*Sighs....* I don't think I can summarize my thoughts towards this awesome memoir any time soon; suffice to say I love it, and would like to read it again someday (there are books you'd be okay with only ever reading them once; it's not that you don't like them, you just wouldn't care to read them again when there's still so much more to read, and then there's books you'd somehow just like to reread it... this book is like the latter for me =D)
I had not heard of the author prior to coincidentally finding the edition (I later borrowed via my local library) on Goodreads, it was totally by chance that I discovered this book with an insight during a specific era. Love all the food! Officially contains 12 recipes, though there are more descriptions of preparations for certain dish within chapters.
