Kendall Shaw loves her job as a boudoir photographer. When she enlists hot, gorgeous, 100% alpha male, Jase Burns for a custom photo shoot for a romance novel cover, she quickly discovers that he only took the job to get close to her. But her painful divorce has made her wary of men, and especially one who is eight years younger than she is.
The moment Jase sets his sights on beautiful, sexy Kendall, he wants her. Despite their mutual attraction, she's rejected his every advance. But Jase loves a good challenge, and one steamy, seductive night at The Players Club changes everything between them.
Kendall has never experienced such overwhelming passion, or been pursued so tenaciously. Jase is addicting, in every way, and she soon finds herself falling for a man who doesn't fit into her ideal future.
Can Jase convince Kendall to let go of her past and take a risk on a second chance at love—with him?
He lifted his head and stared at her face, his jaw clenched tight. The unrelenting determination in his expression made Kendall’s heart race showing her a different side to the flirtatious male model who’d been nothing but charming and playful in her studio. This man in front of her was in control. Sexually assertive. And shockingly intense.
Erika Wilde....you are officially my favourite author now. I love the way your books make me feel, from the swoony romance to leaving me hot and bothered with the sexiness of these dominating and charming men and their equally sensual women. I know if I’m ever stressed out, I can pick one of your romances and just relax and enjoy. This book was just as good as the others and I’m sad there’s only one more book left in the series. At least I have many more to catch up on.
Jase burns was instantly attracted to Kendall the moment he saw her at a wedding where he was working as a security detail. He is left surprised when she actually turns him down the first time he asks her out so he does what any man would do, he accepts her offer to model for her just to get close and seduce her. He knows the attraction is mutual so it’s only a matter of time till she agrees. I loved his tenacity and how charming he was without being pushy and when he upped his game, I was damn impressed.
Yes, Jase Burns was the epitome of hot. Everything about him radiated the kind of sweltering heat that made a woman—Kendall especially—soften and melt in all the right places. And that was with him fully dressed. Once he peeled away his shirt and jeans and she had free access to stare at his perfectly sculpted body, it was difficult to keep her mouth from watering and her sorely neglected female parts from perking up, as well.
Kendall is always left hot and bothered whenever around Jase, especially when he’s posing for her with just his briefs on to be on the cover page of a novel. She’s an boudoir photographer and a really successful one. The reason she resisted him was because of the age gap with her being 8 years older than him and also the insecurities her ex husband left her with. So when she ends up being bought by him for a single night at the players club, she is genuinely surprised. What’s the harm in spending one night together, maybe they’ll be to get out of each other systems.
The vision they each had for their futures might be years apart, but this was the one place where they were always in sync. The one thing that felt so perfectly right. This intimacy between them. The way she gave herself over to him so completely. And how calm and content he felt when he was with her.
They both know there goals and dreams are not on the same page which is really disconcerting because they could the one for each other. So when Kendall suggests to just have a sexual affair, Jase accepts it but with a plan of his own to try to make it more.
”If your mouth is going to be on my cock, then you know what I want, don’t you?” She understood and nodded jerkily. “You want your tongue on me at the same time,” she said huskily, her eyes gleaming with a secret kind of thrill. So prim and proper with her reply, when he wanted the dirty version. He gripped her hair tighter in his hand, until she moaned softly from the edge of pain he inflicted, and brought his face closer to hers. “Where, exactly, do I want my tongue, sweetheart?” Her lips parted on a soft, aroused exhale. “On my pussy.”
I loved their sexual chemistry as much as the genuine connection they had. It’s no surprise the intimate scenes were super hot, they just keep getting better with each book although the BDSM was on the low but still just as filthy. I don’t get how the author makes the men charming and oh so domineering at the same time. I blush every time with their dirty talk and I loved how brazen Kendall was too.
The romance was the sweetest too. They both had been hurt by someone close to them. I liked the fact the author kept it real and without any unnecessary drama. Both the characters were mature and understanding. I was rooting for them since the beginning.
The reason I didn’t give it a full five star was because I wanted them to overcome their issues a different way instead of the twist the author gave which was slightly predictable. I still think the author did a pretty good job of making it seem genuine.
If you love a feel good romance with an older heroine and a delicious alpha, I highly recommend this book. ♥️
The Players Club is a really fun series—and one I always enjoy re-visiting when a new book comes out. It’s sexy (read: thigh-clenchingly sexy), it’s light-hearted and it’s a really great way to spend a bit of downtime…even if it gets you worked up.
After the surprising and devastating end to her marriage, Kendall Shaw is finally at a good place in her life. Her photography business is doing well, and she’s ready to try love again. Just not with Jase Burns.
