The sequel to 'Packed And Ready To Go' did not disappoint at all. Walter and Tracy's daughter Crystal is married and living in New York with her husband Max; bored and haunted by her parent's divorce. She is so consumed, that it starts to affect her own marriage.

Walter is trying to settle into his new life with Sasha and the baby. Problem is…the grass is not greener when you're the one responsible for the lawn care.

Tracy has moved on to a blissful life with Marco, but life may have dealt her a blow that is hard to handle. Will she be able to hold it together, for herself and for her family?

I enjoyed this book just as much as I did the first. I highly recommend it and give it 💎💎💎💎💎. Because of this series, I am a faithful @jackikellybooks reader.

The saga of the Baptiste family continues as we probe into the life life of Crystal the spoiled, selfish, self-centered daughter of Walter and Tracy. Loved by her parents who weren't good roles models Crystal enters into adult hood looking and expecting the worst. In this well written story of love, communication, trust, and forgiveness we find Crystal and her parents dealing with the road blocks of life.

This book give much needed closer of Tracy s story !

L**The first book was more of suffering of Tracy , 20 years of being humiliated, cheated, she was bringing up her daughter, running a house and earning money, and bending backwards to please Walter.
One the other hand Walter had been fucking around from college days,he spent his money buying baubles for his mistresses, expensive holidays, dinner and lunch dates at expensive restaurants.
On the other hand he was taunting Tracy for spending money on graduation lunch with her friends and family.
Here comes Sasha the bitch ,she used Walter's money, who was 17 years senior to her , fucking him , anywhere everywhere! Finally trapping him by first pregnancy.
🥂🥂🥂🥂 To Sasha she made Walter a free nanny and housekeeper, enjoyed spending his money with no bar and having good times with young guys 😃 .
Walter cheated on Tracy her Sasha cheated on him again and again and rubbed on his face, when he tried to control her money, she got pregnant again! Against his wishes....
As Walter 's mother quoted " There's no FOOL like and old FOOL "😭
Walter made his bed and he had to lie in it ! He didn't know weather second baby was his but he had to put up with him.
Crystal 👼 she was badly hurt by parents bad marriage,so it took her and Max time to understand their issues and finally figured it out.
Tracy had an excellent husband in Mark who 💕💕💕 her and loyal to the core. She deserved all the happiness.

4 stars because it was so good to see Tracey happy in love and being loved.

Walter realised the grass isn't always greener and is practically a sugar daddy. But he made his bed and has to lay in it was great to see. I don't believe in his happily ever after he just settled haha

Crystal was just a bit to full on to like but growing up and seeing what she has, I can see how it Marked her.
Max was a beautiful hero though. Loved him

I'd give this novel, Going Backwards 4.5 stars if I could. It's basically the story of Crystal & Max, who got married at the end of the first book in this series, although her parents Walter and Tracy have large roles also.

Crystal is a prime example of how growing up in a home with a bad marriage makes things tough on the children, mostly because Crystal listened to her mom complain about men cheating and watched her mom put up with her father's cheating for years. Of course, her father contributed by his constant cheating and the fact that he essentially had a second life, home, car and mistress.

Crystal was also very pampered, somewhat of a spoiled princess, which is why I think she didn't try very hard to fix things, just accused her husband and spied on him. I didn't find Crystal very likeable honestly, although I really enjoyed all the other characters, especially Tracy's friends.

People that cheat while married could learn a lot about what you're doing to your children and spouse by reading the two books that make up this series.

Forgiveness

With so much past hurt it's no wonder Crystal went down a path of destruction. There truly is no perfect marriage. No book can truly prepare you for it. Having witness the infidelity of her father, Crystal brought the emotional scars into her relationship with Max. The tale of how the two would press forward would meaning letting go the past and making a conscious effort to be better.
