I love long walks through bookstores/libraries, gothic themes, trash tv, gaming, and almost everything on the Discovery Channel. I am a graphic designer of 7+ years and have worked with books, flyers, posters, social media and everything in between.

"The Demon's Grave" is my first novel, published June 2, 2015. Book Two "Midnight Ruling" was July 2015 & Book Three, "The Haunting" came out August 2015

My previously published novella "Zombie-Killer Bill" was re-released October 2015.

I'm reading more than I'm writing these days, but still adore the chase of a story, whether imagining, or reading.

Pros: Great characters, great story line

Cons: The story doesn't need to end!

Overall rating: Highly recommended!

Impressions: Great book, part of a great series

Review:

Alright, so I got very lucky with this one. I was asked to read this book in exchange for an honest review. I was beyond excited when the author sent me this book to read. I loved the first two and was giggly when the author e-mailed me and asked me to read this book. I read it as soon as I could!

This was a great way to wrap up the two previous books. The characters are well developed and I love how they interact with each other. The chemistry between them, be it good or bad, was great and I wish more books had characters that worked together.

I still have a mad crush on Damien. Until I find a new book boyfriend, he is going to have to settle for me, haha. He is just a great character and I love how he interacts with Nora. They have this relationship that leaves you wondering what is going to happen to them. The ending to the book leaves me hoping that I get to see more of them, to see what happens. I am not going to give it away here, just know I want more!!

The book was not rushed and this author timed things perfectly with this series. She didn't seem to rush things, which meant that if she couldn't get to it in one book, she put it in the next. I love that, because you shouldn't have to rush from point A to point B. You need to flesh out your story and E.M. did that with this book, with the whole series.

If you have not read these book yet, I suggest you grab this one, and the other two, and start reading. I warn you though, you will not get to put them down until you are done. They are that good! I read this one again in one night, like I did the first two.

This was a good end to the series. It was fun to see the new twists and challenges that this group is put thru this time. I loved how Damien even put himself into some of challenges and I liked what he did this time around too. Taking different ideas from classic horror movies and books, he created quite the world and characters. These were probably my favorite things he came up with.

Along the way, Nora and the others find more of their friends...but they also lose some. Secrets also come out at times with some being more surprising than others. With Damien's restriction on Nora using her powers, things get complicated sometimes. Damien also spends quite a bit of effort to try and turn Nora's friends against her. Getting her friends to give her up would make things so much easier than Nora being a willing sacrifice. In the middle of a lot of this is also Neive. She played some important parts here, but her abrupt change of desire at the end was a little off to me.

Joel is still a first class ass, but he also does some things that make him look like a half way decent person. Though when that happens, the feeling doesn't last long. Phoebe didn't grate on me as much this book. And when we find out the role she had been given it made sense on why she was found first by Nora in the last book. Adian didn't show up until the end so for most of the book we're left wondering where he is and what he's going thru.

At first the end was really frustrating to me because it was not going in the direction that I wanted it to. At all. Why can the "bad guy" never win?? But when all is settled and we find out exactly what happened, I was pretty okay with it. I like the idea of what's going to be required of Nora and I'm so glad that nothing bad happened to Damien.

::..Reviewed for Red's Midnight Readers..::
I have given The Haunting 4 stars.

The Haunting is book three and is the culmination of the previous two books and is not one to be missed.
To enjoy this book you MUST have read the previous two or it won't make sense ;)

Nora and her friends find themselves still stuck in the Demon's Grave, battling challenges against the Demon, Damien to win their freedom.

The Haunting was action packed with thrills, suspence and danger at every turn. The twists and turns this book takes will keep you on your toes, as secrets are revealed and questions are finally answered. E.M. MacCallum wraps this series up perfectly, moving the story along at a great pace, leaving no question unanswered.

This is a great series, you don't want to miss out!!!

The Haunting (The Demon's Grave #3) by E.M. MacCallum

Nora is back in book three of The Demon's Grave and this time she is faced with a very different challenge. She and her friends have to stay in a Haunted house and they each must find a ring, or they will be the Demon's forever. Loyalties are tested, secrets are revealed and no one is safe. Will Nora make it our alive, or will she be tied to the demon for ever?

The story moves at an even pace with a lot of action, thrills, surprises and danger. We also learn more about her (Nora's) twin sister and what Nora's role in this scenario is all about. There are some surprising moments, which added some flare to the already intense story. I highly recommend The Haunting to those who love a great (dark) fantasy.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

If you have enjoyed the first two books in this series, you don't want to miss out on this conclusion to what happens to Nora and her friends as they try to find thier way out of the Demon's Grave.

This is packed with just as much action and surprises as the first two books and will keep readers on their toes trying to figure out what's going to happen next, what Damien has planned for Nora and everyone else and how Nora's twin sister plays into everything. MacCallum weaves an intricate web that will keep the reader engrossed.
