Darkness, fear, and power stalk the wilds of coastal Maine.
Kieran Belle has brought his boyfriend, Cory Cooper, home to meet his father's side of the family, the secretive Oisín Clan. Descendants of the most powerful of the ancient Silver mages, the head of the Oisín is known as the Silver Witch.
Plots are not reserved for the bad guys alone. Unknown to Kieran and Cory, Grandpa Oisín the current Silver Witch, and even Kieran's own father are plotting to use them to fulfill an ancient prophecy, and bring forth the Silver Hunter.
Outside the seeming safety of the Oisín compound, the dark forces lead by the mysterious Ebony mage known only as the Master and a dark Alpha shifter plot to destroy the House of Beauty and break the ancient spell binding shifters to one animal form.
Kieran and Cory's love is threatened from within as they struggle for either balance or dominance in their relationship.
Will prophecy or fear rip these two star-crossed lovers apart, or will their enemies rip them to shreds first? What tales will the Spinners tell about the newest Beauty and his Beast?

Kethric Wilcox began writing and publishing as a personal challenge to be creative in a new medium. He was attracted to the LGBT Romance genre after reading several paranormal romances where it seemed like the shape-shifters never faced dangers outside the relationship issues thrown at them by their authors. Thus was born the shifter hunting House of Beauty on the premise of a twisted fairy tale. What if Beauty and the Beast didn't end with happily ever after? Wilcox's Legend of the Silver Hunter trilogy looks at this question and then asks what happens if a member of this family falls in love with a descendant of the Beast, can they find happily ever after or are they doomed to repeat the tale. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Wilcox now lives and works in Little Rock, Arkansas in a house that he and his partner renovated. By day Wilcox is a graphic artist and exhibit designer, and at night an author of paranormal romances.

After reading Tracker, the first book in this series, I couldn't wait to read more about about the adventures of Kieran and Cory as they made it to Maine, Kieran's birthplace and the home of his father's family. The Oisin crew is nothing like the matriarchs of the the House of Beauty, where Kieran's maternal grandmother runs the show and Kieran is to test to become a full Tracker. There, men are treated with no respect; their choices are either a Tracker or servant. Enough about that!
Witch, is so much fun to read. Kieran and Cory are so good together ~ just perfect really. Sure, they have their moments when their relationship gets tested, but don't we all? There's just something about the two of them ~ maybe it's how determined they both are to honor, respect and enjoy their commitment to each other. I loved the scenes when the two of them were having fun swimming at the beach or at the lake and acting like two crazy guys in love in their twenties. Oh yeah, about love/lust ... Let's just say ~ it's smokin hot and of course, full of love and passion as well. Kieran says at times in the book how he wishes he could just be a regular gay guy and live a normal life. When you're in line to be the next heir to the Silver Witch, normal is a relished luxury. Thank goodness that Kieran has Cory and Billy the wolf at his side!
The Oisin family is fantastic! Gramps is the Silver Witch and is quite powerful in terms of Silver magic. He and Kellen, Kieran's father, are pretty obsessed with making sure Kieran fulfills the prophecy to become the next one in line. Uncle Brom is my favorite. He is so kind to both Kieran and Cory. (He's ridiculously hot too!) He is a master at forging magical swords and weapons ~ really, magical anything. Brom is Kieran's closest relative and confidant and their relationship is beautiful. Grams is what a grandma should be! She dotes on the guys, cooks mouth-watering meals and most times, is the voice of reason and smart advice for the whole family. The combination of each of these family members has made Kieran the strong, thoughtful, intelligent and loving young warrior that he is.
Witch also has plenty of action. Chasing shifters, sword fights, ancient rituals and the wrath and fallout of powerful magic makes this story so enthralling and captivating that I had to fight with my kindle to take a reality break!
I'm not going to talk about the end of this book because a) it's not really the end (thank god!) b) it put my stomach in knots and c) you'll have to find out for yourself!
With that being said, I couldn't get enough of this enchanting, mystical and adventurous story. Kethric Wilcox did such an outstanding job with this second installment of this series. His knowledge of folk lore, attention to detail, perfect editing and adoring characters have made this book an easy five star read ~ I'm so looking forward to Hunter, the next in the series!!!! Thanks Kethric ~ truly amazing!

Some secrets revealed and a confrontation years coming
Kieran and Cory continue their relationship in this second book in the series. This story starts off right where the first one left off. It is recommended to read this series in the order it is written. This is not a standalone. This story is the one that shares the history of the Silver witch. The prophecy of a werewolf and a silver witch coming together is starting to materialize and many do not want this to happen.

The conflicts in this story are interesting. It sets up how a matriarchal society can be evil, sexist and cruel. It mirrors several patriarchal groups and exaggerates it. This extrapolation makes that more apparent how corrupt a group of people can become when it becomes so inclusive. There are many things wrong about the Beauty clan, Kieran's mother's family. This story keeps hinting at it but never really reveals it all.

The focus of this story is Kieran and Cory's budding relationship. It is sweet and supported by Cory's family and Kieran's uncle. There is a back story to Kieran's uncle and yet that is kept under wraps too. This story is riddled with skeletons in closets. It seems no one is as they appear to be. As Kieran and Cory plan their wedding, a villain from the first book makes another appearance.

I found this book to be a bit odd. I enjoy the Beauty and the Beast reinterpretation. It just seems there are two conflicting plot lines. Or maybe three. The first is Kieran inheriting the full power of the Silver Witch and this somehow impacts the Beauty matriarchy. Then there is the kinky evil villain who wants to ride Kieran as his personal sex toy pony. Third, the dark werewolves have some plan to take down the House of Beauty. Pulled in several directions, it is not clear for me if they will all tie together. By the end of this story, it is left with a bit of a cliffhanger may convince a reader to immediately dive into the next book. I do want to know how this all ends. This m/m fantasy is recommended to readers who enjoy a fairy tale retold.

Long and unnecessarily filled. Little progress in the story.
This story picks up where the last left off. The boys are on their way to Kieran's fathers' family estate. Once there their relationship really moves forward. But so does their destiny. I found it strange that someone who keeps popping out with saying things like I don't want to be the silver hunter and I want to live a normal life and I'm no going to for-fill the prophecy, Kieran is determined to do everything that's needed to for fill it. Even putting Cory at risk.
I often got so frustrated. What was going to happen got built up and built up, but then nothing happened. For example, the bad guys have set a trap, they get warning the boys are coming, they're staying in the same hotel. We read about what the boys do see, which way they look, and even what they don't see. It goes on and on, but then they're back with Grams. No mention of the baddies putting their plan in action. It's like the author changed the story line, but didn't go back and delete the bits that didn't fit.
Or how people try to kill Cory, but instead of leaving, they just skip dinner, to show they're angry, then it's all hugs and smiles the next day, till they try kill him again that night, and again nothing happens.
I believe this story could be half the length, but still have all the same information.
I want to see the boys get their HEA, if they do. This story is left on a cliff hanger.
If you enjoy long cute scans that have no relevance to the overall story, then you'll enjoy this. I think all the main action in this story could have been shrunk down to two or three chapters and added on to the end of the last book.

Enjoyable read

Liked this book, the characters Kieran and Cory are great the plot is fun though slow paced. The book does end in a cliffhanger, I truly hate those but other than that I did enjoy the book.
