I have read all of Lauren's books and I love them all for different reasons. Sinful Longing isn't your normal boy meets girl, they fall in love and live happily ever after. We met Colin in the Sinful Nights Series. He's the tattooed brother under the sexy three piece suit. He has a past. He has baggage, but he's overcome it all. He is also already involved with Elle. It's casual, but he has it bad for and he wants more. It's a nice change of pace to have the man chase the woman. Elle is scared. She thinks her past is somehow tied to the man that Colin is. She enjoys his company and the sex is off the charts, but she's afraid of getting hurt again. Colin is sexy as sin with his tattoos and vests and Elle is gorgeous with her tattoos and giant heart. When things start to really heat up between them, will a secret kill his feelings for her? Will Colin be able to forgive Elle? Will Elle realize she wants more from Colin before it's too late? Ryan may be the dirtiest hero Lauren has written, but Colin very well may be the sexiest. It's the quiet sexy. He has a tortured soul, but the ink on his body tells his story. He's a survivor. He's a lover. He's a math genius. He loves his family something fierce and he wants Elle and isn't going to stop until he gets her.

Another sinful and decadent installment in the Sinful Nights series by the talented Lauren Blakely! Blakely is a FIVE STAR author! She can DO NO wrong in my book. She is my auto-buy author, my go-to author, and one of my favorite romance authors out there today. I'm never more giddy than I am when I see her books pop up on my Kindle. She brings us gorgeous alpha males like no other! There is such an intensity that radiates off of her characters that brings the books to life. Colin Sloan is a man who will haunt your dreams and steal your heart. He is a gorgeous, successful, protective, sex-god of a man who wants SO MUCH MORE from the woman he can't get out of his head. Blakely takes us on a passionate journey of temptation, desire, and healing - a divine friends-to-lovers romance that squeezed my heart and curled my toes.
I await Michael's book with such a fevered desperation, it's ridiculous. I will NEVER get enough!

Ha, I was definitely LONGING to get my hands on Sinful Longing, especially given the way that Sinful Desire ended—with a little cliffhangery moment that propelled the overarching mystery of this series forward…and maybe a little sideways. But also because…COLIN.
Colin Sloan hasn't always been the stand-up guy he is now. Now, he's a good guy in a bad boy’s body—tatted, tempting, smart, kind, and all kinds of sinful in the sack. And he wants Elle Mariano. But his past…well, that makes it difficult for Elle, what with her own past dredging up too many painful memories. No matter how much she wants him, too. Add in a secret that could derail them before they get started, and the continuation of a decades-old mystery, and Colin and Elle are going to have their work cut out for them if they're to go from wanting, to having.
I am absolutely in love with this series. I have questions (both new ones, and some that are still lingering from previous installments), and I am excited each time we edge a little closer to the final reveal, answer, conclusion...whatever you want to call it. But I am also thrilled that each book gives us a chance to fall in love with a new Sloan sibling, and this brother, Colin… *Swoon* Man alive, is this man sexy! Good with numbers, his fingers, words, his tongue, Elle, in bed. You get the idea, right? Colin Sloan, my (and yours, I would venture to suggest) newest, dirty-talking book boyfriend.
Sinful Longing didn't pick up exactly where I expected it to—and I actually really appreciated that. Ms. Blakely instead took us back a little further, to moments that paralleled Sophie and Ryan's story, and used it to establish a connection between this new couple, making their love story sweeter, more believable, more rewarding. And all the while ramping up the mystery surrounding Dora and the secrets she kept, the lies she told and the misdeeds she carried out...
And oh, what a mystery it is!! I'm impressed with how Ms. Blakely is bringing this story together. I loved how she worked Elle into the story—making her a part of the suspense, demonstrating her loyalty, her passion and her resolve. I loved that we got to see what Ryan and Sophie were up to, and got to know a little more about Michael (cannot WAIT for Sinful Love, FYI). And I loved that we got a doozy of a reveal at the very end…only to be left hanging.
Did I mention that I cannot wait for Michael’s book? That I'd LOVE to get my hands on it, right now? Because I can't, and I would. *Sigh* Back to my LONGING, I guess. ~ Beth, 5 stars

