Kim is an animal communicator, on her way to help her friend, at his animal rescue in Tennessee. Once at the farm she meets two brothers, Andrew and Robert. She soon discovers when either of the brothers touches her skin, it sparks something within her.
Soon she begins to fear that everyone on the farm is keeping secrets from her. She wants to run but her heart has other ideas, as does the brother she scorns. While she struggles with her dilemma, she soon discovers that she can hear the thoughts of one of the brothers.
Kim ignores all the obvious warning signs. Her instincts are telling her to run like hell, her heart says stay. She doesn’t want to admit to herself, what she believes they actually are. When her suspicions are revealed, Kim flees out of fear, knowing that everyone she has trusted, has betrayed her.
DNF at page 12. Not fond of the MC h and her being rude about the Christian woman whose house she is staying in. Also some … possible plot holes already.
The writing is stilted and phrasing is off. Commas are used improperly and where semi-colons or commas should be used, the sentence is split into two instead. This is giving me a headache trying to read it without grabbing a red pen to fix all of the issues I’m seeing.
No stars as I didn’t get far enough into the book to properly judge the story itself. Maybe after another round of edits I’ll try it again. It’s self published and it shows.
Sorry Friend, but this book fell flat with me. I appreciate you thinking of me at the signing though, thank you!

I liked the story line in Consumed (vol I of the series). I kept stealing time from my day to get back to the book! I loved it. Waiting patiently for book II, ,,, as Victor paces ; )
