The House We Grew Up In by Lisa Jewell

You may not be able to put this down once you start reading the story of this family. The Bird family starts out like most families, enjoying nice traditions and a wonderful Easter every year. As time goes on, however, you will come to see that people change and develop over time, sometimes for the better and sometimes not. After a family tragedy strikes one Easter morning, nothing remains the same. Memories and unrealized dreams pile up like so many items, matching the mementos Lorelei can’t seem to part with. In the end, the children are just left with memories of the house they grew up in.

Didn’t love this! It held my attention fairly well but just didn’t seem to run well or seem in any way believable.

A story of a shockingly normal family. All the secrets eventually bubble up. Well written and kept my attention all the way through. Great read.

This wasn't my favorite of Lisa Jewell's books. A little slower-paced than the others.

Good, but not one of her best. I found it a little predictable in places. However it was a good, easy read and kept my attention enough to finish it relatively quickly
