Meredith Mulcahey doesn't have time for love but when unexpected guests attend Akira and Zane's wedding, her life will change forever. Will it be for better or for worse? For fans of the Tassamara series, this short story (16,000 words) takes place at the wedding of the main characters from A Gift of Ghosts, after the events of A Gift of Time. One reviewer calls it, "a super fun, sassy, and supernatural story you don't want to miss!"
Sarah Wynde graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in English, which she actually managed to put to use by becoming an editor. She's worked on magazines, websites, and books, including ten years spent as a senior acquisitions editor with Pearson. Eventually, her love of writing pushed her into independent publishing. She likes to think of the stories she writes as unexpected fiction—bending, blending, and occasionally breaking genres.
Yes, finally the long awaited wedding of Akira and Zane is taking place, however, this short story revolves around one of the guests, Real Estate Agent, Meredith.
Meredith is single and her plus one is her Mother who has MS. As Meredith and her Mom settle in to enjoy the ceremony, she spots a profile which brings back only bad memories of her High School days.
Those that have followed this series, know that the Latimer family, including new Bride Akira, have selected paranormal abilities. Natalya, Zane's Sister, tells Meredith that it will be alright. Meredith choses to believe her. Meanwhile, Meredith's next door neighbors, Dave and Father seem to be all around her.
Now, you think you know what is going to happen, but, there is quite a twist to this tale. I suggest you read it for yourselves to find the expected and unexpected.
Like the other books, it was entertaining and an easy read. One sentence that the author wrote, I wish I would have had thought of myself, then I would have had a happier wedding. Something i will need to remember(to live in the here and now). Thank you Sarah Wynde for being a creative author. I look forward to reading more of your work.
Sarah Wynde is one of my favorite authors. I wish she would write more books, I re-read this series every year or two, because it’s so wonderful. Sarah made me realize there are other genres to try& not be stuck in my cozy mystery genre.
I even read her Syfy book, can’t remember the title but it’s awesome too! I think she could write in any genre & I would read her writing.
So sweet! This is a bonus for those who love Tassamara... Akira and Zane are getting married and everyone is there to see. Little bit of fun, little bit of distress, and a whole lot of love.
The series is great, but this one seem to fall short s little. Excuse the typos. I have changed the s a couple of time to an a and get.goes.back to the s
I love the way the author intermingled the story with all the sub plots. Each character remains true and just amps up the main plot. What a wonderful story.
