The only way to love a monster... is to become one yourself
Ashlyn's life changes forever one night in a New York City back alley. Just before dawn she stumbles across a grievously wounded vampire. Ashlyn overhears the attackers reveal they're trying to kill her because she's a futanari.
She makes the fateful decision to help the beautiful redhead. Ever since science made it possible, Ashlyn wanted to be a futa. They're despised and persecuted by society, so when she sees one in trouble, she feels compelled to help. Gathering up the wounded vampire in her arms, she hurries home to her nearby apartment, sparing the girl from being burned to ash by the rising sun.
Vampires need blood, and futanari vampires need sex… lots of sex. Ashlyn enters into a Master/submissive relationship with the beautiful but wounded vampire, Musette Vaillancourt, becoming her "pet." Ashlyn becomes a human predator, seducing victims and bringing them home for her injured lover to drink their blood.
But that's only the beginning. Ashlyn enters into a life beyond her wildest dreams. She gets what she's always wanted… and so much more. All sexual fantasies fulfilled. All secret, dark impulses acted upon. Nothing is forbidden to the immortal undead. The rules and laws of mortals don't matter to them. They are lions among the sheep.
But Musette's former vampire master finds out her pet is still alive. Ashlyn can barely contain her jealousy as they are reunited. The appearance of Musette's master brings a dangerous threat, however: the vampire coven Musette's master belongs to.
Ashlyn finds herself fighting both for her life and her love with Musette… and not everything may survive.
Bryce Calderwood is an award-winning, top-100 Amazon author who has been publishing strangely hot erotica since 2015. His stories usually combine paranormal elements with either futanari or BDSM (or both). Bryce likes to explore the boundaries between sex and violence, between pleasure and pain, and between the human and the monstrous.
He lives currently near the coast in North Carolina, where the weather is nice but the landscape isn't and neither are the people. Bryce has been involved in the BDSM lifestyle off and on for many years and is now a very proud Daddy Dom for a darling cute and perverted Kitten.
Every day, Bryce writes smut, drinks insane amounts of black coffee, and grows his beard.
A few months ago I went to see the movie Annihilation starring Natalie Portman(love me some of those sexy smart girls). It was not what I expected. I thought I was in for some cool action popcorn type movie. NOT!! I "What the fucked?!?" throughout the entire movie but also could not look away. It was hypnotic.
Well, that's basically the same thing I got with this book. I thought "OK I like lesbian vampires, so why not lesbian vampires with magical wieners." But what I got was lesbian vampires with magical wieners on 500 gallons of Red Bull and 500 lbs of viagra.
Even though sex(very porny sex) fills about 80% of the book, there is actually a good plot and storyline. These futanari lesbian vampires are not looked upon fondly by other vampire covens. So there are vampires out there dead set on eliminating these blights on vampire society.
I have to say, I have never read a book like this before. It is super violent, WAY magical wienery erotic, and disturbing at times. And yet I could not, for the life of me, look away.
Warning: very gory but the super duper, hardcore sex scenes make the goriness seem "meh" in comparison.
What a perfect read for Halloween night. Blood and gore, great story line and a lot of hot futa sex. This book is not for everyone, so if you don't like to read about violence, blood play, a little gore, bloody sex, futas and their giant cocks and copious amount of cum, then this is definitely not for you. Otherwise, I challenge the dark hearts to give this a try. This story is action packed in all the right ways.
Oh, where to start. Ok, quick version. Ashlyn, has a futanari fetish and wants to become one, but futas are not accepted by society and hated by most. Musette is a futa vampire who was made in secret by a "regular" vampire. Like I said before, futas are hated by most and considered impure if turned into a vampire. So, Musette's makers coven is trying to kill her because she is an impure futanari vampire. Good thing Ashlyn is there to rescue her just in time.
Ashlyn is a really great character and super bad ass. She finds Musette and nurses her back to health. To help Musette recover, Ashlyn does some "hunting" for her and picks off some futa haters. Holy shit, that first scene was gruesome. The blood lust scenes only get more disturbing and awesome. I have to wonder what this authors browser history looks like. I don't know if I would be scared or turned on? Hahaha!
