Oh how I wish I could give this more star's! Victoria Danann is magic with the words ....this story about a wolf that along with his brothers took their pack to a new dimension to save them and the different pack's that are there. Konochur is the ladies man! The ladies, wolf or human love him and he loves his single status. I don't want to leave any spoilers but it's really hard not to. Your going to meet a human that was chosen as a wife by another wolf before Konochur came to this place. And what happens is magic. It changes people's lives. You do get to see or hear from someone from the other Black Swan series. I just have to say if Victoria Danann wrote it you know it's gonna be good! Trust me when I say you should really start at the beginning of these stories. My Familiar Stranger is the first book in this long line of stories and it's still FREE! You will fall in love with this man/wolf and the way he loves others. Don't even think about it do it....READ PEOPLE READ ...
You know a book is great when it pushes all your buttons. This one slammed my buttons. Some of them got stuck for a while they were pushed so hard. It made me laugh out loud at work on my lunch. I got a few funny looks for that one. It made me gasp, Hoping Konochur would survive the peril he was in. There were times I had tears in my eyes, it was so poignant. There is a whole lot of action in this story. It is hard to believe it is a novella, there is so much going on in this book. The romance just melts your bones. Of course wolves are great with children. The interplay with a child melted my heart & I fell in love again with another of Victoria Danann’s Wonderful Men. So I have another BBF. What are you waiting for grab yourself a copy of this book it is fabulous. From a forever fan…. Pam James.
Wolf Lover Konucher New Scotia Pack 2 by Victoria Danann is the second book in this series. I have come to expect an awesome, enjoyable read with each of Ms Danann's books and she never disappoints. She takes me on adventures and journeys that I never want to end. In Wolf Lover I gasped and cried while sitting on the edge of my seat. How Ms Danann triggered my fear of heights to kick in I could not tell you but at one point in this book she had my heart racing. I loved this book and look forward to the next in the series.
Victoria Danann once again brings you into her world of "wolves", demons, and dragons with her usual creative style of writing and ease that spins a tale you believe that could be real. You will find yourself falling in love with the handsome "wolf", Conn, and cheer him on as he does his best to win the heart of Lessie, a human. You will laugh, you will cry, you'll find yourself holding your breath as you gobble up the words in this paranormal romance. Thank you Victoria for another fantastic read.
I enjoyed her Black Swan series and knew this would be good too. Victoria has the perfect recipe here. I adore our new main characters. They make you laugh and fall right into their story with no trouble. I was emotionally invested right away. There was no long drawn out drama to make you want to read over scenes. In fact you will want to read it again just a few minutes after you have time to absorb it all.
This is the second in her series about kilt-wearing werewolves from Scotland (who could ask for more?). They have moved to another realm to establish a more natural life style. Giving up modern conveniences isn't so great a sacrifice to have clean air and water, plentiful game to hunt, and freedom from distrustful humans. It is almost perfect...until the dragon shifters invade their land bring death and promising destruction.
The first in the series told of the oldest brother Liulf and the move from Scotland to the Lunark Dimension to become the New Scotia Pack. This story is about the middle brother Konochur, called Conn. He is the playboy brother who never wanted to settle down until he meets a pretty widow and her young daughter. His change of heart is at the center of WOLF LOVER.
This is a wonderful tale about love, courage, and loyalty. It also poses a question the werewolf packs of Lunark must answer. They have rejected modern technology and hunt as wolves or with bows and arrows. Against the dragon shifters such a defense is almost useless. Will they have to move to another realm or be willing to accept the kind of weapons needed to defeat their merciless enemy? Will they have to give up their pristine life style in order to survive?
Victoria Danann is a wonderful story teller. This story can stand on its own. But why would you deny yourself of reading the whole series? I cannot wait to read about the third brother.
Wolf Lover Konucher New Scotia Pack 2 by Victoria Danann - I love the way the relationship between Lessie and Conn builds up in the midst of tragedy instead of insta-love. Conn (Konucher) is known for his way with women, but he isn't looking for a solid relationship so when he is presented with a challenge he dives head first not actually knowing what he is doing. Lessie and her daughter are suffering from a recent loss and she isn't looking for anything but to survive the days. She finds comfort in Conn as their friendship blossoms and things start to change when more things start to happen. Victoria Danann is an awesome author so I knew when I read this book it was going to blow me away and it definitely did that and more. I do have to say that I did pout with a certain part pertaining dragon shifters, I love dragon shifters in other books that I have read.
This is the second installment in the New Scotia Pack, Konochur or Conn as he is reverently called has gained a reputation as a ladies man, he is the love 'em and leave 'em type. He surely does not want to have anything to do with a human female that's for sure, that is until one young widowed female catches his eye, and he cannot understand why. The Dragon shifters have come and are cause havoc, and in order to keep the packs safe the packs must come together and put an end to them, Conn joins in the fight to prove to his new love that he will stop at nothing to keep his new family safe, even putting his life on the line. I enjoyed this book as much as the first, and I cannot wait to read the next installment, Victoria never disappoints with her stories and this is no exception.
This author has done it again, she's created a story with a new hero that grabs you from page one and doesn't let go until the final words. While a Werewolf colony in the Lunark Dimension works together with the help of Knights from The Order of the Black Swan to battle demonic like dragons whose joys come in killing, Conn enters Lessie's life to help her heal from the pain of a devastating loss. Victoria Danann has once again created an unforgettable couple who you can't wait to see again in future stories.
Ms. Danann has a way of making you feel that you are right there in the story; which is why I love her books so much!
Conn has a rep as a player. Lessie and her daughter are dealing with a recent loss. When their paths cross things will change for all of them.
