I came across this story while scouring for new reads. It's a known fact that I'm a "judge a book by it's cover" kinda' gal. The cover captured my attention, thus ending with a very interesting book description.
I quickly jumped at the chance to read this story by this author that I've never read before. I loved it. I love stories that have supernatural elements, and I can say, this one has a lot.
I became engrossed in this story from the first page to the last. I will definitely be looking for the other books in this series. I love all stories with vampires, witches, angels, and the list could go on, but this one is about a wolf clan, and yes, this means a pack of werewolves. I was just happily estatic about this. I was saddened when I completed this story, but I will be happier once the next few books for this series is out.
As a reader, I enjoy stories that have romance, intrigue, suspense, and other components. This story had those, as well as, some extra. I loved this author's ability to capture your attention to details. Her world building of this story could easily transform you into her world. She has a great, creative ability to create a story for you, that will lead you deeper and deeper into it. In simple terms, makes you a part of it.
There are many twists and turns that leave you with questions, that will hopefully be answered in future books of this series. The plot and pace of this story was smooth and steady, and fast as action occurred, and boy, let me say there is plenty.
The characters, themselves, were done in a realistic way, that made you either, love them or hate them, and some that had me questioning them. Regardless, they all showed emotions, as well as, made me feel theirs as if I was there.
The story line was an interesting concept. It definitely appeals to my curiosity. There is so many options to where this series is going and that in itself, just tickles me.
I would definitely recommend this story for all readers who loves werewolves, and the supernatural elements. It's a great story, and I will most definitely be reading again for my enjoyment.
So take my advice....get the book and read it...then you decide...
Very complex story, set in a very complex world, with very complex characters. It was exhausting and I ended up skipping a lot of pages. The H meets the h, knows she's the one but still has steamy times with another woman. I didn't like this much and there was a hint of another guy wanting the H too. It felt as if the author just kept adding more and more just for shock value. The characters all had tragic lives, enormous guilt, the h wasn't going to accept the H because she's not good enough for him. An all too common plot device.