He’s not only younger than her but they’re just in different places in their lives—and Kendall doesn’t have time to waste. She’s determined to keep him at arm’s length, but Jase isn’t the type to take a step back, not when it’s something he really wants…and he really wants Kendall.
Excuse me while I turn the A/C back on. It’s getting hot in here, and it’s all because of Jase, and his dominant, alpha ways. I loved this guy, seriously. He was hotter than fuck when he was taking Kendall at the titular sex club, and he was sweet as hell as he was trying to convince her to take a chance on him, on them. Whew. If it’s an older woman you’re after, Jase, SIGN ME UP.
Playing with Seduction may actually be my favorite of this series so far. It was nothing terribly taxing—it’s most definitely angst-light—and maybe even a touch predictable, but it was so well-written, and the characters so likeable and relatable, it’s hard not to fall in love alongside them, and hope for a rewarding happily ever after.
As always, when I finish one of these books, I am already geared up and ready for the next one. There are still friends within the core group of women that need to get that heavy white envelope presented to them, and there is one certain partner at the security firm that I’d like to know (a lot) more about. As such, I’ll be ready for another sexy good time when the next one is available. ~ Beth, 4 stars

Something a little different with it being an older female MC and a younger male MC. A quick and easy read that had everything from self-discovery, to acceptance, to being pushed out of your comfort zone.
4.5 stars I really love when an author can step outside of what is "the norm" of a series and in Playing With Seduction author Erika Wilde does just that. While her characters spend one memorable night at The Players Club the rest of the book takes place away from the club and even though they still explore a bit of kink that isn't the focus in this book. That's not to say this book isn't as sexy as the others because it absolutely is and just because the hero is almost a decade younger than the heroine he proves he's up to the task of taking care of all of her needs.
Boudoir photographer Kendall Shaw has some emotional baggage and despite her attraction to security specialist and part-time model Jase Burns she repeatedly turns down his requests for a date which leads him to get very creative. I love the way Jase pursued Kendall and the way he got her to open up about her past and her hang-up with their age difference. While she was adamant about them having a fling, Jase was out to prove he was worthy of more of her time.
Watching Kendall discover her sexuality fully and become comfortable enough to not only share her fantasies with Jase, but also learn to ask for what she wanted was a thing of beauty and Jase had no problem giving her everything she wanted and needed sexually.
Their relationship had some very real growing pains given their age difference and backgrounds and I'll admit it was a little difficult seeing two people who obviously cared so much about each other struggle with the decision of what they each wanted and where they were headed.
Deliciously sexy, but not without some heavy duty emotions Playing With Seduction is an excellent addition to this series.

Welcome to The Players Club where Kendall Shaw has agreed to be auctioned off as a plaything for the highest bidder. In the third story in her series, author Erika Wilde delivers a steamy tale in Playing with Seduction.
In her regular life, Kendall Shaw is feeling “less than” everything. She has survived a divorce, but her focus is currently on her career as a boudoir photographer. She’s intrigued by Jase Burns, but resists all of his overtures.
When the invitation arrives for the charity auction, Kendall finds herself ready to throw caution to the wind. Expecting a night of pleasure, she has no idea that the man she ends up with will be the very one she has resisted. For Jase, a night with Kendall is simply the beginning. The hard part is convincing Kendall that they can have more than one night together.
From start to finish, the chemistry between these two characters is sizzling hot. Even before they hit the sheets, it is clear that there is some serious heat in play. Add in The Players Club and all its naughtiness, and readers are guaranteed at least one night of scorching hot, no-holds-barred sex. When the sun rises, the only question is whether Jace and Kendall are playing for keeps.
The heat level is balanced by the storyline that continues development well beyond that first encounter. The characters are faced with some pretty heavy challenges, but the author delivers them in a believable way. I’m on board with Erika Wilde because she always delivers a solid dose of sizzle!
Meet Kendall the boudoir photographer who really got a raw deal in the marriage department. After 10 years of waiting and planning for the family she always wanted her ex decides that it would be best for him to have his HEA with Barbie the nurse. Really … Barbie (this is where I paused and imaged what I would do to the nurse named Barbie). This book contains a bit of the taboo (the older woman with the younger man) and frankly it works for both characters. As the reader, I can sympathize with gun shy Kendall and her cautious behavior when deciding whether to take a chance at love once again.
Jase’s character is the correct man for the job. It's like the author had a checklist when creating his character and all the right boxes are checked. He is tall, well built, a gentleman, looks good in a pair of underpants, ex-military, compassionate and most important Kinky. I like that he knows what he looking for an pursues his target. Like the heroine, Jase has his own history that has played a role in how he is living his life. Both characters are really good for each other because Jase can teach Kendall it is okay to explore all aspects of yourself with confidence. Kendall can teach Jase that life cannot be lived on a schedule and it is okay to just let it happen.
