Born in England, she was three and he was eleven when their family came to Canada. In a few years, he would be swept into the pulsing generation of peace and love. She remembers how he held her hand walking across College Street on the way to the Beatles concert. Once, he picked her up in the VW and they went to the country in search of the full moon.

These are the moments we remember after someone is gone.

Twenty-five years after John’s death, Jackie serendipitously comes across a box of her brother’s writing. Through his journals and poetry, she discovers the essence of his world, and the love that defined his life.

Conversations For Two moves through fragments of an adolescent memory to the imagery of grief envisioned by the mature voyeur. It is a confrontation of mortality and the black-and-white reality of a death too soon.