Well anyway, if I say too much more, I might give something away. There is one part in the story that kind of reminded me of Interview with a Vampire and Queen of the Damned. But this story is unique in itself. I promise you, that you have never read anything like this before. These futa vampires are not your pretty, sparkling, angsty teen vampires. Nope, these are some beautiful bad ass bitches with evil tendencies who are out to kill and fuck and live out their darkest fantasies. Why? Because they can!
Have you ever wanted to let your inner demon out? I sure have and have had some pretty fucked up dreams about it. Anyway... back on track with the real vampire shit. There is one part where Musette and Ashlyn are fucking on top of a pile of bloody dead bodies that they just feed on and killed. Oh... that man's hand. I guess I can say that Musette and Ashlyn are using their resources. (you'll have to read it to understand what Im talking about)
The sex is out of this world crazy, bloody and futanari cum filled wickedness. When I read futanari, I imagine Japanese anime porn and this is right up my kink train. Giant cocks fitting in impossibly little holes but it all seems to fit and cum ends up getting everywhere. Its like a bukkae porn! Hahaha!
Overall, Enthralled is really fuckin good. It has a strong story line and I totally love the direction its going. The characters are great, but Ashlyn is my favorite. Her badassery level is empowering and very well done. I feel that Musette could have been a little tougher than she was. I love the blood and gore and the actual portrayal of blood lusting vampires instead of pretty ones with cute little fangs. The writing style and pacing of this book are fantastic and I never once got board or confused as to what was going on. I loved this book and I highly recommend for fans of paranormal erotica and horror erotica.
Erotic horror is often a lot of one and a little bit of the other - explicit erotica with some supernatural aspects, or hardcore horror with some sexually suggestive scenes. Both approaches are fine - I love it when authors embrace multiple genres - but true erotic horror is hard to come by.
Enthralled, the opening installment of Bryce Calderwood's Futanari Vampires saga, is the very definition of erotic horror. This is a sexually explicit, blood-soaked, supernaturally charged, plot-driven novel with fully developed characters. It is intense, it is relentless, and it does not only go where few authors fear to tread, but it also does so with macabre abandon.
These are not the sparkly, brooding vampires of paranormal romance. These are violent, bloodthirsty, amoral creatures . . . undead, supernatural monsters with the power to control minds, move at incredible speed, and more. Feeding is just that, a natural act required for survival, but they do tend to play with their food, as Musette and Ashlyn demonstrate in an orgy of blood and violence the likes of which I have never read before, leaving them naked atop a pile of corpses, before burning down a tavern to destroy the evidence.
One thing that surprised me - and delighted me - is the fact that these vampires are beyond traditional notions of good versus evil. Calderwood does away with the clichés of crosses, holy water, and silver-edged weapons, and ignores questions of the soul as being irrelevant. In fact, there is a beautiful scene where Ashlyn seduces an elderly woman inside a church, tenderly yet erotically feeding upon her beneath the waters of the baptismal pool. It stopped me in my reading, forcing me to walk away from the book for a while to appreciate the whole scene. There are more incredible scenes in the book than I can count, but that one haunted me.
There is so much going on here, so many layers to the story, that I find myself continuously getting sidetracked in trying to wrap my head around a review. Yes, this is fetish-fueled erotic horror, but it is also a story with a strange sort of conscience, building on themes of social prejudices and social outcasts. Where many authors would be content to use vampires as a sort of allegory for social prejudice, Calderwood ignores that altogether and focuses on the very real issues of gender and sexuality. In his world, futanari have been made possible through a series of advanced medical and technological treatments, with clinics established to perform the transformations. They are no more accepted than transgender people have been traditionally, with violent, hate-filled protesters gathering anywhere futanari find community and solace.
