A glorious and powerful story of forgiven and redemption! The author did an excellent job of describing each of our main character, both Paige and Cameron, pain, sadness, suffering and finally Love....highly recommend!

Alaskan Reunion: Alaskan Grooms Book 2 is by Belle Calhoune. This is set in Love, Alaska where Mayor Prescott had created Operation Love which was designed to bring women to their town with the idea of making a marriage if possible. This was the town of second chances.
Paige Reynolds was returning to Love, Alaska after two years. Two years ago, her Father had embezzled money from the town and run off with it. The funds were to build a cannery which would benefit the town financially. Paige was thought to be an accomplice so was run out of town as well. Even her boyfriend, Cameron Prescott turned against her. Now she was returning with most of the money to be returned to the town. Her Father had returned and on his death bed had made her promise to return the money. So, she found herself on the way back to Love. She had another reason to return. She was bringing her fourteen- month old daughter to meet his father- Cameron Prescott.
Cameron Prescott had been hounded by the town after the loss of the money. Since he was working so closely with Mr. Reynolds, he was under suspicion for having helped him. Instead of running, he turned to taking over The Moose Café and making it into a place for the town to gather. He had closed his mind and heart from Paige, although thoughts of her slipped into his memory. The last thing he wanted was to have the bac memories to be so major. Little did they realize they were dealing with another problem as well as with Paige.

A friend sent me this in a box of Love Inspired Books. I think I've read at least one of the others in the "Alaskan Grooms" subseries--only because Love, Alaska having Operation Love where they invited single women to come find husbands sounds familiar.
The pluses:
*Paige and Cameron have a history--which makes it more believable to me that they'd get engaged and married in the time frame covered by this book.
*Paige and Cameron have worked through several issues by the time they get to the point of engagement, which makes me think they'd continue to do so in the future. And they do both seem to be looking out for what's best for their daughter.
The minuses:
*These types of books make it seem like you can have a child whose existence you hide from the baby's father, then just reveal it one day and the baby's father will A) Accept the baby without reservation and B) fall in love with you and the two of you will live happily ever after. Please do not plan to do this in real life and expect the same results. Could it happen? Yes. Will it happen? Unfortunately, I can more likely see the baby's father wanting a DNA test to prove paternity.
*The issues seem to get cleared up awfully easily. Cameron reads the letter from Paige's father and suddenly he's ready to follow her to Seattle if that's what it takes--never mind all the soul-searching he's done about loving Paige again up to that point. Cameron hears that Paige got a trust fund from her mother and that's why she was spending money at that crucial juncture (does she have no sense? The town thinks she was in on the embezzlement and she's spending money on a Hawaiian vacation? No, no one's going to question that at all.) and he just believes her and all is forgiven that he doubted her?

We see God's love, forgiveness, and.second chances
I loved the storyline and the wonderful characters I have grown to love.
Baby Emma was adorable.
Another beautiful story by this author.

This was my first read by this author and I enjoyed this book so much. From the title of the book to the last word in the story I was hooked. Well written. The story line was easy to follow, the characters were well developed and the descriptiveness was amazing. I loved reading about Paige, her daughter Emma and her ex, Cameron. This was a beautiful story of love, redemption, forgiveness and God's plan. Highly recommend.

After Paige's father embezzled the towns monet she was forced out of town and even her boyfriend believed her guilty. Cameron loved Paige but until he met his daughter he wasn't giving Paige a chance to break his heart. Cameron realized he broke her heart even more.

This author likes to repeat the same issues over and over in almost every chapter. Could have cut the book in half. If i hadn't brought the series I wouldn't have read anymore from this author.

Love Inspired and Belle Calhoune release the next installment in the Alaskan Grooms series. This story is set in the small fishing town of Love, Alaska. This is a story of second chances.
We are introduced to Paige Reynolds who is returning to Love after being gone for almost 2 years. She doesn't expect a welcoming committee, but she made her father a deathbed promise that she plans to keep. She is returning to repair the damage he caused 2 years ago.
Paige is a very complex character. She lost her mother at a young age and developed a close relationship with her father. When they formally moved to Love she had a typical childhood and met the love of her life, Cameron Prescott. Or at least she thought had until 2 years ago when it came to light that her father had embezzled money from the town and had run off to parts unknown. Paige was literally left in complete shock and devastation. The town blamed her and accusations were cast that she was involved in the crime. She turned to the one person she thought she could trust, Cameron, but he felt that she was somehow involved and told her she needed to leave town. Scared, heartbroken betrayed and alone Paige left Alaska with no plans of every returning.
Paige's return has a huge impact on Cameron. She explains that with the death of her father she has come to return what money was left from his embezzlement. She also informs him of the child she had conceived and gave birth to, Emma. Cameron is in complete turmoil. He easily falls in love with his child, but can he trust her mother?
This was an intriguing story for me.
The characters are strong and well developed. The plot flows effortlessly. I loved Paige from the beginning even though I felt she was a little naive. She show her strength of character to come back and face a place she's not wanted to do the right thing. The plot flows effortlessly. I enjoyed the small town feel of this story.
I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good romance.

