pick up. Rain begins to fall as she heads out the door, so she goes back inside and adds her raincoat and boots. This would have been perfect, except it's started to snow. So the last thing she adds is her coat and mittens. Finally! She can play!

A little girl wakes up and is ready to take on the day! Upon opening the front door, she realizes that she needs to change her clothes to match the weather.

Cute and quick to read. I loved the greeting to each weather change. It was a great way to pause in the story and have everyone join together to greet the new change with a hello and ASL sign.

Theme: weather
Additional themes: winter, clothes