Where erotica, horror, and social commentary all come together is in the relationship between Musette (whose coven tried to destroy her for tainting the purity of the vampire race with her futanari nature) and Ashlyn (an outcast from her friends and her family due to her futanari obsession). Their relationship blends the idea of the vampire thrall with that of the BDSM submissive; merges lesbian sexuality with futanari gender transformation; and weaves a complicated web of love, lust, fear, and jealousy that threatens to destroy them. Their erotic scenes are intensely detailed, as one would expect of a Bryce Calderwood story, but it is not just about physical sex - there is emotion, psychology, and more to those encounters. Like the scenes of bloody carnage - with which they increasingly overlap as the story continues - their sex is violent, messy, and incredibly hot.
Of course, I have barely scratched the surface of the plot here, but there is an actual story beneath all the visceral details. Her coven wants Musette destroyed, her Master still loves her, and that drives a wedge between Musette and Ashlyn, even as the story races towards a confrontation that explodes across the final chapters. Enthralled is a book that will leave you just that, thoroughly enthralled, hungry for the exciting diversion of One Good Turn, a standalone story that explores the good Dr. Ashima Safar, and ravenous for the continuation of Musette and Ashlyn's story in the upcoming Revenant.
WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?! And I mean that in the most amazing, story gripping, original plot possible! This is my first time reading a futanari book. I have read vampire novels before, that being my favorite paranormal sector of the genre, but Bryce not only gives you original vampires in this story, he gives you a world so vivid, that you can see it from start to finish. I absolutely loved Ashlyn and Musette and I don't know how else to do this review without giving anything away. Just pick this up, and thank me for it later!!!!!
The book we are reviewing today is Bryce Calderwood's Enthralled, which is the first of a vampire series. I love vampires. I love real vampires, not musty vampires who are oh so conflicted and shit. Give me blood and gore and I'm a happy camper. I am happy to report there are some real fucking vampires up in this shit.
We begin the book with Ashlyn, who hears a bunch of anguished screaming, and a blood red mess falling from the top of a very large building. This is how she meets Musette, who is a futanari vampire. I have to say now, futa girls are not my kink. However, vampires are very much in my kink sphere so I wanted to read on anyway. I don't try to take off points or give harsher reviews to stuff that's not to my taste, because writing is writing. I try to look at the characters, the plot, the writing, and so on.
Anyway, Ash brings Musette back to her apartment and then lures a futa hater back to the place for Musette's dinner. Musette and Ash have bloody sex, and it only gets more trippy from there. I say trippy because at times it felt like I was reading someone's weird blood-hazed, sex-crazed drug trip. This is a high compliment because I was sucked into the story. I could even ignore the futa sex... to a point. Until he started mixing it seriously with the bloodplay, and then I was riveted... bloodplay is one of my kinks, and he hit it really fucking hard. Like so hard, I felt ashamed at my attempt at horrorotica before. ASHAMED. BAD WRITER, BAD. Why? It was sick and fucking twisted and I loved every second of it. This is horrorotica at its finest.
However, because there's always a however, I do have a couple of problems with the book. The first is personal preference, but it's a hard squick so it's hard for me to ignore. When people fuck women so hard their "tummy distends" that is so way not sexy to me. It happened... once or twice, squicked me, and I moved on. It IS, however, a staple of hentai and futa erotica, so if you are reading this book because of the futa-ness, it hits the kink really hard. Ok, actually like really hard, because cum is everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Hell, one of the characters practically aims across the room at another one. Across the room, folks. Personally, I look at that and think, "yeah, I'm throwing three hundred dollars at a cleaning service." Plus, how do you keep your drapes clean? And who washes the ceiling?!
That's a pretty minor problem, ropes of cum aside. Personal thing. The second is a fundamental flaw which doesn't ruin the enjoyment of the book, but rather illustrates a missed opportunity. There's one scene in particular where Ash goes out and kills a couple (yes, she becomes a vampire, sorry spoilers) who she caught making out in like a barn somewhere. It's summarized in a paragraph. However, how it's summarized made me think, "Why wasn't this written out?!" She catches them, forces them to admit their true feelings to each other, and evidently the boy was like, "yeah, just saying I love you to fuck you" or something. Ash kills the boy first, while the girl looks on in neutral approval, and then when Ash goes to kill the girl, she begs to be turned into a vampire. Ash agrees, but then doesn't, and the girl realizes it too late, and dies, unhappy, tortured, and unvampirized. Sounds pretty cool, yeah? It's summarized.
