I was taught by my mom to knit but I taught myself to crochet thank goodness for the internet! In this book I learned so many new things that I didn't know and things that I thought I knew but was doing wrong and now see why when I was doing certain things why it didn't turn out the way it was suppose to be!! This book is very informative and it's easy to read and easy to follow the directions..

THERE ARE PICTURES, YEH!

One of the first things I look for in Crochet books is pictures of strange (new or different stitches or patterns) and good written instructions. This book has a variety of different projects, all of which could be used for gifting. Have fun folks.

Baby bootie pattern !

Missing first beginning chain stitches. I browsed thru other patterns briefly. The square pattern was a bit off mis stating rows when it was still.the first row. Needs better proofing

Glad it's free to read.

Nice effort for beginner writer. Not a book I would choose for a beginner learning crochet. Too much writing and not enough use of short forms used in traditional crochet patterns.

Eh not the greatest

I made one pattern out of this entire book. Granted my skill level is higher than this book, but none of them are really great patterns, easy or not.

Great for beginners

This is great for beginners. Grab a hook and some yarn, and choose one of these patterns to start with. They are written so that they are easily understood.

I did not care for this book particularly because I am a newbie to crochet. I have been learning slowly overtime, and luckily this wasn't the first book I picked up. It doesn't do much in the way of teaching you truly how to stich, which is something most so-called beginner's books usually struggle with. Also could have used more tips and tricks, along with some other really fairly easy and simple project ideas. All books in this area also seem to struggle with that too. Try somewhere else first!