Holy hell… just when I didn’t think this Sinful Nights series could get any steamier, enter Colin Sloan and Elle Mariano. Two of the hottest dirty talkers I’ve read. Whoa. And while they smolder in between the sheets, they’re both equally amazing fully clothed.
Colin is trying to make up for his past mistakes. Questionable choices he made as a teen led him down some very bad paths with equally very bad people. But he’s now clean and sober—working hard and trying to woo one woman beyond a super sexy friends-with-benefits agreement to something more substantial. Something real.
But Elle’s doesn’t want to announce to the world the relationship status she shares with Colin—she’s not quite ready for that step. She’s haunted by her past and cannot allow her present to mess up the future life she’s set up for herself. Especially now when there is so much hanging in the balance for both Colin and Elle.
I just love this series. It’s suspenseful, funny, sexy, smart, sassy… much like both Colin and Elle. They’re amazing together but also separately. Colin is brilliant with his math acuity, Elle with running the youth center. Both so willing to help others, that they sometimes put their own needs second.
It was great spending more time with Ryan and Sophie, and Michael. And the boys from the youth center, Rex and Marcus. I’m anxiously awaiting book four, Michael’s story, not just because of the epic declaration at the end of Sinful Longing, but because I think Michael’s going to be put on his ass in Sinful Love. I. CANNOT. WAIT. ~ Missy, 5 stars

Colin is the tattooed one, the one with a shady past, the bad boy, but he turned his life around and now has a heart of gold. He only wants want is best for those in his life and spends time volunteering with the at-risk youth at the center Elle runs. He is a math superstar and works in finance.
Elle is the owner of at-risk youth center. She also plays roller derby—talk about kick-ass! She has a son who is her whole world. She is drawn to the forbidden and can’t stay away from Colin, even though she knows she should.
“So you came here tonight already wanting me?” he asked as he stroked her skin.
“More than I should,” she murmured.
The Queen of dirty talkers is back. And in this book it isn’t just Colin, though he is a master at it. But Elle, sweet, feisty, dirty Elle loves hearing her man talk dirty to her and giving it right back to him.
“You think about me fucking you?
“Fucking your hand. Fucking your face. Fucking your dick. I picture it all.”
The two of them together are hot as hell. They can’t keep their hands off each other and some of these places they get it on are highly creative.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story! I loved Elle and her fierceness. I loved Colin and his protectiveness. I loved seeing all of the Sloans as well as all of the boys at the center. Alex, Camille, and Elle’s mom rounded out the cast perfectly. I am anxiously awaiting Michael’s story and the end of this crazy secret-filled Sloan family drama. ~ Tiffany, 4.5 stars

Not only does the suspense continue in this book (I am addicted to this storyline!!!!!!!) but it keeps expanding, there is fabulous content and as always it is so well written that I am visualising while reading.
Sinfully sexy scenes between two strong hot as hell characters, I mean, this for me is as sexy a pairing as Julia & Clay. And great supporting characters that play great roles in making everything come together to give me what I want, which is a hot and sexy read with great drama along with it.
This is one of my favourite storylines Lauren has ever written I am GRIPPED!! I had goosebumps at the end. It needed a dramatic bit of theme music!
Damn if my friends aren't getting knee highs for Christmas! Along with Colin.......

I have read all of Lauren's books and when I am in the mood for a sinful sexy, sweet with a side of suspense read, she is my girl! I am never disappointed with the storyline, writing or turn of events. She hits me in the heart and other parts every single time! And this series is one of my favorites, the Sloan brothers and their love interests are sexy, smart, strong and funny. And with Colin, it's a bit darker...
Colin and Elle have been playing cat and mouse over the last year. Since the day they met there has been chemistry but Elle has made a promise to herself and her son that she would not be involved with an addict ever again after the death of her ex. Even though Colin is a recovering addict, she can't fully trust him with a relationship but she can't stay away from him sexually. Colin understands that her son is her priority but he is determined to show her that she can take the risk with him, that he can be more than an amazing booty call.
Elle knows Colin is a good man, better than good, a great man. He is a venture capitalist, gives back as a volunteer at her community center and would do anything for those kids and for her but she doesn't take risks, not with her body, especially her heart. But, with Colin it's different, he may give her multiple orgasms anywhere and everywhere except her bed but he also brings out the carefree Elle in other ways. But is he worth the risk? Will Colin's past be too much for her? And how would her son feel about her dating Colin?
This story is not all about amazing sex and love but also about the murder case that has been getting closer and closer to getting solved throughout the series. The murder of Colin's father. There are more clues, men involved and twists that you will not see coming. My detective side comes out during these times and can't wait to see it all put together in the end. It's a crazy tale about gangs, drugs and affairs...
I loved Colin and Elle's story! The chemistry is off the charts and they taught each other some good lessons. I also loved that Elle had a fourteen year old son, he is amazing and loves his mom so much. Their bond was so touching.
I can't wait to see what is next for the Sloans!
Overall...it was sexy, sweet, fun, suspenseful and it made me want to go roller skating!