Now, Bryce is one of my better friends, and we talked about this today. He said he didn't want to bore people, but the point I brought up was that it was a complex scene which went towards Ash's character development, basically chopped out. There are three ways you can look at this scene which would have added not just to Ash's development and character, but also the tension in the book, bringing to home the horror of it. Because fuck, who wouldn't want to be a vampire? Be super strong, super hot, and fuck bitches up and shit? People forget... vampires aren't the heroes: they're the monsters.
The scene would have drawn a parallel to Ash's "worthiness" of being turned by Musette. Was it just payment for saving Musette? Was there something special about her? It also would have shown a mirror between the normal "love at first sight" trope and Ash's and Musette's declarations of love. Is that a real love? Can it be trusted? Is it just the high of vampire-ness and hot, dirty, filthy, awesome sex? How can she be sure it's real? Lastly, Ash had felt guilty over killing someone before, and stated specifically she was going out to kill again... to get over her last kill, knowing that later on, guilt will wrack her again. A lot of shows try to show the parallel between blood/killing and drugs, but I think this is truer to it than the drug analogy. There's a vicious cycle that's often mentioned and then forgotten in vampire fiction (that or dwelled on TO DEATH), and I think this would have made Ash a more compelling character. We're riding along on her ride... her highs are our highs, her lows are ours too. I want to see this scene written, and I know Bryce reads this, so I'm telling you now, dude, write it. Add it in. Throw it in somewhere as a bonus. I don't care. I want to see this scene.
Some other complaints is that they fall in LURV too quickly, but honestly, I think it's a blood-high and infatuation. I would love to see it play out that way in later books, and I would love to see Ash realize she threw away her mortal life for something that seemed awesome and cool, but then, whoopsie, eternity with your ex you hate? But I'm just a negative Nancy like that. I also happen to believe villains don't get happy endings. (Forget the fact that I write about villains myself. Goes to show what I think should happen to them, which doesn't bode well for my characters, but I digress.) Besides, both Musette and Ashlyn are young, which lends creedence to my limerence or infatuation theory.
Second, the trope of all vampires are rich and blah blah blah. Yeah, that's there. It's at least explained reasonably well, but it's still there. And.. who wants to read about poor vampires?
And lastly, this goes back to the non-extended scene... I wanted more world-building stuff. There were some really good glimpses of this world, but I'm not sure Bryce thought through all the consequences thereof. For example, there's an institute which cock girls with some high tech bio-grafting technique which costs a boatload of money. Yeah, that biotech wouldn't stop there. People would be modifying all the time, in all sorts of weird shit. And since it costs money, rich folks would be on top of that shit, controlling it, or manipulating it somehow. Maybe they're all secret pervs. Maybe making designer bodies is the new thing.
What about furries? Would there be furries in this world? Would there actual futa catgirls running around? (The stuff of my nightmares, oh, Pocket D, how I miss you so) What about like centaurs? Or minotaurs? Mermaids? Is this where octogirls come from (from another of his books)? I wanna know! Or if the technique can't be used with animal DNA, what about three breasted women a la Total Recall? Double cocks made to fuck pussies and asses at the same time? Multiple arms like Goro? What about the ones that didn't work out so well? Could they be reverted back? Are there gangs of horrible mutants out there bent on murderizing people? (Ok, maybe I'm missing Wes Craven too much, that's more The Hills Have Eyes)
I wanted to see more. And I keep talking about it, which means I really loved this book. Yeah, it's not my kink, but anything that makes me think about it after I've read it, and to such a degree? It's made an impact, and a good one.
All in all, it hits the futa girl kink hard and the bloodplay kink hard. It could have done better with the vampire kink (which isn't bloodplay, not exactly), but it did a good job representing too. It's not sugar coated. It's fucking horror and it's fucking erotic. It's brutal and nasty, but it has its sweet moments too. Hell, I even bookmarked a page in it (and I never do this) because I loved a quote so much:
"All moments pass, my love. That's what gives them their sweetness."
