Hello there. I've been picking at this since the new year. Knocking down a few stories a week. There were some really clever stories in here. Not all of them were to my liking, but I enjoyed them regardless. When it's a short story it's hard for me not to finish it even if I don't care for the tale. As a side note I'll probably try at least 3 of the recipes in the book. I'd recommend this book to fantasy fans.
It's an anthology WITH RECIPES I know, sounds odd, but think about it. The stories center around bards and the settings are at inns Eating is kind of a thing that you would be doing at an inn, especially if someone was on stage performing.
So, some of the stories were kind of heavy and a bit dark, but overall I enjoyed it