He hit rock bottom, and with the help of his family, was able to become a better man. He works hard, treats his body like a temple, and is absolutely crazy about Elle Mariano. The sex between them is all time great, but this friends-with-benefits thing isn't working for him anymore. He wants ALL of her. He just needs to show her that the sexual chemistry they share can translate beyond just hot sex.
Elle has her own history with self-destructive men and she has vowed to never put herself or her son in that position again. And Colin's past scares her. She feels more for him then she lets on, but the fear of the past repeating itself makes Elle keep some boundaries on their "relationship".
But the heart wants what the heart wants. And as Colin starts to chip away at Elle's protective walls, Elle learns something that will throw the whole Sloan family's world for a loop.
Some of the events of Sinful Longing overlap with Sinful Desire (Book 2). If you want to read Sinful Longing and haven't read the previous books, I FULLY recommend that you start from the beginning (Sweet Sinful Nights). While each book focuses on a different Sloan sibling (and romance), there is an underlining story that flows through the WHOLE series. You would be missing the complete story of what is happening with this family.

Holy Man Batman, I thought the last book ended with a bang this one blew that one out of the water!
I can’t get enough of this family of this mystery. Add in a romance and I am hooked. I love the different POV’s it adds that extra suspense I didn’t know I needed. The fact each POV has their own narrator too, perfection.
Colin and Elle are the sweetest, I love that they were friends first it really helped me connect with them before they were a couple it gives that little extra step. I am not one for insta love. So the fact that they had the chemistry but gave each other time for it to grow before they couldn’t resist it any longer, that to me is the best kind of stories.
We learn all sorts of things about the case in this book and we get more of John’s POV which I am really intrigued by I want to know more I hope we get more of his POV in the next book. Speaking of off to start that one right now!

We learn all sorts of things about the case in this book and we get more of John’s POV which I am really intrigued by I want to know more I hope we get more of his POV in the next book. Speaking of off to start that one right now!

It’s been two days after finishing Sinful Longing and I’m still in shock over the huge cliffhanger of this book. It’s the biggest one of all the series, and I wouldn't expect less because the next book is the last one * CRYING SO HARD * I’m going to miss the Sloan Family so much when the series is over. Yeah, yeah, I know...it’s not over yet, but I can’t help to think there’s only one book left and that makes me sad because, seriously, Sinful Nights Series has become my #1 series from all the series that Lauren has written so far. God bless her and her plotting mind! *teary eyes*
So, this is Colin Sloan's book. He’s the bad boy of the family or he used to be back in the day. Now, he’s a successful entrepreneur and his free time is spent between high performance sports and volunteering for the community center where Elle is the director. They’ve been having a “ friends with benefits ” relationship for a while, but Colin started feeling a huge connection with her, not only because of the great sex - Because Oh. My. God. The Sex. Is. Amazing .- but because they have fun together, have similar goals in life and… well, because Elle is wonderful.
Elle, on the other hand, is a single mom, she lost her husband five years ago and since then, she’s been fully dedicated to her 14-year-old son and her job in the community center. I totally FLOVED this book! Even though it’s part of the series, the love story of Colin and Elle felt so different than Sweet Sinful Nights and Sinful Desire . I was sure I’d love Colin because I love bad boys, but he wasn’t a bad boy at all. He was this intelligent, romantic, great with kids and a sexy guy who stole my heart with the awareness of his flaws and his desire to keep fighting for always being a better man. Elle, on the other hand, was this strong woman, who knew what she wanted, despite denying it over and over along the book. I have to be honest, I was a bit annoyed about some choices she made in this book, but I understand why she did it. After all, I’m a #SloanGirl and I’m always gonna be on their side. I’m so happy with the development of their relationship. It felt real to me.
I can’t wait for the next book. I’ve had a theory about Michael’s story since book one and I’m 99% sure I’m going to be right about it, and Sinful Longing fed my theory about Michael’s book. Please, can it be March 2016 already? I need answers about the Sloan-drama and I need my fix with a new Sloan man!

