Take My Breath Away: Romantic Suspense

Rate this book
This time she felt it, the luxury of his voice suffusing her chest, and the sound combined with the warmth of his arms, the pointed pressure of his chin on the top of her head, served to romance her.

She’d fall hard and fast for him if she’d let it. But the pain of her mom’s betrayal and what still lay unsaid with her dad stopped her, and instead, she teetered on the edge, her mind warring with the daydream spun around her.

-----

Her mom and dad’s divorce, although it was years ago, still causes friction in nineteen-year-old Hannah Giselle’s life, friction she hopes two weeks alone with her dad in the northern California mountains will help begin to heal.

But her mom’s resentment seems to follow her there, taking a firm grip in the secrets which soon come to light. Her dad had a fiancée she knew nothing about, a lovely woman whose unresolved disappearance quickly turns her already troubled world upside down.

She finds comfort in the arms of handsome local, Troy Lansing. He’s stronger than he knows and, despite his personal doubts, the steady hand she needs. Especially when yet one more revelation tears her life apart.

A clean, romantic suspense for young adults by best-selling author, SUZANNE D. WILLIAMS.

A quick fun read with some deeper undercurrents. Hannah visits her grandmother and stays with her dad. Before she even gets to her dad, she runs literally into this guy Troy- okay, his truck. As she visits with her dad, the truth struggles to come out. A bitter divorce has kept her from getting to know her dad, and as she learns more about him, she also learns more about her mother. A bitter twist at the end will make you go "wow!" Although this book is being billed as teen fiction, it is an enjoyable read for romance lovers of all ages. I was given a copy of this book for my honest opinion.