Enthralled unfolds like a mid-90s hentai OAV brought to life: a supernatural erotic tale whose extreme kink is matched only by its unapologetic dorkiness. Bryce Calderwood’s bizarre narrative of blood oaths, biotechnology, and futanari vampires often reminded me of my misspent youth hunkered down in my bedroom as I watched secondhand VHS copies of stuff like Nightmare Campus and Bible Black. Back then, I was grateful that my parents never barged in on me… and Calderwood somehow invoked a similar feeling, often making me wary of friends and coworkers with prying eyes. This is extreme in every sense of the world: an over-the-top orgy of blood and cum, filled with absurd anatomical proportions, impossible feats of sexual gymnastics, and lady-dongs that would make even the staunchest size queen recoil in terror. I’m sure my jaw dropped three or four times while reading this. I’m not exaggerating.
The book begins with Ashlyn, a geek girl and futanari fetishist, stumbling upon the blood-spattered remains of a dying vampire girl… who, as luck might have it, also happens to be a devastatingly beautiful futanari. This is Musette, an outcast from the coven that created her, stigmatized and marked for death because of her “futa” gender status. Naturally, Ashlyn takes her back to her apartment and nurses her to health. This act of kindness, incidentally, ends with Ashlyn and Musette pulverizing some rightwing hate-mongering dickweed into a bloody slush and feasting from his remains. From then on, it’s true love… and the beginning of a blood-drenched sub/dom relationship that plays up all the extreme appetites one might expect from futanari vampires.
Bryce Calderwood is a tremendous writer whose fearlessness, ambition, and dark imagination holds this bizarre tale together. He is the sort of writer who lets his freak flag fly loud and proud, turning in a novel whose extreme mix of dark eroticism and splatter-horror challenges as often as it delights. One gets the impression that Enthralled functions as a repository for the author’s darkest fantasies, a sort of unfettered romp through the deepest recesses of his mind. Of course, I mean this as the highest compliment! I should also point out, however, that this book is also fantastically dorky, particularly when it explores Ashlyn’s otaku identity (she’s a cigar-chomping sword aficionado and amateur artist who specializes in futa porn—where can I find her Deviant Art account, Bryce?). Make no mistake: this is dark, dark stuff… but there’s also enough levity and absurd humor to make the violence more palatable for squeamish readers.
I would be remiss if I did not also mention my one minor criticism of Enthralled, which has to do purely a question of subtext. Throughout the book, Calderwood draws multiple parallels between the book’s persecuted futanari “minority” and the transgender community (even making explicit reference to Caitlyn Jenner at one point). On one hand, I applaud this move. It demonstrates Calderwood’s willingness to humanize and deepen characters who are often presented in these sorts of books as one-dimensional fuck machines with dual genitalia. The analogy functions as a convenient prism through which we can understand the culture of violence and intolerance surrounding his characters’ lives… and yet, for me, the analogy doesn’t quite work. I suppose I wanted to better understand the sort of dysphoria that would lead one to undertake such drastic biotechnological procedures; I wanted to understand the “futanari experience” outside of the obvious genital fetishization (because, as any trans person will tell you, genitals are not the key component of their lives and identities).
But you know what? Don’t listen to me. I’m only bringing this up because Enthralled kinda demands that sort of deep interpretive reading. Because its scope and ambition instantly differentiate it from its more disposable brethren. Because Calderwood’s skills as a writer make me want to probe beyond its obvious tittilations and grotesqueries. That alone should tell you that this is a special book. The kind of book that—yes—is erotic and downright filthy at times, but also thoughtful and engaging in ways that one doesn’t usually find in erotica.
A fantastic 5 star read!…erotic, kinky, action packed and great humor
My first book from Author Bryce Calderwood and holy shit what a fantastic new discovery! This story is packed with out of the box sexual scenes, action, humor and a storyline that keeps you involved from beginning to end! Be aware this is not your ordinary erotica read. This book takes you to a completely different level of the female body and hot, somewhat violent sexual scenes with a twist of a love story, that grabs hold and keeps you reading more. The red bull line is the best! It shows this author’s ability to add subtle bits of humor amongst everything else that is happening in the story. I will be reading more from this author! Thank you Author Bryce Calderwood for introducing me to the world of Futanari Vampires.