My Sinful Longing was a great friends to lovers romance with a side of suspense. I love how the mystery has been slowly unfolding in the books, and for that reason, this book and series should be read/listened to in order.
Colin and Elle were wonderful. I loved how their relationship developed gradually and how well they knew each other. They both have their own demons, but have overcome so much to be better versions of themselves. The build up between them was fantastic and I loved their chemistry. There were a few bumps along the way, but I appreciated that there wasn't any unnecessary drama between them.
Zachary Webber and Ava Erickson both lived up to the 'sinful' title and were perfect as Colin and Elle. They made the sexy times scorching hot and I may have had to fan myself a time or two. There are lots of secondary characters, subplots, and POV's in this series and it's been so helpful to have different narrators cast for these roles. I especially enjoyed Tim Paige as Marcus and Scott Brick as John. Speaking of John, I could feel those sparks fly between him and Mindy and I'm hoping that gets explored in the future. The story concludes with quite the bombshell regarding the family mystery and it has me eager to listen to the next book.

The Sinful Nights series is one of my absolute favorites! It’s sexy, it’s mysterious, it’s romantic. It hits all my favorite things – Strong men, strong women, twists and turns, with some downright dirty sexy times. Lauren has done a brilliant job with mixing a murder-mystery into each of the Sloan brothers story. With every new sibling we meet, we find out just how twisted and complicated everything is and as I finish each book in this series, I can’t help but beg for more.
I think one of the things I love about Lauren’s writing is that she makes each of her characters pop. Whether it’s via their personality, their job choice, their extra-curricular activities, there’s always SOMETHING that makes them stand out. I know when Elle Marino is mentioned I will picture knee-high socks and a kick-ass roller derby girl. And when Colin Sloan is brought up, I will picture a tatted up guy with a heart of gold, playing basketball with teens and offering to help with math class. Lauren always takes the time to make sure her characters are well-rounded, solid, and believable.
Sinful Longing starts off before Sinful Desire ends. I love that the stories overlapped, it made everything between the two books blend for me. And after the way Sinful Desire ended, I loved seeing things from a new perspective at the beginning of Sinful Longing. Elle and Colin have a history – an attraction that’s never been more than physical in the past. Elle has some serious issues with moving forward and trusting – especially due to Colin’s past. Colin has lived quite the life – where he’s at now is not where he was just a few years ago. And because of that, Elle is very wary – even though she’s so drawn to him.
Colin is AMAZING. After everything he’s been through, and all that he’s overcome, he’s got an amazing outlook on life and what’s important. His outside – all tatted up and bad boy looking – definitely doesn’t match what’s inside him. He’s such a softie when it comes to kids – giving up his free time to volunteer at a youth center. He does everything he can to leave his past behind him, to move forward, and once he sets his sights on the sexy Elle, he lays the charm on and is irresistible!
When Colin attempts to date Elle, hot damn, that’s when things get H.O.T. When these two come together, they set the roof on fire! Colin is a damn fine dirty talker, and Elle gives just as good as she gets. The connection between them is more than just physical – they get each other. Their past experiences bond them in such a unique way. Everything about Colin and Elle smolders on the page, leaving you begging for just a little bit more.
And in true Blakely fashion, the ending of this book is just… WOW. Holy freaking shocker! I did not see that coming! I can’t wait for the next book, Sinful Love (Michael’s story) to see how this all ends. I applaud Lauren for making this series something special. The cast of characters in this series are something special. 5 stars!