I love to read a book where the main characters don't fall for each other right away; and Ms. Danann doesn't disappoint as we watch Conn and Lessie change and grow and...well you need to read the book to find out how it all ends....
As alway never a let down. This was a great next chapter for this series. I just love how Victora make you connect to all the caricatures in her books. Only bad thing is having to wait till the next one comes out :)
Victoria Danann has lured me in once again. Really enjoyed this book. (2nd in the series) Short story and very entertaining. I always enjoy when a womanizer falls in love. Hit all my emotions. It had tragedy, romance and laughter.
Well, this is a first for me. Usually I make notes as I read so that I can remember highlights of things I liked, love, was confused by, or didn't like. This time, I started the book, got interrupted a few times for chores, housework, husband and household demands, and then a nap. I picked the book back up and read it all the way through without any more interruptions and then I was done. I hadn't written any notes! I do remember that it was a fast read, and there was more action than the last book because there was a mortal threat to all three werewolf settlements from a group of dragon shifters who came to live in the same dimension and had no intention of living peacefully alongside the wolf shifters. There was meetings and plans made. Deliverance and Black Swan got involved. It was a detailed and epic battle in which the wolves prevailed. One injured dragon was left. She went looking to exact revenge by going for one of the children. In fact it was the daughter of the widow of the first fatalities from when the dragons first exerted their dominance. The very widow, a human, whom Conn had fallen in love with and patiently tried to woo. It was weird for him since he was such a player and had a previous disdain for humans. I was impressed with how patient he was with her and her daughter. Then, I was impressed with how he saved Lili the little girl by singlehandedly taking down the dragon. That was what earned him a place in Lessy's bed and in her heart. He successfully mated her and made her and her daughter his own, as well as the baby boy she delivered a few months later.
This is book #2 in the New Scotia series. This is Con's story, the middle brother of the Alpha of New Scotia. Con has been known as the infamous wolf bachelor who refuses to settle down, let alone with a human.
When he meets recently widowed Lessie and her 4 year old daughter, Lily, he knows that she's his mate. But Lessie is mourning the death of her mate Jimmy who was killed by the Dragon shifters who recently made Lunark their new home without permission from the other Alphas.
The dragons think that they are now in charge and the wolves will serve as entertainment and their meals. When Con takes an interest in pregnant Lessie's safety, he never expected to fall in love with a human and her half wolf daughter. Lessie is still grieving her mate, but doesn't know what to do with Con's sudden interest in her and Lily.
With the help of Deliverance and some Black Swan Knights, particularly Glen Catch, the Swans bring weapons to a technology free dimension to rid the wolves of the dragons forever. But when one comes after Lily, Con goes after the dragon, willing to give his life for his new family's safety.
Charming, womanizing middle triplet Konochur ‘Conn’ Cu Ahlee spotted new widow, Lestriv/Lessie, clutching her young daughter and pregnant belly as her husband’s remains were alight on the funeral pyre. Conn’s reputation had preceded him, neither his uncle nor aunt was willing to introduce them but his uncle finally recognized the look of a mating male.
Having no idea how to court a female, Conn goes to his uncle for advice. Meanwhile, a dragon nest has settled above the three clans and make no secret of the wolves knowing they will always be food for the dragons. That doesn’t settle well with the wolves who reach back to Black Swan for help.
To my taste for the most part, the hurried pace of this short is fine but it definitely reads as though there is a missing piece or two, annoyed this reader. Rating: 3.25stars
Who says you can't find love twice, when conn sets eyes on lessie he knows without a dought that she's the one to stop his wondering ways lol. Whilst getting over a heartbreaking time she finds comfort in conn who's come to help her and her daughter out in her delicate state. Whilst trouble still looms from the sky's all the wolves put there heads together to find away to stop the uninvited beasts who think there lunch. What an amazing read cannot wait to read the next book.
A good writer can convince you that you can see this world where the characters live. After a short while, you're a silent observer as the plot thickens and the characters experience the ebbs and flows of romance, joy, terror, love, hate and all the other human feelings that come with being human. Ms. Danann is an excellent writer. On to the next brother!
It's been a long time since I read the first book in this series so it took a bit to remember a the details, but not long! I really loved Conn and Lessie! I always love a good werewolf story and this one was very good! To see Conn, the horndog (with his admitted dislike of humans) of the family, fall so thoroughly for Lestriv was beautiful! I'm really looking forward to reading the last book in the series!!!
Conn was so sweet in his story. His patience until Lessie was ready was so endearing. Loved how he called her and the children his family and loved them as if they were his own- in his mind they were. Love the strength of character and courage that the wolf’s show especially in the face of mortal danger. Loved his interaction with Lily when they were negotiating what she would receive if she spilled the beans on her mother Lessie. Beautiful story!
If there ever was an archetypal hero among us, this Hero, Conn, would check all the boxes. But say we took away the budding, burning romance with Rains.Falling, and the fierce instinct to protect the ones you love, would he still act as heroically? I love V Danann's fantasy of heroism, and a hero's need for a strong, capable partner.
The New Scotia series continues with the story of Conn and Lessie. When dragons threaten the wolf packs in the Lunark, the wolves have to band together and eliminate the threat. Another beautiful love story full of excitement, family and lots of steam.
Liked this continuation of the Scotia saga ...engaging characters, relatable situations, n of course, a very satisfying end. I would recommend highly any n all of this author’s books!!
This story was filled with heartache, pain, lots of emotions, but had a great HEA ending. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and fantastic author.
I so enjoy Wolf stories, so much better when they are real life gorgeous men to boot. This was a fast read with lots of emotion. I so loved how the hero is so devoted and loyal. You will enjoy this story