This is the second book in the series but it can be a stand alone story. I love Belle's writing and this book is no exception. I also love reunion stories but this book has a little bit of a twist. Imagine if your father is responsible for a small town's financial (almost) ruin because he embezzled their funds and ran off!!! This is what happened 2 years ago to Paige. She knew nothing about his crime at the time but she was painted with the same brush and run out of town. She was in love with Cameron and he also believed she was in cahoots with her father. The betrayal was deep on both their sides. Two years later, Paige comes back to Love, Alaska to try to make amends. She's also bringing along a special gift for Cameron that will rock his world! Paige's father has died and he was deeply sorry for betraying the town. She wants to try to ask forgiveness of the town for her father and make them see she had nothing to do with his crime. She also wants to make Cameron see she was innocent. Cameron is dumbfounded when he sees Paige! As Cameron and Paige work together to work past the betrayals and come back together, the town sees that Paige is honest is her desire that the town can also put the past behind them. This book was so good! I really enjoyed it! There are so many lessons about forgiveness, judging, and love.

I don't know how I missed the first book in this series but I'm backtracking fast. I love a good family series and this one is exceptional judging by Alaskan Reunion. I was drawn to Paige from the very beginning -- emotions engaged and my heart in my throat as I felt her anxiety and fear and pain. But her resolve drew her forward with an impossibly hard task and that made me admire her all the more. The girl's got grit and she's been hard done by. I wanted knock some heads together and shake some sense into Cameron's narrow-minded brain. Honestly, I spent most of this read fighting back indignant tears. Love how the redemption unfolds, how God works in the lives of both Paige and Cameron to restore so much that was lost. An incredibly uplifting and emotional romance.

Alaskan Reunion by Belle Calhoune is a Alaskan Grooms series. Paige Reynolds left Love Alaska two years ago after her father left town with the towns money. The town and her boyfriend Cameron Prescott, chased Paige out of town two years ago. Her father, Robert passed away two months ago and asked Paige to return the town the money. Paige returns to Love with her 14 month old daughter which happens to be Cameron's baby. Cameron recognized how much the baby, Emma, looked like he did as a baby. They both have trust issues. Paige has a plan to help the town get jobs. There are a lot of ups and downs in this book. A good read.

Alaskan Reunion is about forgiveness, and love. A book that will leave you feeling as if the world is a great place to be in. Hurt feelings, misunderstandings, betrayal, all play apart in destroying the love between Paige and Cameron. After being ran out of town by the man she loves she is brave enough to return with a plan to save the town. Returning to the town that hates her is only a small obstacle compared to the challenge of not falling back in love with the father of her child. Thank you Belle Calhoune for another wonderful book.

Liked most of the story. I knew Cameron was going to get his own book and was curious about what exactly happened with the cannery. Cameron reacted like a champ when he discovered he was a father. And Paige explained why it took her so long to come back and make it right not only with Cameron but also the town. It was her father after all who ran away with all the money for the cannery. However, the hot and cold, back and forth between Cameron and Paige made the story go for a bit longer than necessary.

I am going to make this short and sweet. I loved reading this book. I have enjoyed this series. Maybe I am just a sicker for romance, but I can see how Cameron and Paige were able to rekindle that love. It is hard to admit when you are wrong or judgemental. It is easy to judge others without looking at the big picture. Beautiful story. Looking forward to the next installment in the Alaskan Grooms series.

I had the honor to review this wonderful book for the author. When Paige and Emma come back to Love Alaska every one is shocked. The reasons for her return is truly amazing, the people are completely surprised by what she does. You will fall in love with all the people in this book. God is working throughout this whole book. This book deserves a higher rating than a 5 star.

This is a story of forgiveness and second chances. Paige Reynolds returns to Love, Alaska after being gone for 2 years. Cameron Prescott doesn't know if he can trust her even though she has returned to right the wrong her father did to the town. She has also brought Emma with her to Cameron's surprise. You will love this story of learning to forgive and trust once more.

Great book! Great characters! Stand alone book but reading book #1 Alaskan Grooms probably makes it easier to understand the backstory.