I know I’m probably starting to sound like a broken record when it comes to my reviews of Lauren Blakely books, but seriously…this woman can do no wrong when it comes to writing hot, sexy romances with swoon-worthy heroes and feisty, strong women. Just when I think I’ve found my ultimate Blakely bbf she goes and writes another one, causing me to rethink all my choices…I kind of wish she’d stop already never stop writing.
After reading Sweet Sinful Nights, the first book in the Sinful Nights series, I didn’t think anyone could top my love for Brent Nichols. He’s since been elevated to book husband, leaving the bbf field wide open. I met Ryan Sloan in Sinful Desire…the controlling, dirty-talking, dominating brother of the Sloan family. Lord have mercy, that man, I still get chills thinking about him. But wait, here comes Colin Sloan, the tattooed reformed bad-boy, star of Sinful Longing…be still my freaking heart! And could that be a more apt title?!? Because once you read it you’ll be longing for a Colin of your own.
"Give in," he whispered. "I’ll make it worth your while."
Um, yeah…he totally made it more than worth my while!
Colin and Elle have been friends-with-benefits for awhile now, but Colin has come to the realization that he wants more than that from her…so much more. She’s worked hard to make a good life for herself and her son, and she wants to keep the past in the past.
I loved that Colin was willing to work for it, to work for her, to not give up on her when she was hesitant and scared by what they had. I loved how he went about wooing her, how determined he was to show her that he was a good man, that he was someone she could rely on, someone she could count on, someone she could have a life with. The chemistry between these two is off-the-charts hot...good lord, I was about to combust! They're both strong and determined, Colin is fierce and protective, Elle's feisty and independent. They couldn't be more perfect for each other. I absolutely love this couple!
The mystery surrounding the death of the Sloan siblings father and their mother’s involvement just keeps getting more and more interesting, and just when it seems we may be getting closer to a resolution Ms. Blakely throws in these twists that keep us guessing and on the edge of our seats! I can’t wait to find out how everything is wrapped up!

This is such an entertaining, erotic and suspenseful series! I would not recommend reading these as stand alones. It is best to start with book one because you will want to be able to follow the mystery that is slowly unfolding surrounding the death of the Sloan family's father, the gang they think is responsible and their mother who is in prison. This third book definitely revealed some big surprises in the mystery/suspense plotline. A new character is revealed that totally changes the game!

With each new release in the Sinful Nights series, Lauren Blakely manages to find new ways to capture and hold the reader's attention with increasingly sexy stories of love and lust, a cast of characters that are both familiar and engaging, and an ongoing suspense-filled plot that keeps you guessing with each new revelation. The third book in the series, Sinful Longing, includes not only a scorchingly hot new romance between protagonists, Colin Sloan and Elle Mariano, but a number of twists and turns that broaden the mystery still surrounding the Sloan siblings. Like its predecessors, Sinful Longing is the type of steamy that causes flushed cheeks and glazed eyes, although the connection between Colin and Elle is entirely unique to this couple. Sinful Longing is Lauren Blakely at her finest as she gives readers a romance brimming with sensuality and seduction.
After being introduced as the tattooed bad boy Sloan brother, I had certain expectations about Colin and I’m thrilled to say he met every one. A hero whose sole intent is to seduce the object of desire? It was indescribably sexy watching him and Elle engage in a battle of wills, with Colin determined to knock down the walls she carefully constructed in an attempt to keep their relationship strictly physical. Elle came as a pleasant surprise, mostly because her character was so complex that I couldn’t predict how she would think or act in any given situation. The more I got to know her character, discovering her thoughts and motivations, the more I empathized with her hesitations. That’s not to say I wasn’t not-so-silently rooting for their happily ever after (because I was).
In case it escaped your notice, I revealed next to nothing in regards to the plot. Every minute of this heart-pounding, breath-catching thrill ride should be experienced firsthand and I feel like revealing anything about the characters’ situations would take away the element of surprise. Sinful Longing is first and foremost a love story about taking chances and learning to trust, but it’s also a fast-paced mystery that poses as many questions as it answers. After an ending that had me screaming aloud in disbelief, all I have to say to Lauren Blakely is…well played.

This is hands down my favorite Blakely Book yet! The heroine in this book is just kick-ass and super cool. I want to be Elle Mariano. It has been a long time since a heroine has inspired me this much. Elle is a roller derby girl and she runs the local community center that works with troubled teens. She is strong, smart, and sexy as hell and she has Colin all tied up in knots. Elle likes to have multiple orgasms with no attachments. She has her son to worry about and does not need a man intruding on their system. Lauren got me here. I am a single mom with a son just like Elle's and I completely understood where Elle was coming from. It is hard to let someone into your life when you have children to worry about. Lauren captured these emotions brilliantly when she developed Elle's character. To add even more to the protective nature that Elle portay's Lauren created Colin with a dark past that Elle has had to deal with in her previous relationship. What would people say about Elle if they found out the man that she is falling for has the same past as her deceased husband. This story keeps you on your toes as you are given a glimpse into gang life and how the Sloan's have had to deal with constantly looking over their shoulder. Several things come to light in Sinful Longing that give the reader that ah ha moment. As for the heat in the read Lauren delivers what she is known best for. The chemistry is off the charts and of course she has a sexy scene or two or three in a public places..Colin wishes he would have handled things differently in the past. At this point you can't change the past but only make the future the best it can possibly be. Colin volunteers at the community center to help troubled teens to hopefully keep them from making some of the bad decisions he made when he was their age. He has done well for himself despite his past and is working to help others see that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. I fell in love with the characters and their story and if you like your romance reads filled with second chances take a chance on Sinful Longing it is totally worth it.

