Problems are handled a little differently deep in the bayou.
A young girl must deliver a message to the Lafayette Voodoo Museum. But it is no museum. An old woman must save her son, at any cost. How far will she go? A lady trying to get home stumbles onto a sacred site. And something wants her to stay. Three short stories with a common thread unfold in the Backwoods.
I was raised in Texas surrounded by books, music, power tools, and creative thinkers. I studied art at Texas State University and earned a Bachelor of Art degree. I design book covers, illustrate children's books and write. Most of my paid writing has been journalism and other non-fiction.
One Good Redneck Mama is my own memoir. It should be good for some laughs and a little bit of inspiration.
Since there are 3 different stories, I will comment on them separately. 1) I was really excited about reading this being based in New Orleans, which was my whole reason for reading it. The only thing even really mentioned regarding New Orleans was the name itself. The ending was extremely stupid!! 2) I thought this story was going to be about New Orleans, but it wasn't. Another disappointment!! 3) This story was the reason I gave it a 2 star rating. It was the best of the 3 and that's definitely not saying too much.
I hate when the description is a better story than the actual story itself. That reels you in to read it, and you're waiting for that thrill from the description and it never shows up!! Such a letdown!!!