In the end, book three of the Players Club series is an easy, breezy read that is full of passion and discovery. Playing with Seduction is an entertaining read.
Overall rating is 3.25 - 3.5.

Kendall and Jace are just as spicy as the other player club couples. 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 They meet by chance through another bodyguard friend, and the chemistry is instantaneous. Kendall is very reluctant bc she’s older and wants and spouse and child while Jace isn’t completely settled and ready. I like their story, and felt there was no huge problem that they had to overcome compared to the other stories. I did like they ended up together in the end.
Worth the read?: YES Reread?: NO

PLAYING WITH SEDUCTION is the third full-length installment in Erika Wilde’s contemporary, adult The Players Club erotic, romance series. This is security specialist Jase Burns, and professional photographer Kendall Shaw’s storyline. The Players Club is an invitation only, exclusive sex club in the San Diego area. THE PLAYERS CLUB series is a spinoff from Erika’s erotic romance THE MARRIAGE DIARIES series.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Jase and Kendall) PLAYING WITH SEDUCTION follows the slow seduction of Kendall Shaw by Jase Burns. For several photography sessions Jase (who is eight years younger than Kendall) has been one of Kendall’s models for a romance cover shoot and has figured prominently in all of Kendall’s fantasies. Jase has been desperately trying to get Kendall to acknowledge their attraction to one another but Kendall has turned down Jase at every opportunity. Following a ten year marriage that ended in divorce, Kendall is ready to settle down and start a family but Jase isn’t ready for a future with a family and kids. What ensues is Jase’s seduction of Kendall for a friends with benefits /casual arrangement that soon turns into something more.
The relationship between Kendall and Jase is one of immediate attraction; a sexually palpable energy with plenty of insta-lust, sexual situations, and an invitation to the Players Club where Kendall discovers that the man who stars in all of her fantasies is the man who will bring out the sexual side she thought lost and dormant. The $ex scenes are passionate and sensual although tame in comparison to some of Erika’s previous storylines. The Players Club does not figure prominently in the series or storyline but is a point (and place) where all of the stories connect. The secondary characters include the previous storyline couples as well as the introduction of a man whom Kendall met on-line and believes could possibly be her future husband and mate.
The world building focuses on Kendall’s boudoir photography business, as well as the sexual awakening of our leading heroine. Kendall’s dreams of a husband, children and family finds our heroine placing a time frame on her relationship with Jase believing at some point, he too, will get bored and pushing her away. Kendall’s doubts and anxiety about their age difference plays a significant factor in the relationship dynamics for our heroine.
PLAYING WITH SEDUCTION is a quick and enjoyable read; a story of insta-lust/love where two people with different objectives find a future with one another. The premise is engaging, promising and enjoyable; the characters are impassioned, cleverly written, and inspiring; the romance is seductive. The happily ever after is not unexpected but I will add that the rush to the finish is a little disappointing and too predictable. I wanted a little more angst and drama.
I love Erika Wilde's stories, but there wasn't much to this one. Actually, Kendall got on my nerves with the "I'm too old for him" bit. She's 35, and Jase is 27, but the way she acted, you'd think he was only 18. I get that she was wary after her divorce because her husband really was an inconsiderate, unfeeling douchebag. But that Jase--he's hot, sexy and really something else!
My pet peeve--It irks me when someone is so deep in denial or so resistant about the way they feel, they actucally shove you in the direction of someone else when you've made it abundantly clear that you have no feelings for that other person. They tell themselves that they actually know what you want because, for whatever reason, they can't have you themselves. It turns out Jase wanted nothing to do with other women because he only had eyes for Kendall.
Anyway, Kendall wanted to have a little fling to get herself back in the game, and then she could focus on finding someone compatible for marriage and a family. She decides it would be better to do that with a stranger rather than get involved with Jase. 🙄🤦🏾♀️ Hah! Such as it was, Jase was NOT having it. He made sure to derail Kendall's plans because the idea of her getting it on with someone else was not gonna sit well with him. Even after she finally gives in to Jase and spends the night with him, she still tries to find a way to make this about their age and him not being the "forever" kind of guy. She sets out to find that "compatibility" that she's looking for but she can't seem to forget Jase and that hot and steamy night they spent together.
