The lure of untold riches, travel and potential adventure was overwhelming and David Thomas soon found himself on a flight to Bogota. But things don’t always work out as planned and his casual recce became more than he could ever have contemplated; even in his most lurid nightmares. Events took a turn for the worse when he realised that he was the hunted and needed to get out – fast. Witch doctors, millionaires, henchmen, conmen, lovers and gamblers soon became the norm as he found himself plunged into a world of cocaine importation, espionage, love, lust and hatred as he tried to make his way back home to Liverpool.