This was so freaking awesome! It's my new favorite in the Sinful Nights series to date. Loved Colin and Elle's story!
This was seriously great. I was pulled in right from the beginning. It starts out with a major bang and wow! fans self! It was nice and hot to say the least! I loved getting to know Colin and Elle. They were fantastic characters. Nice build up to learning all about them and their backgrounds. Loved the development of their relationship, from the steamy to the emotional. Very well written with a great pace.
I LOVED that there was more development in the overall storyline that's taking place throughout the series. Drama, mystery, intrigue... it's all so captivating and I was hanging on very detail. Loved all the ends and outs - I am totally hooked! I thought the overlap between the Sinful Desire epilogue (book 2) and this story was so clever. My perspective of Marcus totally changed and I really loved getting to know him, his history, and how everything played out. All the other characters were woven in well and I thought they added a lot to the story.
Fantastic writing with great details, it created a movie playing out in my head. Loved this from the passionate times to the intense times. Excellent read! I loved how Colin and Elle's happily ever after played out. And the epilogue that pertains to the overall story - bam! Did NOT see that coming. That's an awesome twist, I can't wait to see what happens next!

Following on from the previous 2 books, as Detective John Winston tries to piece together the murder 18 years prior. The characters were wonderful, I loved them all in the previous books, and they just keep getting better and better. I love the storyline, and I have to say it’s getting a little more tense in places as the detective starts closing in on his suspects. Secrets are coming out and and we’re getting a clearer picture as to the comings and goings in the life of Dora Prince, who, let’s face it, is at the centre of this whole series. What a mystery she is. Book 3 focusses on the youngest sibling, and twin to Shannon, Colin, as he tries to work out his feelings for his friend Elle Mariano, who because of a previous toxic relationship is giving off mixed signals, mainly because she’s fighting her attraction to Colin. I cannot get enough of this series, so, yes I’m diving straight into the fourth audio. I have no idea who chooses the narrators, is it The author? I’m guessing so, because so far this series they’ve been spot on for each character. Pure perfection. If you’re a bit of an audio junky like myself, you already know that Lauren Blakely always seems to have the best narrators, and Zachary Webber and Ava Erickson are no exception.

Oh where do I start with Colin? I have to say that after every book that she writes I message her and mention that this is my favorite brother. Well this is by far my favorite brother.
He’s done things that he isn’t proud of. He has done things that have left himself out on the ledge teetering and falling over. One moment is all it took for him to see that the walk on the wrong side of the law isn’t one that he wants to be on. So he does what many people don’t do. He makes changes. He fights hard, he works harder and he plays harder. Just this time the game is so much better.
Elle Mariano is fiery, loyal, and in major lust with Colin Sloan. He’s everything she craves in a man -- smart, sexy, kind -- and a rock star between the sheets.
So these two heat up the sheets. Actually I think they have done it everywhere but in between the sheets. They have a certain friends with benefits thing going for them.

This is one of my favorite Lauren Blakely books! The series has been a lot of fun, I like the overall plot of the Sloan's mom having their dad killed and all the secrets they've uncovered. It's intriguing and fun. This book in particular had a great story between Colin and Elle, they had amazing chemistry and the smut was so well written, whew! Colin is a recovering addict who loves extreme sports and his tattoos make him even sexier. Elle does roller derby which is awesome and badass and they fit together so well. The narrator was great, I could listen to his voice all day, sigh.
I can't wait to listen to the last book and see how the story wraps up!