It seems to me like Jase was so much more understanding of Kendall's reservations about their relationship and was upfront and honest with her. Kendall, so intent on finding someone to settle down with, didn't really try to understand why he may have been a little hesitant about "forever." Jase knew he wanted more, but he wasn't quite sure about the whole marriage thing. Being raised the way he was, I could definitely understand why he didn't want to put a child through that, or risk having them feel the way he felt growing up. Maybe if they had spent more time really getting to know each other, some of these things could have been sussed out. But with the story being so short, these little doubts only served to cause ridiculous conflict in their relationship.
My other pet peeve--not allowing the person you're in a relationship with the opportunity to make an informed decision; you just decide for them, never giving them a chance to either make you happy or disappoint you. That's what Kendall does when she drops her little bomb on Jase. She just decides for Jase, and he's so stunned that it gives Kendall the opportunity to flee while at the same time not giving Jase a chance to come to terms with what she's just told him. I think that since she was so quick to keep pointing out their age difference, its only right to say how SHE was the one being so immature and messy about everything.
All in all, Jase was a good guy, and had she given him a chance, Kendall would have come to that conclusion sooner. I really wanted to like Kendall, but for a 35-year old, she still had some growing up to do.
Playing With Seduction The Players Club series book #3 Release Date: October, 19 2015 Review copy provided by the publisher
You know when you are unwrapping a gift and you just have this instinct that it's going to fabulous? Well, that was me when I opened this book on my iPad! I knew the writing was going to be brilliant, the characters likeable, some angsty stuff that tugs at your heart, and enough sexy times to satisfy the hedonist in me! But I was blown away! I knew I'd throughly enjoy it, I love Erika Wilde's writing but I wasn't prepared to love this book this much!
Jase and Kendall have this explosive chemistry. Seriously, it burns out of freakin' control! He wants her something fierce. But Kendall is weary, and rightfully so. Her ex husband cheated on her with a much younger woman, and got said younger woman pregnant. She isn't prepared to let an 8 year younger, Jase get under her skin. Well, that was what she kept telling herself. I love how Jase pursued her. No holds barred, went after her like his life depended on it. Yes, he was a little devious in his initial plan of attack, luring her to The Players Club, but the results were delicious! I was happy when Kendall decided to let him catch her. She had to guard her heart, but I like how she didn't play any games. Sometimes I find myself getting frustrated when there's too much of a chase. I don't think giving in too easily is necessarily the answer, but Ms. Wilde kept the story moving and didn't dwell on making Jase beg.
There's all this stuff that has the potential to keep them apart, to keep them from taking their fun and sexy times to the next level. She's ready to settle down and have some babies. He's just getting acclimated in a new career and building his nest egg. Opposite ends of the spectrum really. The things is, love doesn't give a shit what your plans are! It'll grab you by the throat and make you do things that you didn't think we're possible. There was so much raw emotion in this book. I got a good sense of each of their insecurities and desires. That right there is brilliant story telling! I could hear what was going in their heads without actually having the character say it. The writing is that potent. The moment when they both decide ( or are given a nudge from an unexpected surprise ) to just throw all the logical " reasons " on why they can't be together away, it was like the clouds parted and the lump dislodged from my throat!
I'm not even gonna lie, I wouldn't kick Jase out of bed for eating crackers! Seriously, the man can rock sheets like a fiend. The love scenes were nothing short of drool worthy. Like, I can't wait until my hubby gets home kinda hot! Gah...Jase has a filthy mouth that'll make you sigh and your heart thunder! Phew! So ya, this book has all the good stuff!
Like I said, I knew I'd like this book. Erika Wilde never disappoints, in my opinion. But to say that I adore this book, this series actually, is probably more accurate. There are some fabulous secondary characters that I'd love to see get a book! I'm not ready to let this series go yet! So, Ms. Wilde, that was my not so subtle hint to write more, pretty please!
Playing with Seduction by Erika Wilde Book #3: The Players Club Series Source: Netgalley and Purchase My Rating: 3/5 stars My Review:
Jase Burns is taking a lot of crap from his co-workers. Sure, he’s good at his job and likes to play just like the rest of the men, but Jase is the only one among the group who has taken up modeling. Jase will continue to take the crap as long as it means he can keep seeing Kendall Shaw.
Kendall Shaw is in her prime and she is looking for forever. Her boudoir photography business is booming, her circle of friends is tighter than ever, and she knows exactly the type of man she is looking for and Jase Burns isn’t that man. Oh, sure, Jase is hotter than hell and willing to model for her but he’s far, far too young for her. Kendall has already been traded in for a younger model once before and she has no interest in a younger man who will most assuredly get bored with an older woman and trade her in. Her best bet is to get Jase out of her system, continue on with her search to find the perfect man via the online dating world, get married and have the family she has always wanted.
