With nothing to do but wait for a break in the weather or the next demon attack, whichever comes first, the three partners have the luxury of time to explore their mutual attraction and affection. Anyone who knows me knows that I hate giving negative reviews. However, there is not much positive I can honestly say about this story. Although I read the first book in this series, I feel like it didn’t make much of a difference. Snowbound starts at a point in time after the partner of a demon hunter named Temple was killed. The only thing that appears to connect this story to the previous book is that the lovers/ partners, Caleb and Agni, are back to hunting demons. In the first book in this series, the couple had a mystery to solve. However this book doesn’t have any such intrigue. The story begins when there is a heavy snow, which causes the three demon hunters to have to spend time indoors. Since they are snowed in, Temple proposes a ménage a trois. After some sexual exploration there is a demon attack that they must attend to. The book continues on to the point where Temple is assigned a new partner.
Though there were some well written sex scenes, there didn’t appear to be much to it. The characters weren’t particularly attracted to one another and there was no romance to speak of. They just seemed bored and didn’t want to turn down Temple, who they felt sorry for since he lost his partner and lover. After the sex and bout with danger, the book was pretty much over. I was left scratching my head and wondering if I missed something. Furthermore, it ended in a cliffhanger which wasn’t really a cliffhanger since there didn’t wasn’t any pressing question as to what would happen next. My understanding was that they would just continue on with their job of demon hunting. Despite my dislike of this book, I found the world building intriguing, which was a fantasy based on the 1930’s.

Reviewed for Prism Book Alliance
I am at a bit of a loss as to what to say about this series. Honestly, if I hadn't needed to read book three, I don't think I would have progressed past book one. I certainly wouldn't have progressed past book two.