I couldn't put this one down. This is the first Futanari book that I have read, however it will not be the last.
Well written with excellent character interaction. Packed full of sex, action, humor. The book is written in a way that makes you feel like you are right there. You get sucked in and don't want to put it down for anything. This is not a book for the condescending or judgmental people. As for everyone else, I would highly recommend you check this one out.
My first book out of my normal soft romance comfort zone. This book made me scared, turned on and crave to read more. This book was so powerful and intense that I cried of happiness, joy and sadness several times. I loved the hot erotic intense scenes the author created!I am hoping to read more about these characters.
This is a story about a woman who has an opportunity to her desires fall into her lap, nearly quite literally. The story takes a fast pace from the very beginning, the author has his foot on the gas pedal from the first sentence. If you love old school manga futanari then you'll truly enjoy the story of Ashlyn and Musette, they live up to expectations perfectly. For all the light hearted, dripping-with-cum sex scenes, this story is filled with blood and cruelty. Make no mistake, these are not your Twilight vampires. They feast on blood and will do what it takes to get it. The characters revel in being vampires. The major flaw with this story is that in order to keep up the recklessly fast pace of the narrative, some things just feel too convenient. It feels like the characters make major decisions too quickly and things go their way all too smoothly. It would have helped to have a little hesitation or some other difficulty placed in their way, something more. One other flaw with this story is the way that Musette speaks. English is not her native language but considering the time that she has spent immersed in the US the majority of her English should be about as good as a native speaker, but instead she is made to be ignorant of the correct tense of words. I've known enough people who learned English second to know that while they may mess up once in a while, it's not quite on par with how the writer presents Musette.
I'd give this story 4 stars. It has an interesting storyline and the characters are satisfying to read. The sex scenes are well written, descriptive, and thoroughly enjoyable. I just would have liked a slightly slower pace, maybe some hesitation on the part of one of the two characters, and for Musette to speak more in line with how long she's been exposed to English.
As an aficionado of all things vampire, I had a pretty good grasp of the genre. I’ve read everything from the original Dracula tale by Stoker to the elegance of Rice. As an aficionado of porn, I’ve seen my fair share of futanari, both animated and live action.
That said, ladies and gentlemen, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet! What Bryce Calderwood has done is drop the aspects of vampirism into a bag, fed in the futanarian mythos, shook them up and poured out this bastard race from hell – futanari vampires.
Since the action begins pretty much on page one I can’t get into any specifics without ruining it for the reader. I don’t want that. I want you to read this book with fresh, clean eyes… because by the time you are done you will feel unclean, despoiled, a little jaded, horny, and – if you’re like me – badgering the author for the sequel.
Seriously. I love all forms of horror. Somehow Bryce manages to make the main characters – Ashlyn, the thrall, and her master, Musette – both lovable and scary at the same time. One moment you want to hug Ashlyn, the next you want to run as fast as you can. Won’t save you.
Buy. Read. You’ll see what I mean. This is most definitely a 5-star performance by Bryce Calderwood. Find it at Amazon at Enthralled: A Futanari Vampire Erotic Romance
If you are looking for a dark erotica, then look no further. Bryce takes us through the blood lust, the crippling guilt and shame, the no-holds-barred sex, and the Underworld worthy action scenes with explicit detail.
Ashlyn loves everything futa; wants to be one. But struggling artists barely make enough to maintain a basic standard of living and so Ashlyn sates her desire by visiting futa-clubs where she gets to have incredible sex with the futas there.
One night, while returning home from the futa-club, she stumbles upon Musette, a futa-vampire who had been left for dead. Ashlyn saves her and brings her to her apartment. What follows is an escalating sequence of love, lust, violent sex, murders, massacres, and a healthy dose of guilt and shame.
The story was gripping enough to keep me engaged. Barring a few minors errors that made me stumble, the book was a smooth read. I'll sure be returning for the next in the series.