Lauren Blakey's Sinful Nights series is so much more than sexy books with hot alpha men. I mean, it's those things too, but the best and most surprising part about this series are the crazy twists and turns that are woven throughout, and then there's this mystery that continues unravelling with each book in the series. It's so masterfully done that you just can't help but want to read every book in the series.
We've met Colin before. He's the black sheep in the family. The wild child. He doesn't drink - anymore, that is - and now we know the story behind his hard living that landed him in AA and swore him off alcohol forever. It's a sad story, but Colin is all about making amends. He's back on the straight and narrow, and when things get too stressful at his venture capitalist workplace, he uses exercise to get through it instead of booze and pills. And, he's trying to give back by volunteering at a community center.
That is where he meets Elle, the center director. She's the mother of a 14-year-old son and the widow of a man who died from an overdose. She has resolved - for both her sake and her son's - to never tangle herself up with another man with an addiction problem ever again. Which makes things problematic with Colin because they have crazy amazing chemistry together.
Isn't it adorable when men or women in books think that one quick roll in the hay will get the other "out of their system" and they can go back to business as usual? Ha. That plan doesn't work out too well for Elle and Colin either. To be fair, Elle is the only one with that mentality. Colin wants her. In every way, shape and form. And not just for one night.
I love that Colin knows that Elle and her son Alex are a package deal. He knows that he has to win the kid over in order to win the mom over too. He's great with the teenagers, and I loved reading about his interactions with the kids at the center that he tutors in math.
Elle is very guarded with Colin, and for good reason. Not only is her past with her ex a factor, but the fact that she has to think about her son as well. She has every reason to be cautious with Colin in her life. And, just about the time that she makes up her mind to go for it, she's hit with an extenuating circumstance that makes things a lot more complicated for her. And for Colin too. This situation puts Elle's and Colin's budding relationship in jeopardy, and to be honest, neither of them handled it the best.
Elle's hot and cold drove me a little mad. She seemed to be on board the hot Colin train one moment, and then want to run away the next. Back and forth she went several times - it was amazing Colin put up with all the waffling. But, of course, in the end, it all paid off for him.
Sinful Longing backs up the timeline that's been established and overlaps a bit with the events from the second book in the series, Sinful Desire. Sinful Desire ended on a huge reveal and cliffhanger, so now we're seeing the events leading up to that moment. We also see that moment again, from Colin's POV this time instead of older brother Ryan's. And, in keeping with the pattern that's been established, yet another bomb is dropped at the end of Sinful Longing, so I have a feeling we'll come back to that in Sinful Love, which is the final sibling - Michael's - book.

Let me begin by saying, if you have not started this series, rectify that right now. Sinful Nights series by Lauren Blakely is sexy on a raunchy level. Sultry. Seductive in the most captivating manner. The series is on a suspenseful level that keeps you not only wrapped up in the story but intrigued as well.
Sinful Longing picks up where Colin and Elle are introduced in Sinful Desire. The characters already have a game of cat and mouse in process, so the opening is hot and frisky. Colin, the youngest of the Sloan siblings, is driven and dedicated to his profession and his family. Elle is the director of a community based program. Their mutual appreciation for sex and ink brings them together. What keeps them going is that they are both driven and focused. Elle enjoys the rush that Colin provides, she's just not sure he's a risk she can afford to take. Especially when that risk can jeopardize the well being of her family.
Ms. Blakely has really set the bar high with the Sinful Nights series. Dirty talking heroes. Equally dirty talking heroines. The heroines own and revel in their sexuality. The heroes provide a game of pleasure that will make your sheets sweat. Strong supporting characters that complete the plot without losing sight of the main story line. To say I like this series is an understatement. I LOVE it.

Colin was quite the charmer. He was genuine, kind and determined to not let his past dictate his future. His passion for helping others was admirable and swoon worthy and dare I say gave my other Blakely Boys a run for their money. Though I was a bit frustrated with Elle at times, I understood her instincts and respected her decisions. I loved watching these two succumb to the chemistry they shared.
The consistency Lauren delivers with each book is unsurpassed and one of the reasons why she is among my most read authors. I have come to expect a certain number of things from Lauren’s books and Sinful Longing delivered on those expectation with likeable characters, a great story, cameos from other characters in Lauren’s books, hot sex and romance to boot. Even though I go into each book with an air of expectation, I am always pleased by the unique experience each book provides.
Though this book could be read as standalone, the reader should know there is some unresolved conflict that has traversed the series and is expected to wrap up in the series conclusion, Sinful Love, which is coming March 2016.