Um, Jase isn’t OK with Kendall’s plan and though he isn’t quite ready for the whole marriage and kids thing, he is interested in more than a one night stand. First up on his plan of seduction, show Kendall what sex with him can be like and then maybe, just maybe he can convince her to stick around for something more than just the physical. The night of seduction at the Players Club goes beyond well and Kendall is on board with a friends with benefits arrangement but she makes it clear, Jase is far too young for her for the long term and once the fun is done, she’s going after her forever man.
Um, Jase still isn’t OK with Kendall’s plan . . .
The Bottom Line: I’ve been a fan of Erika Wilde since the beginning of the Marriage Diaries and I have loved pretty much every read since that first book. That is, until now. For the first time, I’m only OK with an Erika Wilde read and I think it is because of how short Playing with Seduction is. Jase and Kendall’s story and relationship simply goes too fast and doesn’t have enough time to really unfold as it deserves too. We’re talking speed of light fast, folks. Jase is such a good guy and I would have really liked to have a lot more of him and his back story. Hell, I would have liked even more of his current story. Kendall is just an alright character for me and though I understand her hesitation to be with Jase, her protestations and excuses wear thin after a while. The sex is quite good as always and Jase is quite good but Kendall is a no-go for me. At the end of the day, two out of three ain’t bad and that gets me to three stars. I sincerely hope Playing with Seduction is just a bump in the road (nearly every series has one) and the fourth book will be back to the standard I have grown accustomed to from Erika Wilde.
This is the 3rd book in The Players Club series. It’s an older woman/younger man story that is just too precious.
I really enjoy stories where the characters pretend date or have a non-committal affair that has a time limit. They always fail…lol. The feelings are there from the beginning and the more time spent in each other’ s just expounds on those feelings.
this is sensual fun and fascinating to watch unfold. We have the older woman in Kendall who was burned by someone. She worked hard and thought that it would pay off and she would get her dream of a family at the end only to get tossed aside. This left her feeling very distrusting and alone. Now she has worked her way to becoming someone and wants to settle down and have children but only with someone of similar ways. She doesn’t want to join in the dating pool and find someone so she goes online. This cuts out the getting to know if they are compatible because the site does that for you.
Meantime her world is in a tailspin because of the young sweet and gorgeous Jase who wants her but due to his childhood has a set plan and doesn’t want to deviate from it. He does though feel drawn to Kendall and wants to get to know her and become more with her.
She resists him at first but he does wear her down. She sets it though so it is only friends with bennies and over time they will stop because she doesn’t want to get hurt and wants a family whereas he wants a family but not right away.
As they go on this wild sexy adventure they get to know each other and see that they are alike in many ways. Not only do they get to know each other’s bodies they fall in love. For Jase he begins to see that he wants Kendall and is starting to believe in watching his plans. For Kendall it causes her to panic because of Jase’s age and his not wanting a family right away. When they do walk away it was Kendall asking for the space and when something unexpected occurs she controls how everything will happen without giving Jase a chance to say anything.
He does though. He gets her to see him and his desires and they get a great happy wonderful ending. I like that we have two strong characters whose lives have had detours. One decides to structure their world and the other work hard and than go after their desires because they are now established. They find each other and succumb to the attraction only to have their world turned upside down and that is a good thing. they have to learn that life isn’t always structured or follows a timetable and that love comes when you least expect it.
A wonderful set of characters that bring you on a sexy ride as they see what love does to their world and how it makes them better.
Another solid book in the Players Club series, this time we get Kendall and Jase, who first met each other in book 2 (Playing with Pleasure). Kendall has learned to move on after her disastrous first marriage, and at 35 she is looking to settle down and start a family, and while she is attracted to Jase, she feels that with him being only 27 he is nowhere near ready to settle down with a family.
As for the characters, I both felt bad for, yet admired Jase. Here is a man who was born when his parents were well into their 40s and past the whole parenting a child bit. He was pretty much an afterthought to his family, and I can't even begin to imagine how that could affect someone psychologically. But he didn't let that define him as a man, so props to him for making something of himself.
I had a harder time with Kendall; I get how she was affected by her first marriage, he was a top-notch douche, and the way he left her was seven kinds of wrong; but what I didn't get was why did she keep trying to keep Jase at arms' length because of his age? She kept pushing him away, but the guy she met online and dated a few times could just have easily left her for another woman like her ex-husband did, so that didn't make sense to me. It seemed like she was belittling Jase and his feelings instead of just talking to him about it.
I do wish the ending had been different; Kendall dropped her bombshell and didn't give Jase time to react before she was making all kinds of decisions without him. He told Sawyer "she's had days to come to terms with it, and all I got was 5 minutes". That really pissed me off about her; you don't just say that then decide a whole future without consulting the other person who just might have something to say on the matter.
