Rowdy: Able Pets
Able Pets
By Feather Chelle Illustrated by D. Coleman
Meet Rowdy, a spirited puppy with an insatiable curiosity and a heart full of love. Together with his best friend, Dixie, and his beloved human, Rowdy’s days are filled with joyous romps in the grass and triumphant discoveries of hidden treasures—especially his prized pork chop bone, which he keeps buried deep beneath a giant shade tree.
However, as time passes, Rowdy's world begins to change. His sight and hearing fade away, leaving him lost in a world of darkness and silence. Overwhelmed and scared, Rowdy must learn to navigate life in a way he never imagined. With the support of his loving family, he begins to discover new ways to experience the world around him—through the rich smells of the earth, the comforting vibrations of his human’s footsteps, and the tender touches that remind him he’s never truly alone.
" Able Pets" is an uplifting story that shows that even when life changes in unexpected ways, there is still joy to be found in the simple pleasures of love, loyalty, and a good dig in the dirt. Perfect for young readers and families, this beautifully illustrated book written by Feather Chelle and illustrated by D. Coleman is a heartwarming reminder that, with determination and love, we can overcome any challenge.
Join Rowdy on his journey of discovery, and see how even in the darkest times, light can be found in the most unexpected places.
