BETRAYED is a new adult, contemporary romance recommended for adult readers due to mature content.

Paxton Mayfield and his brother, Cade, have a bad habit of falling for the same woman. In the past, their antics gave new meaning to the term sibling rivalry.

But now that Cade has tied the knot, can Pax finally find a woman who loves him?

Jessica Beacham has only loved one man—Paxton Mayfield. She would have gladly given up her college scholarship to stay in Creekview if he would have just given her a sign, but instead of telling her to stay, he ended the relationship.

Distraught and lonely, she was comforted by his brother.

Seven years have passed since that fateful day. When Paxton receives an unexpected phone call, he soon finds himself face-to-face with the one woman he swore he’d never speak to again.

He abandoned her. She ripped his heart out. Can they overcome their feelings of betrayal and restore their trust in each other?

BETRAYED is the fourth book in the WHISKEY NIGHTS series. Since each book focuses on a different couple, they can be read as stand-alones; however, it is suggested to read DECEIVED before BETRAYED. Since there are recurring characters, many readers may prefer to read the series in order for maximum enjoyment.

5 Stars!

I seriously love love love this series. This series is amazing. Each book is a standalone, though I recommend you reading them in order. Each book was better than the next and left me hanging, wanting more from each person we met along the way. This series is sexy, edgy, passionate, steamy, full of twists and turns, and has sexy alpha males who will make you swoon... hard.

This book was amazing. Full of passion and intensity, this love story will put you through a range of emotions. With secondary characters that make you laugh and smile, this romance has a that spark that keeps me coming back wanting more. This author did an amazing job weaving an a beautiful love story that showed me the importance of healing, forgiveness, and finding true love.

This is Paxton and Jessica's story. Their story was what could have been but now years have passed. And when they come face to face again, all the betrayals come back to the surface. Can they move past the past and work towards the future? Can these two find a way to mend the hurt and open their hearts to love again? Be prepared to swoon, smile, laugh, cry and definitely fall in love.

I highly recommend this book.

Seven years ago, Paxton turned from Jessica in hopes she would find something bigger and better for herself. Instead, she found solace in his brother. Jessica has always loved Paxton, though, and after a night of watching him from a distance, she found her life forever changed. Now, she's in need of a friend and someone who can help for just a few hours, and the only phone call she can make that goes through is to the man who still holds her heart.

Paxton and Jessica's journey had it's rocky moments. Both were a little bit stubborn -- Jessica wanted Paxton in her life, and Paxton had enormous trust issues where she was concerned, something that only became bigger before it became smaller

Paxton was not my favorite character in previous books, namely in Deceived. However, one of my favorite things an author can do is redeem a character. Sure, there are characters who are unredeemable -- those characters that if the author even tries, it simply falls flat -- but Paxton was the type who just needed the right woman, the right circumstances, to bring him full circle. I loved watching Paxton with his brothers -- especially in his regrowth of a relationship with Cade. Jessica... I liked her for most of the book, but I always felt that she was a bit manipulative, something that I'm not necessarily sure that fixing trust issues could completely, well... fix. .
Her life hadn't been easy, and I wanted to change that for her. As much as I hated missing the last seven years with her, I also knew that things had needed to happen the way they did...
Ms. Daniels continues to showcase her ability in writing, with a great group of friends and a newly growing relationship between brothers Mayfield (I'm hopeful that Evan will find himself a lady someday soon; and I still really heart that Cade calls Seren by her maiden name). The flow of her stories is effortless and the growth between characters feels organic -- this is a group of friends that feel like any group of friends you may encounter. Add to that mix a reluctant male and watching as he was truly a natural in the obstacles thrown at him...

Paxton may just be one of my favorites of this group.

...but then again, I feel that way every time I pick up a new Whisky Nights book.

* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. *

This is the 4th book in the series, however, it can be read as a standalone. The characters in this book are recurring characters that you will meet and get to know, both in this book and the previous 3 books in the series. This book focuses on Paxton Mayfield and his true (but estranged) love Jessica Beacham and the epic disaster that tore them apart. Each story that author Suzannah Daniels writes about the town of Creekview makes the reader fall in love with both the town and characters even more.

Paxton was a jerk in book 3 and even the beginning of book 4, but even as a jerk the reader can't help but root for him and a happy ending - the reader actually grows to like him in this book and wants to root for him and Jess even before he knows that we should be rooting for the 2 of them. Jess and Cade (Pax's brother) never had a "thing" going but that isn't something that Pax will believe. All he can picture is the two of them together and him never speaking to Jess again....until she has no one else to call and he steps up to the plate...enter Pax's second dislike....a baby...

The author does an amazing job with weaving the tale together for the reader. She includes plenty of drama, angst, emotion and just enough mystery to keep the reader on the edge of their seat wondering what could possibly happen next. You will laugh, cry, cheer and scream throughout the book and there are more than a few WTF moments! The reader never has a chance to recover from one emotion before another is surging through them.

The plot is unique, full of twists, turns, curves and loops and the reader never knows what is going to happen next. This is a book that immediately after you finish reading it you want to start it all over again to see what they missed since they zoomed through it so quickly the first time. Do yourself a favor and add this one and the previous books to your TBR list - you don't want to miss out on any of this series!

Paxton is my new favorite character in this series!

I'm a HUGE fan of the Whiskey Nights series, and of Suzannah's and I was very eagerly waiting his story after we got a glimpse of him in book 3. He's broody, closed off, and admittedly selfish. But there's a reason for it, which we get to know.

Jessica was the love of his life, and he feels betrayed by what he thinks happened in the past. Of course the saying "things aren't always what they seem' is very appropriate here. Jessica comes back into his life very unexpectedly and Paxton has to decide if he's going to let her stay there.

What I love about this series in general is that each story is an overall feel-good read. Each book focuses on a different set of characters but they are all intermingled, which makes the stories flow. Paxton and Jessica could be your friends. What they go through is real-life events, and that is what makes this book fantastic.

I loved seeing the transformation in Paxton throughout the pages. His vulnerability is a beautiful thing, and it's what will make you fall in love with him.

I honestly don't ever want this series to end, because it would be like saying goodbye to friends. But I'm excited to see who Suzannah gives us next. While each of these books can be read as stand-alones, I HIGHLY recommend reading them in order so you get to know everyone. You'll be glad you did.

I am a HUGE fan of The Whiskey Nights series and was excited to hear that Paxton would be having a chance to tell his story and possibly redeem himself with........
Paxton and Jessica have a truckload of history and not all of it is great, when dire circumstances call for an emergency call Jessica is forced to reach out to Paxton for help.
Paxton is extremely stubborn and believes what he chooses to believe to protect his heart from being destroyed like it once was when he felt like he was betrayed by the love of his life and his brother, will Pax be able to forgive Jessica like he has with Cade??
Dive back in with the crew from Whiskey Nights and catch up with the gang and see what ya'll are missing out on. There were times that I wanted to climb into the book and bounced some heads together to make the characters think straight and then a few pages later I wanted to cradle them and soothe them..... Extremely emotionally charged and kept my attention throughout the entire story.
I am looking forward to the next installment in this series..

I was given a copy by the author in exchange for a honest review.

Betrayed is the fourth book in this series, and by far is my favorite. The author does an amazing job with her writing and drawing you in and not letting go until the very end. There is definitley plenty of drama and emotions, along with a lot of angst. I really didn't like Paxton at the beginning, but he eventually grew on me and I just loved him by the end. Even though Jessica was a little deceitful, she had her reasons and I loved the strength she showed throughout the whole book. There are some twist and turns throughout, that will have you turning the page to see what is going to happen. This is definitley one book you need to read in my opinion. I loved it!! I can't wait for more.

