Eroticist, environmentalist, and pastry enthusiast Giselle Renarde is a proud Canadian, supporter of the arts, and activist for women’s and LGBT rights. For Giselle, a perfect day involves watching a snowstorm rage outside with a cup of tea in one hand and a chocolate truffle in the other. Ms Renarde lives across from a park with two bilingual cats who sleep on her head.

The best way to keep up with Giselle's career in erotic fiction, as well as her desirous commentary and hyper-analysis of every facet of social existence, is to visit her Donuts and Desires blog at http://donutsdesires.blogspot.com.

A collection of short stories. Some are sweet, and some not so much. Overall 3 ⭐

Mentioning only the stories I liked.

I want to give a special note to "Going to the Chapel", in which a lesbian couple is late to their own wedding because

The first story, "Flash Freeze", about running into a former coworker the MC parted with on painful terms, was also cute, and as someone who fell in love over the internet (and eventually married the person), I loved the lilting poetry of "Even If."

I really hate to give one star ratings but unless you are trying to break some kind of reading record do not bother with this book
The stories are neither sweet not interesting (with the possible exception of "To the Chapel")

The stories in this collection are engaging, heartwarming, and beautifully told. Each story features well-written three-dimensional and compelling characters engaged in finding their happy endings. Diversity within the LGBTQ umbrella is also represented, with stories that feature women of different races, trans women, and women who are asexual. I couldn't wait to read each story, and the stories pack a great deal of emotional resonance long after I stopped reading.