Okay, rant over. I enjoyed the book for the most part (minus the ending), but I'm hoping we get Stephanie's book next, I have a feeling hers is going to full of comedy.

Erika Wilde has a penchant for upping the ante with each new book of hers. Playing with Seduction the chemistry is hotter, the emotions are deeper, and the story shines through (or with) the eroticism and bring the reader in full fold to the wicked world these characters live in. Kendall and Jase's book was an outright pleasant, yummy surprise. I'm usually not a fan of the older woman, younger man storyline, ONLY because they tend to be laden with misconceptions and blow a minor aspect like ago out of proportion. However, in this book the author takes great strides to cement the fact that age is just a number. Although, it is a point of contention between Kendall and Jase, their own actions prove again and again feelings trump age. Every. Single. Time.
Given a woman who has a new found insatiable appetite, and a man all too willing to fulfill said appetite Playing with Seduction is an all-out warfare of emotions, breaking down ill-conceived stereotypes, and passion - lots and lots of passion. But all in not fair in love and war, of course. Jase and Kendall both have insecurities that are played on and brought center stage. All the better to deal with them, my dears. It was a game of waiting for the other shoe to drop and wen it did my heart broke. Alas, Ms. Wilde has never once disappointed me in the many books of her's that I've read, and she didn't so now either.
Together this is an unstoppable couple. Their tenuous hold on their relationship at first is a bit worrisome, but page by page you see them grip their rope for dear life and there's not much that could bring them down. Once again, an impeccable rendition of steam and heat meeting love and intensity. I've forever be a fan of the series Erika Wilde has founded in these fun-loving, relatable characters and I can't wait to see who's world she turns upside down next!
Happy Reading! *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*
Playing with Seduction has everything I like in an erotic romance--characters with depth, an interesting storyline that keeps me glued to the pages, and steamy scenes that require a squeegee to keep my reading screen clear. In that respect, it makes for a perfect hot and spicy read.
Mmm...Jase...yeah, he's a keeper all right. Hot, sexy, protective and all alpha male, with a good head on his shoulders and a plan for his life. Kendall is a good, strong female lead who is successful and knows what she wants in life. My one aggravation with her is her stubborn view about the age difference between her and Jase, and how she continually makes a big deal about it. At times I wanted to just give her a good shake and tell her to just go with it, you never know how things might end up. With the connection the two of them had, and the chemistry that just overflows between them, there's no denying how absolutely perfect they are for each other.
There's plenty of hot and spicy erotic scenes, but they are never overdone and fit very well within the storyline to enhance the overall story and not overtake it. The story lets us see how being with Kendall changes Jase and his outlook for his future (thank goodness!)...but also showcases Kendall's stubbornness as well as her strength and fortitude when faced with some unexpected news late in the story.
I found Playing with Seduction to be quite enjoyable, even during those times I wanted to knock some sense into Kendall. I can easily say that this book can be read as a standalone in the series, as I haven't read the other two yet, but had no problem following along. Reading this one now has me excited to pick up the other two in the series, and I hope there are more to come.
4 solid, sexy, stubborn stars for Playing with Seduction, recommended for erotic romance fans 18+ (because those steamy scenes...oh my...). Now to go back and add those first two books to my TBR list...
Kendall Shaw owns Pure Bliss, a boudoir photography studio. An author wants Kendall to shoot some book covers for her using Jase Burns as the cover model. Since Kendall first met Jase, he has been relentlessly pursuing her. The problem....Jase is 8 years younger than her and after her painful divorce, Kendall is looking for a man who is ready to settle down and start a family, not a gorgeous 27 year old just starting out.
Kendall and Jase share a scorching kiss that Kendall feels all the way down to her toes, but she still tells Jase she will not go out with him. Unbeknownst to her, Jase leaves an invitation in Kendall's office to the The Player's Club for the annual silent charity auction where she is invited to be auctioned off as a plaything to one lucky bidder. Kendall's friends convince her to go.
At the auction, Kendall mingles with some of the bidders. When they announce the winners, Kendall is taken to a different area to meet her winning bidder. Imagine her surprise when she sees Jase! She's ready to bolt, but he convinces her to stay and at least get what she came looking for! To Kendall's surprise she really clicked sexually with Jase. These two together were hot! The problem was that they were in different places in their lives. Jase finally convinces Kendall to at least be together long enough to get their attraction for each other out of their systems. Kendall starts to realize there is a lot more to Jase than she first thought.
