What a great mystery! I love mysteries. I love to try to guess the ending or "who done it". This book had me guessing to the end. I enjoyed this very much. I would read more from this author. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
Interesting little mystery!! Well written, loved the way it played out, mixing the flashbacks and following the different lines. Just enough suspense to keep you reading!
It has some very light Christian overtones, and the intensity level of the action scenes is perfect! Any age mystery lover will enjoy this book!
As an independent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock, this is not my usual genre, but it is an awesome story with great character, so I am giving it a full four fangs!
I received this book as an arc for a honest review. This was a great mystery read. The characters are well developed and the author has a great talent with words so you can picture the small town of St Braeden, MD. I loved the premise of this story, how our lives have changed with technology and NSA making it harder to disappear. It's scary if the facial recognition can be read from any street camera or any public camera to find people. And if that is true why can missing people and criminals not be found? This book kept me turning the pages until the end, great suspense!
Okay, so I love my mysteries... And this book was right up there with the ones I love the most! Each case, each one on the run keeps you right on the edge and sucked in to keep you reading all night. This is not a book to pass up!! I can't recall if I have ever read for this author as I read for many, but I will say, I will continue to read from this author. Authors and books like this are hard to walk away from once you have found a good combination!
Once again Ms Schisler has written a book that I couldn't put down. I have the Kindle version and I was constantly looking at the percentage read to see how much further I had to read to find out what would happen and who did it. Would Melissa survive?? I look forward to reading more new books in the future from Ms Schisler.
Her third book and I couldn't put it down. Wonderful plot and very good writing. You won't be disappointed and if you know the Eastern Shore of Maryland the towns and descriptions are spot on!
Amy Schisler never disappoints me. In this suspense filled novel, Melissa is on-the-run for her life. She has no idea why or who, but someone wants her dead. For two years, she lives a nomadic life, only staying at locations for a short amount of time before moving onto the next.
But, when she returns to the shores of MD, she finds herself conflicted...and falling in love, knowing that staying in one place too long could be dangerous for anyone that she gets close to, but not sure how to explain her fears to her new love....
I totally enjoyed the book and fell in love with the characters. Melissa's adopted parents die in an accident and so she decides to find her birth mother. And then an attack is made on her life - so she begins running. Does someone not want her knowing? Follow her life as she finds love, survives scares which all leads up to a shocking conclusion.
The story line was ok. I’m from the Eastern shore, so it was neat to read about places that I’m familiar with, and be able to know exactly what is being written about. My biggest critique would have to be the numerous spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, missing words, etc in almost every chapter. Did anyone bother proof reading? Because there’s no way you can miss that many mistakes!
This story keeps you hooked from the beginning. The author does an amazing job spinning this tale and keeping the reader hooked from beginning to end. I loved the story, the mystery, and all the characters.
Picture me is a fascinating mystery. Each chapter has a dead body, a chase, gunshots and a women on the run. But not everything is gunpowder, the characters are likeable, the town adorable and Eric's story is heartbreaking. So we have a mix of action, romance, mystery, suspense, this is a perfect read for a stormy afternoon or beside the swimming pool. Highly recommended. *I received a Free Copy in exchange for an Honest Review*
