Now, Harlequin Comics is really a comic company I have a love-hate relationship with. Whereas sometimes they release 4-5 star comics, they release just as many 1-2 stars and this is where this sample falls under.

None of the comics within this sample really got my attention, and it's a real shame. These authors have talent, the story lines all seem good. But they're not great. They feel like a washed out manga romance and it infuriates me. These authors have the talent; yet they seem to waste it with pitiful comics. There is so much that could be done with these yet it's not done.

I'm definitely interested in the authors, but there isn't enough in this sample to make me wanna buy any of the books. A real shame.

I'm not entirely sure why I downloaded this truthfully. I read the first volume and there were maybe two books out of the five that I wouldn't have minded reading as a full book but then I checked out the prices and decided not to because I'm a tight arse where books are concerned and will only pay if I really want to read them. And I've read enough Mills & Boon/Harlequin books in my life to not really want to.

In this I think that there was only one that I would want to read as a full book and if I can figure out which one it is and check out the price, I'm sure it'll be the same thing...

Nevertheless they have nice artwork.

I'm not going to download any more of these free previews.