Loved the time at Dean and Raina's house! Loved how Jase went all caveman! ;) The confrontation with Adam made Kendall realize that she is wasting precious time in finding someone who will really commit to her, so she breaks things off with Jase. They are both heartbroken.
I loved the big reveal at towards the end and how these two found their way back to each other. Their happy ending was great!
Playing With Seduction by Erika Wilde. Book 3 in The Players Club series.
Kendall Shaw a divorcee with a budding boudoir photography business lusts after the man she has commissioned for sexy shots she needs for one of her newest projects. With their 8 year age gap she isn’t going to go after him for herself. No matter how much she is tempted to do so. Receiving an invite to participate as part of the auctioned off persons at the Players Club, Kendall accepts with the intention of having a random night of orgasmic delight before she starts down the path of family and children she has wanted for more than 10 years.
Jase Burns sent the anonymous invitation to Kendall. Stepping up his game to get her to see him as way more than a body for her photography business. Bidding through an app he wins, barely. Watching Kendall step into his room and getting her pleasure for the night is only the start to what he wants.
Convincing Kendall that the age difference doesn’t matter is in process. Everything is going great, dates on the beach, playtime every night. Letting Kendall share her fantasies and fulfilling every one. Until one of his ignorant coworkers ruins it all with a few choice words during a picnic for Noble & Associates. Kendall is more determined to end their affair and get the plan underway for her family and children. Jase isn’t quite ready for that though. Oh but things happen in strange ways. Soon Jase will find that he’s more ready than he thought.
Dominance isn’t always about being the one on top. Erika gives you a taste of all of this within the writing of the Players Club books. The start of romance and love can be anywhere. But she shows that it’s where it ends up that truly matters. Fulfilling desires and making you aware of a few that you might not have known you had.
This series keeps getting better! So we get the next book in this series and it did not disappoint at all. From the first book I read by this author, she drew me in with her steam, suspense, and intense moments that this series contains and continues to have me coming back, excited for each new book.
This book was nothing short of perfect. A combination of sexy, sweet, passion, and intensity, this book grabbed me from the first page. I devoured this book in one sitting and loved every minute of it. Full of edginess and steam, you are in for one love story that is sure to make you swoon and blush.
This is Jase and Kendall's story. Kendall is on the mend and ready for the next journey in her life. Newly divorced, she is ready to take steps to move forward and step into the unknown... until Jase steps into her path. She doesn't expect him or the lengths he goes to show her he is the man for her.
Jase is a man who knows what he wants and what he wants is Kendall. Sure Kendall may be a bit older than he but that doesn't diminish the flame he holds for her. He wants all of her and he will stop at nothing to prove to her he is worth the chance to take... that they are worth the chance.
Oh Jase... the man is sex on a stick with so much passion and love inside of him. I fell for him hard and fast. I loved how he pursued Kendall and didn't give up even when she pushed. I also liked Kendall, even if I wanted to smack her a time or two. I was rooting for these two from the very start.
Playing with Seduction is the third book in The Players Club series and is Kendall Shaw and Jase Burns's story.
I loved Kendall and Jase's book and had been looking forward to its release since I finished Playing With Pleasure (book two in the series). Kendall is a Boudoir photographer, finally in a good place in her life. She hires Jase for a custom photo shoot, but he only takes the job to get close to her. Although attracted to him, Kendall is determined to resist Jase; he is not only younger than her, but the two are in different places in their lives. Jase, however, is determined to have Kendall, he is not used to being turned down and refuses to give up.
To say the book was hot would be a severe understatement! Jase is a super sexy and dominant alpha who knows what he wants and Kendall is a smart, independent woman who gives Jase a run for his money. Both characters have insecurities they need to work through and this makes it very easy to relate to them. Playing with Seduction is a deeply sensual, sexy and also emotional read and it is a great addition to the Players Club series. There are still characters that need their own HEA's so I hope Erika Wilde plans to write more books in the series.
I received an ARC of Playing with Seduction through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
3.5 RATING - This is the second book I've read in this series and like the first, I enjoyed it. I find the author's writing style very readable and perfect for the guilty pleasure stories I'm always drawn to. There's actually quite a few similarities with the two books. Like the first book in the series, there is a BDSM club in the mix but the majority of the story doesn't take place there which for me, is a good thing. The hero is also more into domination than whips and chains and that's something else that worked for me. I'd consider this hero more of an alpha lead than someone into BDSM. The heroine has some hang ups and that was a little annoying but in the end, her hang ups were pretty validated so I cut her some slack. They were in a tough situation and I could empathize with that. I do think the story wrapped up a little too quickly but other than that it was a sexy quick read perfect for a lazy day at home.
