After spending quality time with David, learning the gifts of the light, Ellie is assured of one thing, her heart might just break before it's all over. She can't seem to help herself from being drawn deeply in a web between him and the darkness.
Her journey with Sandra to learn the gifts of the future is healing and gives her a sense of solidity, but the search for how Jacob might be involved in Equilibrium is her next great feat, one that won't be easy to accept.
Having far exceeding anything they thought her capable of, Ellie works now to discern a foreign entity that seems to have slipped into her world alone. Who is he and why is he wearing David's face?
Kate has been reading almost longer than she's been walking. It's her first love, as she's sure it might just be yours too. She's a full-time writer and entrepreneur at heart. With more ideas than one person should be allowed, she is blessed to have a muse that doesn't seem to take a vacation and more energy that one might consider healthy.
Her focus is on paranormal and fantasy romance with the occasional urban fantasy thrown in for fun. She's spent most of her life wondering about the 'unseen' far more than what we're able to touch, see and feel. There just has to be more than we can access. She's sure of it.

Ellie is fully engrossed in the Equilibrium. She has been vested as the Core and is learning to be everything for all of them. When she failed to follow what was mandated, she saw what could happen. But something isn't right. There is an evil trying to take over the group and s h e no longer knows who to trust. David is still the love of her life, but she finds Victor absolutely irresistible. She spends time in San Diego training and heads home for Christmas.
She has learned so much already. But David is keeping the truth from her and Victor and she doesn't know what or why. Something is happening.
I received a copy of this book from Hurricane Readers Review group in exchange for an honest review. I love this series and The Future was a great installment. Ellie's relationship with the rest of the team is getting stronger while she still struggles to try and do it all by herself. I really love Victor's character and the things he says to get Ellie to ask for help. I look forward to reading The Past, the next installment in this great series.
"You and I have to figure out where we stand, but I know one thing. I will always be beside you. Your father was the light to my darkness and where I am strong in my belief of separation where love is concerned, I honor you and who you are. I want to keep you warm and offer you rest, to support you and lift you up in anything you need. It’s the yearning of my spirit to be one with you in this journey as I used to be with David and with Jacob." Oh Victor I love the way your words make me feel.
Wow so many twists and turns...Definitely a good read. Ellie is finding her way as The Core and gaining control over her gifts so far. She as so many unanswered questions and she doesn't know who she can trust to help her work through them. Will Jacob be a part of Equilibrium too? Will she ever really know who her father was? Who is the mystery man in her vision? What is the Prophecy? What is David hiding? These questions and many more arise in this book. I can't wait to find out. Fabulous job Kate Thomas!!!
I finally got my grabby hands on this, the third instalment in a 5 book series - and read it in one sitting.
The reader is thrown headlong into the action again, but this time, with a much more somber feel. Ellie is still struggling and that is apparent both in the tempo and the narrative style of this tale.
The author is carefully doling out hints of information and mixing that up with misdirection. No more answers to be found here, just many more questions.
An enjoyable addition to the series.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
There........ The book ends THERE!!!! I'm so glad I don't have to wait for The Past.
This installment picks up where The Light ended with Ellie moving on to her training with Sandra. It also brings forth that not all is as it should be in Equilibrium.
Kate Thomas has done an amazing job with this series, it's unlike any PNR I've read before.
What?! It can't end there?! I need more!! I loved this so much. It tends to feel like it's dragging but before you know it you're at the end and begging for more.. I need more.. Like yesterday haha
Another great book in the series. Just when you think there will be some answers you are sure to be left with Moe questions than answers. How does the core of the group handle things when her life is seemingly falling apart?
From the front cover to the end I love everything about The Future. The only downside, (well it's not really a downside) I am in continual fear as to what is happening to The Equilibrium, I love them all but with all the twists and turns I have ended up accusing them all at some point
Another great instalment in the Equilibrium series by Kate Thomas. It starts where book 2 leaves off and with a heartbreaking beginning that may get you misty eyed a little bit. But there's David and Victor right by her side to help her through this time along with her brother Jacob. Ellie is still struggling with what her role is to be and is continuing her training with the Equalibrium but during this training more questions, twists and turns happen when an unknown presence makes themselves known....what does it mean? A great continuation that makes you want to know all the answers right away and keep reading to find them out. *I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it*
