BOOK TWO EXCERPT
I leaned forward the few inches separating me from Sam and pressed my lips to his. I don’t think I’d ever initiated a kiss with a man. Aside from pressing my lips to Sam’s, I didn’t know what to do. When we’d kissed before, I hadn’t put much thought into what I was doing. Forget much thought, I hadn’t put any thought into it. Sam had kissed me and my body had taken over.
There was a moment of doubt. That he would reject me, that I was doing it wrong, before Sam groaned and his arms closed around me. His lips took mine, deepening the kiss, his tongue rubbing and tasting in a dance that stole my breath. He rose above me, sliding me onto the bed until I was flat on my back. My legs spread and my knees came up to grip his hips as I felt his weight pinning me down.
His kiss made me crazy. The taste of Sam in my mouth, the citrus and spice scent of him, his big, hard hands, one on my waist and the other on my face. My hips rolled beneath him, my body urging me on, demanding more even though I didn’t know how to ask for what I needed. I didn’t have to. For the first time I was grateful for Sam’s experience. He knew exactly what to do. He just didn’t move fast enough.
Breaking our kiss, he sat up, kneeling between my spread legs. His eyes, sharp and hot, raked my body, his breath coming in short pants, exactly like my own.
“Chloe, honey,” he said, his voice growly and low. “I need to know that you understand where this is going. That you want this. You have to tell me. I’m not going to take advantage of you.”
“I do,” I said, squirming beneath him, clamping my knees to his thighs and lifting my hips just a little. I didn’t really know what I was doing, or why. I just knew my body needed to move and Sam was so still, watching me. His eyes, flaring every time I shifted, only made me more restless. “Sam, please.”

This story just gets better. A misunderstanding causes some real heartache. Our hero, however is good at apoligies. So the romance continues to sizzle, and Nolan is still MIA.

There is enough suspense, and plot twist that doesn't make the readers bored. I'm glad I read this up, and hopefully the other books in this series don't disappoint.

"Sam wasn’t mine. He’d never be mine. First thing in the morning, I had to leave here and find somewhere else to stay."
Seems things aren't going that well for Sam's.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. With that being said, Alexa Wilder has another winner on her hands. This is the second book in the series and I couldn't put it down. Great plot, wonderful characters, and all the ups and downs a romance novel needs to hold your attention. Can't wait to see what's next.

These 3 short books, make up the whole story, they have to be read together. I can tell they are going to be full of interest. They are fast moving and short. The first 2 books each had 13 chapters and covered about a weeks worth of time. I really enjoyed them and am looking forward to reading the next book.

Book 2 in this series is amazing. We see more of how Chloe and Sam are starting to explore their relationship. Nolan is still missing and Chloe still keeps getting into trouble with both Sam and Axel coming to her rescue. We see Sam as he try's to continue convincing Chloe that he loves her as she steadily rebuffs him because she is scared he's going to just want her for sex.

LOVED this book! I've loved everything I've read by Alexa Wilder so far, and this series was no different. Can't wait until Axel's book! I received an ARC of this book from the author, but I would have read it anyway.

In Book Two of the Courtship Sam’s and Chloes’ relationship continues to evolve and begins where Book One ended. There is love, relationship and danger in this next book. Chloe needs to begin trusting Sam. Still loving the story line, can’t want to see how this trilogy ends!

I cannot say enough, you'll just have to read it.
Yes, I know it's an office courtship, but this one has a twist. In true Alexa Wilder form she brings her characters to life and you can't stop reading. I lost sleep on this one, but well worth it.