Overall, I'm happy to have stumbled upon this series. I'm also happy to realize that I picked up The Marriage Diaries a long time ago on sale and never read it. That's Dean's story and I'm looking forward to reading it.
Kendall is a boudoir photographer who spent quite a few years putting all of her time and energy into a marriage that didn't work out. Her efforts were relayed by her ex-husband leaving her for another woman as soon as she had paid off all of his debts. Jase is eight years Kendall's junior and is enlisted to model for a romance novel cover shoot at Kendall's studio. Kendall is very attracted to Jase, but she has no intention of getting involved with a younger man who she expects would not want anything more than a fling. After a night together where their sexual chemistry is confirmed, Jase begins making a case for why Kendall should give him a real chance.
This is a book where is it pretty easy to like all the characters. Kendall is very to sympathize with as her dilemma is challenging. She was a character I was cheering on throughout. Jase seems a little too good to be true sometimes. He is kind in life, and dominating in the bedroom. There is some mild conflict, but nothing that can't be resolved pretty easily. If you are looking for a good general romance without a lot of guessing, this is a nice quick read. It has the feel of a classic romance novel, but with more steam.

The story has laughs, pain, betrayal, suspense, naughty fun, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Playing With Him (The Players Club, #0.5) Playing with Temptation (The Players Club, #1) Playing with Pleasure (The Players Club #2)
This is Kendall and Jase’s story. Kendall is a little jaded after her husband left her for a younger woman after she more or less paid off his schooling. She wants Jase but knows they are not in the same place in their life. She is ready to settle down and have kids and he is not yet. It’s in his plan but not for a while. She tries to stay away but when she gets an invite to the players club she can’t pass it up. She is trying dating men her age as Jase is younger but those dates are just not working out. After a wild night with Jase at the players club they just can’t stay away from each other. So they decide on a fling. She is going to move on after the fling but she needs Jase right now. What happens when feelings get involved? Can she let him go? Or will one little surprise have them rethinking everything?
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
This is the third book of The Players Club Series. It is about Kendall, a boudoir photographer. She is a friend of the girls --- Raina, Paige, Jillian, and Summer. Kendall was married before and treated badly.
It is also about Jase. He works security for Stephanie's husband. Kendall has him to pose for a custom photo shoot for a romance book cover. Jase has feelings for Kendall and she rejects him. He is younger and she thinks it is a big mistake.
She receives an invitation from the player's club and thinks it is from one of her friends. She dresses up and when she arrives, she finds there was an auction. When the bidding was over for her, she was sent to a room to meet the person that had the highest bid. That happened to be Jase.
As time went on, their relationship changed. Would things work out? Did she change her mind? Read the book to find out.
A very sexy and sweet couple, Jase and Kendall sizzle
I love the series but have especially enjoyed this one. Playing with Seduction is everything you'd expect and then some. Kendall is a 'mature' woman who has been burned by her former husband. He betrayed her and shattered her dreams. When she pursues a younger man, Jase, for a short term affair, she didn't expect to develop deeper feelings for the man, or to find her perfect match and soulmate. Jase has a broken past and a plan for his life that don't include settling down just yet. He didn't plan on falling in love either. Life has a funny way of getting in the way of your carefully made plans! I loved their sweet story and how they are so perfect for each other. How they overcame hurdles to be together. I look forward to reading more from this author. All of her books are well written and a joy to read.
Playing with Seduction (The Players Club, #3) by Erika Wilde ....This is my second time reading this book and enjoyed it as much this time as I did the first time. Jase and Kendall have a strong attraction ..but he is younger( he was a late in life child and always felt in his parents way) and she had a bad experience (Her husband who she put through medical school left her for a younger woman ..who he got pregnant) Jase sent her an invitation to THE PLAYERS CLUB...to be auctioned for charity. From there their story gets hot and steamy and she agrees to an affair...That's all I tell you...you will just have to read it yourself... I will say they get to their HEA.
Reasons I enjoyed this book: Wonderful characters Romantic Entertaining Happily Ever After Witty Easy-to-read Great world building Steamy Page-turner
Kendall was married for ten years then her husband left her for a younger woman. Now she’s ready for marriage and family. She owns a photography business where she takes erotic and boudoir pictures. Jase is one of her male models, younger than her, and works for a security company. Jase has been trying to get Kendall to go out with him but she keeps turning him down. Until she gets an invitation to the PLAYERS CLUB where she is auctioned off and all her sexual fantasies can come true. Jase is her date for the night and gives her a night she’ll never forget. Can Kendall accept their age difference and Jase push his timetable for his life goals up? Sex. Kendall’s second chance at love. Jase’s first time falling in love. And hopefully a happily ever after.