I haven't read the first two books in this series, but it's easy to follow anyway. (I think it would've been better if I had, though, just because of the subplot with Colin's father's murder. I'm guessing I'd have a more complete picture if I had read the first two books.) But the main plot with Colin and Elle? Yeah, that's easy to love even with no background.
(I think these are more connected books than an actual series, though; it seems like each book focuses on a different member of Colin's family.)
And I definitely do want to bingeread the first two books (maybe before the last one comes out?) but I'm not sure when that can happen. I have to say, though, I am going to miss Colin and Elle. (Colin probably makes a cameo but Elle probably doesn't.)
Which reminds me, probably my favorite thing about Lauren Blakely's books is the way that she writes these flawed characters who still fit together so perfectly. Her books are just amazing, and if you haven't read them by now, you really should.
This is basically everything I've come to expect from Lauren Blakely: hot sex, sweet scenes and now insane amounts of suspense (well, okay, that last one is new).

And I definitely do want to bingeread the first two books (maybe before the last one comes out?) but I'm not sure when that can happen. I have to say, though, I am going to miss Colin and Elle. (Colin probably makes a cameo but Elle probably doesn't.)
Which reminds me, probably my favorite thing about Lauren Blakely's books is the way that she writes these flawed characters who still fit together so perfectly. Her books are just amazing, and if you haven't read them by now, you really should.
This is basically everything I've come to expect from Lauren Blakely: hot sex, sweet scenes and now insane amounts of suspense (well, okay, that last one is new).

These Sloane men are more than desirable and the Sinful Nights series just keeps getting hotter!!!
Colin Sloane - simply put; he is every single Mom's hot fantasy and then some! He's smart, kind, tattooed, hot, compassionate, pleasurable, and good with kids. Lauren Blakely has done it again with her amazing writing! She will keep you on the edge of your seat! I can't wait for Michael's story as I am absolutely loving this series! A definite must read!!!

The best book in this series!!
This is absolutely my favorite book of this series!! I fell in love with Colin...hardcore. I love that from the very beginning he was all about making Elle see him as more. More than a guy who volunteers at the center, more than a friend, more than a great orgasm and most importantly, more than his past.
No surprise though that I loved the strong female character, Elle just as much. Lauren Blakely does female leads better than anyone I know. Elle is fierce and driven, she strong but she's also vulnerable. She loves her son but she recognizes that she deserves happiness too. And she's a roller derby chick? Seriously, Elle is thebomb.com.
As with the other books in the series, Elle & Colin's love story is weaved with clues to the mystery surrounding the Sloan siblings father's death. This time I never saw what was coming and now I'm dying to see all of the clues come together for some complete picture. The suspense is killing me. I can't wait to see what unravels as we get to, hopefully, see Michael get his HEA in the final book of the series!

So far this is my favorite of the series! Colin and Elle have chemistry, there is no denying that. Only problem is Elle has been burned by an addicted man once before, the father of her child who died from an overdose. She doesn't want to take a chance on Colin since he is a recovering alcoholic. The two flirt, they have hot, passionate sex in all kinds of settings, but they keep each other at arms length at the same time. They both want more, but can they conquer the obstacles in their way?
This book is so much more than hot love scenes and sweet romance. There is a very compelling story unfolding along with the relationship between Colin and Elle. More secrets about the Sloan's mother come to light. There is danger all around, and unexpected news shakes them all to the core. This one is full on angst and had me guessing until the end. Great book, can't wait for Michael's story!

Holy crazy BOMBSHELLS, this book was INTENSE!!!
For those of you who haven't read the others in this series, STOP HERE and start them at the beginning. For those who are caught up, you will NEVER see this one coming!
I don't even know how to begin reviewing this book with all the stuff I just read. The chemistry between Colin & Elle is off the charts HOT - seriously - make sure you have spare panties available. And then we get to the storyline that weaves throughout the series...
We FINALLY learn a few secrets that blow the decades long murder case WIDE OPEN, and OMFG did they ever knock me for a loop! And that last bit of info had me screaming at my kindle, BEGGING for a few more pages. Holy Shit. I was already looking forward to the next book (since its the conclusion of the series & we finally learn EVERYTHING), but now I am craving it like you wouldn't believe. Lauren Blakely outdid herself with this book, and I think you will agree once you read it.

I absolutely love how the suspense theme untwists a bit more in each book of the series. I especially love that the next book picks up right where the last one left off, but from a different character's perspective. The romance aspect of this story is sweet and touching with enough heat to get your motor humming! As always the narration is excellent and helps bring the characters to life while enhancing an already well written cast and plot.
