What a wonderful book. This is a great psychological suspense romance. It has a great start that will hold your attention from page one. It is impossible to let it out of your hand. Edna Curry has a great way of telling a story. Step by step she always keeps the story line just right. I am sure that other authors would have starched the story to a 500 pages with lots of unnecessary details. This book has a great concentration of all the proper ingredients for a good psychology romantic thriller Taking into consideration my main genre is Terror / CIA /FBI / Legal and medical thrillers, yet that book was a 6 star refreshment. For all the action lovers – take a break and read that one.
I've enjoyed books previously from Edna Curry. I loved this one even more! She's a master at writing great, clean stories that capture your imagination. Mankato, Minnesota becomes a hotbed of intrigue and assumptions that put everyone's life at risk. Luckily, Lucy (or is it Lucille or Lucinda?) finds a champion to help her find out why her memories are from 1955, among other mysterious incidences. Dave is hooked on Lucy since they rode the bus together, and determined to help Lucy solve what's going on in her memory.
If there were six stars , that would have been my rating. Lucy has a great moral character, and determination. Through her character, I feel stronger. I. Can say honestly, there is nothing to dislike. This book is truly the best book I have read in ages. Thank you s much!!!
Waking from an accident leaves a young woman with no memory of who, what, and where. She takes on the task of retaining herself, her life. It was well written, a little slow at times, but I persevered. A good story, predictable, and uplifting. I enjoyed the story.
Apart from being a sweet and honest love story, with characters to match, there's also the danger from an over-privileged ex who would rather not be so honest. It was a bit cat and mouse right to the end. And a great ending it was! A lovely HEA is always worth those stars.
I have always enjoyed reading Curry's books. They are sweet stories about people's lives set in Minnesota. Easy reading that lets you read a story with out too much trauma or chaos.
She woke up knowing it was 1955, only to be told the year was 2015! She was in the hospital and had no memories after 1955. The only item she had was her purse with keys she didn't recognize and money she did not know whose it was. Her search for the family she remembered only lead to a cemetery. The story is one I could not put down because it was so involved with unexpected twists and turns. I received this book free and am voluntarily writing an honest review