Had me tearing up a few times.
Really liked both characters.
Rachel was useless and I didn't like his mother.

It his was the first book I read in the series so I had no background on either character or the past couples. It wasn't hard to catch on, I didn't get confused since there really wasn't that many parts of the book with anyone but Pax & Jess

I enjoyed their relationship I think it progressed well and aside from the outside bits of drama it was pretty smooth if not careful.

I've read quite a few books from this author, and I've already read the other three books in this series! I really enjoyed the other books, so I was looking forward to reading this book! I received an ARC from the author and I made it my next read! I have to admit that I knew nothing about this book before I started reading it lol! I didn't read the synopsis beforehand, so I wasn't really sure what to expect! I loved this book though! I wasn't sure where it was going to go because I didn't read the synopsis, but I liked it! I wouldn't say that this book is my favourite in the series though! There was just something about it that made me like it, but not love it as much as the other books! The plot was also a little slow in points and the sexual tension between the two characters was hot then cold and it kept going back and forth! It was kind of frustrating to read lol! I loved the few twists in the plot though and that the main characters from the other books in the series made a lot of appearances in this book! The characters were also great and made this book even better! Paxton 'Pax' was the main male character, and he was a secondary character in the other books in this series! I was really excited that he was getting his own story! I loved Pax in this book! He was really hot and I could understand why he was slightly resistant to let his love interest/ex-girlfriend move in with him! They both had a lot of history and their relationship had went through a lot! Pax came a long way in this book though, and he actually became a better person and he found out a lot about what was really important in his life! I loved the way he was with his love interest too! Jessica 'Jess' was the main female character, and she was completely down on her luck at the beginning of this book! She had an unwell baby, she lived in a crappy apartment, and she didn't have any money! My heart completely went out to her! I could still see that she had some insane amount of love for her baby, Joseph, and she tried her absolute best as a mother to provide for him! There were also times in this book where I loved Jess as a character, but then there were times where I thought that she made the wrong decision or maybe said the wrong thing! I could understand in a way why she did this, but it made it a little harder for me to connect with her! I loved that this book was written from both Pax and Jessica's point of views! I was expecting it to be as the other books in this series are written from dual point of view, but I was really happy that this book was as well! It made the plot be able to expand more and allowed for more things to happen! It was also amazing to be able to go inside both characters heads! I can't wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it's going to be about two different characters, but I have an idea as to whose book it could possibly be and I can't wait to read it once it releases! The cover for this book is seriously hot! It suits the other covers in the series perfectly and the model on the front is really hot and suits Paxton's character! Big thank you to Suzannah for an ARC of Betrayed!

Paxton Mayfield hasn't always been the pain in the butt that he is today. There was a time when he was completely and utterly in love. In the hope of doing the right thing by letting her go and accept a scholarship for college, he broken both their hearts. And in a moment of weakness, she did something that she immediately regretted. Pax found out and swear to never speak to her again.

Seven years have past and Pax has stuck to his word, he wants nothing to do with Jessica Beacham. That is until now. She's in between a rock and a hard place and the last person she wants to call is Pax, but he's her last resort. When he hears the desperation in Jessica's voice, he caves in since she is, afterall, the only women that he's ever loved.

When he reaches her, he begins to see just how bad things are for Jessica, so he does something he never thought he'd do... he offers to help her out. But the more time they spend together, the more they realize that their feelings have never waned, if only Pax can forgive Jessica's past and embrace the future he never knew he always wanted.

Oh my goodness, I was really looking forward to this book in the Whiskey Nights series. Pax was the guy that has had a chip on his shoulder. Even after everything with Cade, he still found it hard to move forward with his life, always living in the past.

But watching him with Baby J and Jessica warmed my heart like no other. Even when he was fighting his feelings for Jessica, he couldn't help but keep her close. His life was his own and he thought it was perfect, but now he sees it as being shallow, lonely. Now he's life is loud, happy, fulfilling.