(Warning : Book contains s/m sex, blood sport, shades of necrophilia, and graphic violence. Not for the faint of heart.)
This is not a typical vampire love story and I loved it!!! The fast paced story gripped me from the beginning as I was pulled into the highly erotic story of Ashlyn and Musette. Musette is not a typical vampire but a futanari vampire, who is not accepted in the vampire community. Ashlyn, finds Musette in an alley next to a club and their love story begins. The story is filled with humour and extremely graphic feeding and sex scenes. Bryce Calderwood has an unique writing style which pulls you into the story deeper and you cannot help but fall for the characters too. This book is a must read and the original storyline will have you looking at vampires in a whole new light. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
I can safely say this is the first time I've ever read a book like this and I'm totally hooked. The author's writing was crisp and perfectly paced for me, very imaginative. Giving the characters both male/female parts was really outside the box for me and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it! It was done so well and realistically (which is hard to find in paranormal sometimes). I was completely absorbed in Ashlyn and Musette's bloody erotic world, I could not stop reading until the end. The erotic scenes were very creative and just... really, extremely hot. I foresee myself reading this book multiple times. This is the first I've read of this author and I will definitely be reading more from him.
What a ride! This book barrels through like a freight train from the first sentence to the last. The story is well-constructed, interesting, and fast-paced. It's also graphic and messy--so messy I couldn't read it while I ate. Bryce Calderwood has mastered the art of putting unrelated things together in a story, which I love, even when the subject isn't to my liking. I raced through the last third of the book because I couldn't wait to see where it was taking me.
Calderwood is a master storyteller. For all the messiness in the content, the story is tidy and all laced up in a tight package. The writing itself is slick. No fluffy language to distract from the action. Sentences that cut to the chase like Ashlyn's Damascus steel sword.
This was a most unusual book to read! Because the norm for Futanari is a comic type book with bubble text not having the pictures was strange! The nature of the style is so over the top that descriptions of sex and violence are extreme! This allows Mr. Calderwood to let his imagination run wild and create a story that will appeal to a large group of PNR Hentai lovers! Overall I thought the story started ok but was a bit weak in the first half. However, the action and plot gather strength and steamrolls to the end of the book. The series plot is now set and will carry Ashlyn and Musette to new heights of lust, blood, and gore! Will they win through to their HEA is left to the readers to find out for them selves! Enjoy if you dare!
This is not the firt time I have read a Futanari story, but it is the first time I have read one like this one. Though I would normally stop reading a story with so many mistakes in it {gramarically} I continued on becused the story was quite unique. If the auther re-edited it I would have given it a full 5***** I have taken 2** off for the poor writing and the constant missing words. Read it if you are like me and can overlook these mistakes, it is a good story.
WOW! This was like no other book I've ever read. Bryce Calderwood opened my eyes to all new world of reading. This was a fast pace, entertaining down right amazing read. The story of Ashlyn and Musette was unique and hooked me in at the very beginning. I loved the mix of science fiction, suspensed mixed with erotica. It will leave you breathless. So grab a blanket and wrap yourself in this brilliant read. I highly highly recommend this.
I was a little skeptical going into this because quite honestly, chicks with d*cks? But, I loved everything about this book. It had vampires, blood, guts, gore & hot sex. What more could you want? Oh, and fabulous story line as well? Definitely had that. Give it a try if you like any of the things I've just said it has. I highly doubt you'll be disappointed.
This is the first Futanari Vampire book I`'ve read. I have to say it was interesting. I would think everyone should try it once. A lot of sex and violence. May read part two if it is out.
I started reading this and wasn't too sure at the beginning whether I loved it or not, I was searching for Lesbian Vamp stories but this being FUTA focuses less on the Lesbian and more on the added benefit of being a FUTA...but then something happened partway through and it was if the novel all of sudden turned darker. More Gothic, more fantastical (in the good sense), definitely more serious and the writing, the story, the author has me hooked. Very much looking forward the next in the series. Highly recommend his novel by a skilled author who has the talent of placing the reader at the centre of the action. A thrilling read indeed!
