Třináctiletá Sadie má bratra Sonnyho - dvojče, který chodí do dramatické školy, je úspěšný a oblíbený. Sadie ho nesnáší a navíc má pocit, že mu všichni dávají přednost, protože je "nezajímavá", a z toho plyne její věčná nabručenost. K náladě jí nepřidá ani roztržitá maminka, učitelka hudby, mladičký nevlastní a puntičkářský tatínek soustředěný hlavně na miminko Martu, a potrhlý vlastní taťka, který v klidu bydlí dál s bývalou rodinou a nemá se ke stěhování. Nakonec Sadie dostane lekci, která jí ukáže, že není horší než bratr a že někdy i ona má důvod k radosti.

About the author

Karen McCombie is a bestselling author of children's and young adult novels, and has had more than 90 books published. She is the author of the much-loved series 'Ally's World' (early 2000s) and her most recent books include the Carnegie-nominated historical adventure 'Little Bird Flies' (2019) and it's newly published partner novel 'Little Bird Lands' (2020, Nosy Crow Books), plus the 'St Grizzle's School' series for younger readers (Stripes). She has several books publishing in 2021.
Originally from Scotland, Karen lives in London with her husband, her teenage daughter and beautiful but bitey cat Dizzy.

My younger sister made me read it. She found it funny. I didn't.
Maybe I am too old for this genre.
But I love diary of a wimpy kid.
This book just didn't click to me. But maybe it is for the preteens kids

Á moje další oblíbená hrdinka od Karen - Sadie. Sonny mě dost často rozčiloval jako Sadie. Ale to platí k povinnostem bratrů ;D. Rozhodně název Trhlá rodinka je na místě. ;)