It will take a lot for Pax and Jessica to work through their past, but when they do, it's a life full of love, passion, and happiness they always desired.

And I adore how the Mayfield brothers have their weekly meetings; their bond is stronger now more than ever. They came together after all their family secrets came out, it could have shattered them but it didn't.

I think this book would have to be favorite of the Whiskey Series because Pax changed to much. The person he was in the beginning is the same person at the end. This a fun series and I can't wait to see what will happen in the next installment.

Being a massive fan of Suzannah Daniels' work, I have been eagerly waiting for Paxton's story, particularly as he was a bit of an idiot in 'Deceived'. This is my favourite of the series so far. I absolutely adored Jessica and Paxton's journey - it felt so real.

Any one of us could find ourselves in Jessica's situation: just trying to survive and look after her baby. Sometimes life doesn't go your way and throws obstacle after obstacle in your way, leaving you on your knees with nowhere else to go. All it takes is a little help and support to get back on your feet and fight your way back. When Jessica falls on hard times, she has no-one to turn to for help but her ex, Paxton. Their history is not good so it is a miracle that he agrees to help her in the first place. The thing about Paxton is that under all that bluster and bravado is a kind-hearted man just trying to find his place in the world.

The characters, plot and writing all worked seamlessly together to create a beautiful story that leaves you a little breathless. It is a story that we can all relate to and fall in love with. I certainly did and I'm still feeling good and tingly after reading it.

First I would like to start by saying I was not a big fan of Paxton, when I met him on the previous book in the series, I really didn't care for him. I also didn't care much for Jessica. But on their book I have to say that Pax really redeemed himself, I saw a different side of him, one that I really liked.
My problem (small issue really) was that I really didn't connect with Jessica, I tried but I never fully connected.
I have to say that one of my fave characters in the whole book was Joseph, LOL! I know it's silly but I was always looking forward to reading the parts that included him and loving them all.
I really loved that in this book we got to know many details about some of my fave characters in the series like Hawk (he is on my list of my book boyfriends).
Are we getting Evan next? Hmmm, I guess we will have to wait and see.
HEA and with what I call a bonus :) Will recommend this book to my friends but read in order or you will be lost.

Each story I read in this series makes me fall in love with Creekview a little bit more each time. The characters have become like family and this book was no exception. I liked Paxton in book 3 but fell in love with him in this one! When an incident leaves Jessica in a tight spot she has no choice but to call her ex- but where the story takes you from there is an adventure in its self. That being said it was nice to watch the characters grow with in the story and to see where their paths took them. It moved at a great pace and was interesting to see where everything went. Both of the main characters are well developed and we get to see a few old friends throughout the story. I cannot wait to see more books in this series!!

I liked Paxton he knew better to argue with a woman, “I just wanted to do something for you since you were nice enough to let me stay here.” Something in her voice made me unable to refuse her request." Paxton could be a very sweet man, "he kissed me on the corner of my mouth. “You’re welcome. Why don’t you take a hot bath while Baby J and I finish watching the game?” He shot me a mischievous grin. “I wasn’t kidding when I said I wasn’t feeling very satisfied.” He cupped my butt and pulled me against his growing erection. “Anything you can do to help?” I enjoy this series, I love the characters and I love watching them grow.

I absolutely love The Whiskey Night Series. The men are dreamy , sexy and most of all Loving.

Paxton wants nothing to do with Jessica It's been years since they have really spoken to each other. With no one to turn to Jessica calls Pax to help her when she gets into trouble.. He feels bad and helps her but can they spark up that old flame again. Or will Rachel be a problem for them

This was a really good read. I love the characters in this series.

I love how the relationship between Pax, Jess, and Joseph grew, it wasn't something that was just a given. I loved watching them grow and change together.

A lot of emotion in this book. Hope, fear, longing.

The story flowed well and the storyline was intriguing. Shows that people can change if given a chance.
