A nice addition to the Plague Wars series. With people infected with the Eden plague being placed in death camps, the state of Texas votes sever it's ties with the US and become it's own nation again because it did not agree with the treatment of Edens. With the Unionists declaring Texas's separation illegal, they are determined to bring it back into the US, at all costs.

A must read for anyone following the Plague War series.

I liked this book as well as more in the series. David made the character come alive, I ether liked them or didn't like them no middle of the road here. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes stories of chaos and changes.

My country tiss of these.

Another outstanding chapter in the Plague War Series, Daniel Markis and his group struggle to come to terms about what their government is doing to people just to push their agenda. Reaper, Spooky and Skull will continue their battles with those who hurt the innocents, ladies and gentlemen, let the games begin.

Excellent story.

Good characters that you care about. Scary story because it could happen without the plague. Don't normally like serials except Kent Family Chronicles, this I like.

Continues well - here we have Skull doing some clandestine work for the newly independant Texas republic, the US war machine getting to grips with the Republic, in a minor way following the Free Communities struggle to become established...

Most of the by now familiar cast put in an appearance.

Keep them coming. I'm worried! What am I coming to do when I catch up to the writers?

Another good read

This series gets better and better. The age old story of power corrupts and how people are easily manipulated. Frightening.

I just wish he didn't write skull as being so ignorant of history. Other than that great book.

Damn good book

Normally the books I read will have a bunch of typos but not David's books. He has an excellent writing style and the fact that his books have action, adventure, horror and romance not only make it easier to read but also keeps you coming back for more. Skull is a necessary evil in a world falling apart but reaper is the hero everyone wants to be.

Ruthless Writer!

This author is RUTHLESS! With a capital RUTH! So many twists and turns in this book it just leaves you shaking your head. This story is like the biggest, scariest roller coaster ever. Now it's on to book 5.

The story line continues and it's a great one. The scenario is straightforward and I believe the characters are well developed. I've read a lot of VanDyke novels and series and this is another excellent book that is both riveting and compelling.

0 thru 4 & 5 to go

This is a really great series. I hesitate to start a series because if its bad it is a waste of time. However this is an exciting series. You get rapped up in the characters and can't wait to find out what will happen next. I just want Skull to make things right and take out Prudence. This study is good reading.
